Lightroom :: How To View JPG From LR4 On Plasma TV
Jul 14, 2012
i have Problem to view JPG from LR4 on my Samsung Plasma TV (50 Zoll) via build-in Media Player of TV and SDHC Card per USB. The TV takes usually 2 seconds time to open the jpg und shows fotos sharp and kontrasty. Es is sofar essentialy to every JPG, for example from pentax, olympus, canon, nikon. The Samsung Plasma TV is new, has 3 D (PS50C 6970 ).
a few day bevor i convert raw to jpeg with Lightroom 4 for the first time. Within LR ist every thing normal, i can develop photos scharp und kontrasty like i want. If i view JPG on my samsung Plasma TV (50 Zoll) then die openning takes too long time (> 12 seconds) und die Photos ist blurred, unscharp. I tried many export options like jpg size, quality or solution, but the problem stays the same.
I suppose that the Problem is JPEG format output from LR4 which Samsung TV not optimal supports.
how to make a plasma effect on photoshop. Like ... those things that come from behind the power puff girls when they fly. it's very bright. i wanna know how to make that effect. if anyone knows how please help.and i don't want that cheesy effect like outer glow or feathering.. i want a good quality sun-bright plasma glow.
I have been trying in vein to replicate this plasma shield, I feel that it is a tough cookie to crack, I have tried everything, and can get to an image that looks like a swirly mass, but no further. I know that this is a really hard thing to do,
I was blown away by Greg's Plama Effect picture, not only the plasma, but that neat plasticy sheen that was the background. How did you get that sheen?
how they did that plasma text thing on the homepage of this site.
now, I'm no newbie to PS but I don't have the time to figure it out on my own because I have a game that needs to be finished by Nov. 6th, it is not my intent to copy this effect but I would like to know how it was done so as to bolster some ideas of my own,
I want to write a Java program that mimics the plasma filter. However, my first few (as in 30-40) attempts have not been very successful. If GIMP provides algorithms or source code for the filters anywhere?
I have CorelDraw16 loaded on a W7Pro 64 bit system it has all the latest updates, I use it to run my Roland vinyl cutter. I am trying to convert some drawings to a DXF format so they can be cut on a CNC Plasma Table as well. It is my understanding CD16 by default saves DXF files as "Splines" you have several options for what years of Autocad to save them as.
The two tables I have tried to upload my DXF (R11, R13,AC 2005 or AC 2008) files are a Koiki Aronson and a Retro Plasma System. Neither one could open the files. Further research shows that some CNC machine controllers prefers "Polylines" over the "Splines".
I have found an add on utility (Leonard CNC Pro Software) that will export the DXF file as a Polyline, Polyarc, Line/Arc or a Line only. I have other options such as toolpath directions ect.
How do you get the lines an easy way? I was wracking my brain and I just couldnt figure it out. I tried doing clouds, and making the lightning type thing then using satin for some shading etc... But it doesnt look really lasery, and i had to reduce the size alot.
Using Corel to prepare images for cutting on a CNC plasma table. any easiest way to prepare images for cutting. With merging images, Lettering and original art work transfer. I need to convert to a DXF format to drop into the machine program (Sheetcam). I have used trace with some success. By this, I mean that the image "looked" good, but I seem to be doing something wrong because the graphic will not run on the machine.
While tracing a tree image using splines for a school project i have run into some problems...I am creating a pattern for a plasma cutter.
When i move the points of my spline sometimes it causes the whole spline to randomly move around and twist and turn where there are no points. Also sometimes when i open the drawing some of the spline lines are out of place while the spline points have not moved.I have tried to constrain all the points but it turned into a mess. How can i stop this from happening?
The loupe view on the second screen used to display information about the photo. I double clicked on it and it disappeared and no matter what I do I can't seem to get it back.
On the primary screen this can be added/removed or changed in Library Module by selecting the menu view->view options... which gets you to a settings window where you can set what shows. However, I cannot seem to find a similar thing for the second monitor.
I know there is the option to "treat jpg as seperate files" in the library, but i feel it clutters up the library so i tend to avoid this. However, if i treat them as the same, the JPG does get saved into the hard-drives directories, but it isn't visible at all in LR. I understand that this is by design, but what is the point of it then, if there is no way for me to look at the jpg (e.g. for comparison).
so my question: is there a way to see the jpg file, unless i treat it as a seperate file (and hence de facto duplicate the number of images in my library)? what i am looking for, is occasionally being able to view that jpg that has been saved to the directory.
I am trying to use Lightroom and whilst it imports images successfully, I cannot view them at all. I do not have the '?' so this isn't a problem but I don't know what else it can be. I am using 4.1 but currently downloading 4.2 (very painful, almost impossible in Indonesia), but I would imagine this shouldn't be an issue either.
I recently installed LR4 on a maching that is running LR2.7. I would like to be able to view the LR2 catalog or images in LR4, but not necessarily convert all the photos to LR4. I have been told that I should not do a wholesale conversion of the images to LR4. I am not sure how to view the LR2 images in LR4 without converting the catalog. Is there a way to accomplish this without a wholesale conversion?
I edited a file in photoshop (CS4) "saved" not "save as" and imported it back into LR3 file was imported as DSC5677.psd while the original is DSC5677JPG. I cannot see the psd file in either library or develop models. How do I find/view the file?
I use lightroom with a very large image catalog. When I open lighroom I would like to be at the same point as I was before I closed lighroom or be at the very end (where the latest images are) of the catalog.
I don't know what happened. Initially everything seems fine. Then when I use loupe view to see video, the view only shows the left top corner (about 60% of the length and height). And I can't change (zoom out) back to show the whole video.
When working on images in Develop, Lightroom 5 is distorting them. For example, let's say I'm looking at an image in Library view (fig.1), then switch to Develop view (fig.2) — the image is suddenly compressed horizontally (or stretched vertically, however you choose to describe it).
At other times, images get distorted and rotated (fig.3). And at other times, images were appearing as though a sharpen filter had been applied with accented highlights — but this particular distortion doesn't seem to be happening anymore.
This does not happen to all images in the catalog. I'm running LR 5.2 on a 15" MBP with 16GB ram and a 1.2TB fusion drive.
I'm late on a deadline beause of this, and other local (NYC) experts, as well as Adobe phone support, are as stumpted as I am.
I've just imported all my photo's into LR5 in order to categorise and delete where appropriate (In Library mode). Although JPG files are displayed where no RAW files exist, JPEG files are not displayed where corresponding RAW (CR2) files exist. I have checked the box in Preferences to treat JPEG files next to RAW files as seperate photos, but this seems to have no effect.
Upon importing pictures into Lightroom, I create a collection and put the images I want to keep in the collection. This still leaves me with images within my original folder. Is there a way I can view the pictures that are not used in a collection but still in the folder so I can delete them?
Is there a way to view files in LR with different profiles? I looking to perform the same function I can in PS (view>proof set up>custom>picking my stored profiles to use for viewing). I primarily use LR and prefer not to keep switching back and forth. I have LR 3.6.
I’m not sure where the problem lies but when I view images in Lightroom 3.6 in the Grid View they are out of focus. If I view a single image in the Loupe View it’s fine. This doesn’t happen in any other application I run. My PC has an ASUS GTX 550 Ti graphic card
