wondering about the plasma effect.
How do you get the lines an easy way? I was wracking my brain and I just couldnt figure it out. I tried doing clouds, and making the lightning type thing then using satin for some shading etc... But it doesnt look really lasery, and i had to reduce the size alot.

Like ... those things that come from behind the power puff girls when they fly. it's very bright. i wanna know how to make that effect. if anyone knows how please help.and i don't want that cheesy effect like outer glow or feathering.. i want a good quality sun-bright plasma glow.

Anyways I tried looking for a way to do it in flash and was unsucessful, if anyone knows a way to do it in flash that would be my prefference as I dont use Photoshop too often. However I could do it in photoshop and import it into my movie.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am 2 days into using X6 instead of X4 attached to my trotec engraver, using XP.All goes well with the print to the trotec job control, with it picking up the red vector cut line.
But if I print multiple pages, or use print merge (which is essentially the same thing), the cut line only prints as red on the first page. From then on the print line is some grey colour and consequently the laser does not pick it up.
Have tried changing colour conversion to the Trotec, but this doesn't have any effect.
I need to send 2D drawings for laser cutting. Opti is the laser software..My issue is that the laser cuts to each grip and gives the cut metal a serrated looking edge.
Removing/simpliying the lines into fewer (microscopic!) segements or being able to adjusts the number of grips.
I have just installed Corel Draw X5 upgrading from X3. Using the program to run (2) laser engravers.
One Xenetech XLT1325 and one ULS M-300. Everything works fine until I send over a job which requires a vector cut line (hairline set to higher power to cut through plastic etc..) The vector do not appear to be recognized by either laser machine. I have tried to import the pallette that I was using in X3 but to no avail.
I have a gray scale tiff image that will be printed on a corrugated fibreboard carton.
I need to show what this image will look like at 45 DPI when viewed on a screen and printed out in a PDF file.
How would I show the actual 45 DPI in the image itself?
I Have seen images before that are in 45 or other DPI but for the life of me can't figure out how to do it.
I have Photoshop 4 here at home on my Mac laptop and am about ready to pull my hair out trying to figure this out.
I know if I had a LaserWriter, I would just assign a DPI to the tiff image when it goes to the printer and it would print out at 45 DPI.
This effect is what I need to be seen on the screen.
I don't have to print it out and scan it to show the 45 DPI effect,
I am trying to add a "ripple" effect onto this sphere to make it look like a drip of water was falling on it. (any tips on the sphere itself are also greatly appreciated)

I need to make a glow effect around the brush. I have attempted this in Adobe Illustrator (using the "Outer Glow" effect) but I am distinctly underwhelmed by the results.

I would like to make the logo either a "wet" question mark, or have it say the actual word "WET" and have it look like water. I have gone through a couple of water droplette tuts, and have applied it to the text, but am not getting the effect I am looking for. I am NOT looking for the "gel" look either.

Also, how can I make a nice, clear image @ 100 x 56px image? I have gone through the tutorials that apply the actions/recording, but have not gotten nice results.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have Problem to view JPG from LR4 on my Samsung Plasma TV (50 Zoll) via build-in Media Player of TV and SDHC Card per USB. The TV takes usually 2 seconds time to open the jpg und shows fotos sharp and kontrasty. Es is sofar essentialy to every JPG, for example from pentax, olympus, canon, nikon. The Samsung Plasma TV is new, has 3 D (PS50C 6970 ).
a few day bevor i convert raw to jpeg with Lightroom 4 for the first time. Within LR ist every thing normal, i can develop photos scharp und kontrasty like i want. If i view JPG on my samsung Plasma TV (50 Zoll) then die openning takes too long time (> 12 seconds) und die Photos ist blurred, unscharp. I tried many export options like jpg size, quality or solution, but the problem stays the same.
I suppose that the Problem is JPEG format output from LR4 which Samsung TV not optimal supports.
A friend of mine used photoshop a while ago to do this effect on a image for me i was wondering if anyone can help me out and give me instructions on how to make this scan line like effect.
