View 3 RepliesI use lightroom with a very large image catalog. When I open lighroom I would like to be at the same point as I was before I closed lighroom or be at the very end (where the latest images are) of the catalog.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just took some images as both RAW and JPEG images thinking I would see them as separate images in LR4. However I see them as a single image with a file name that says RAW + JPEG. They are separate images in my folder but I can't import them as separate images.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just completed working on about 30 images that started out as horrable lighting and color. Most of thhem are Nikon RAW images I would like to compare my finished edited images with the ones I started working with.
View 3 Replies View Relatedhow can I check the native resolution (ppi/dpi) and bit depth of my image files (jpeg, dng and pef)?
If it is not possible in lighroom, is there a free app for Mac that makes this possible?
I was wondering if it was possible to set a setting in Lightroom such that when looking through my images in the Library module, I only see the final edited image. For example, if I send the image to Photoshop to do any retouches, it creates a copy of the file. When I save the file in Photoshop, I then have two images in the Library module. However, I would like to keep all the history, but when browsing through my images I would only like to see the final image.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn my copy of Lightroom 5.3, image info tooltips do not show in the grid view expanded cells even though that option is activated in view options. Is this an issue with Lightroom 5.3? (Note: Image info tooltips in grid view compact cells and the filmstrip do display, however.)
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe loupe view on the second screen used to display information about the photo. I double clicked on it and it disappeared and no matter what I do I can't seem to get it back.
On the primary screen this can be added/removed or changed in Library Module by selecting the menu view->view options... which gets you to a settings window where you can set what shows. However, I cannot seem to find a similar thing for the second monitor.
How to change the view in CS6 so that it is as sharp as my email program?
View 20 Replies View RelatedWhen I open up an image I just get the chered box that I see on transparancy gif. Is there some silly setting to hide the image?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to view all the colors in an image at once in GIMP? If not is there a place I can suggest it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a trial of CS6, and I haven't been able to use it yet because whenever I try to open an image, it automatically goes to a image of black and white checkered squares and how to change it to the original image! I figured out that it is because it is in RGB color, which I thought was the best color to have it in. Any other color mode works, but WHY won't RGB work??????
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a fish image downloaded online and I want to use it to design a fish in CINEMA 4D and animate it but before using that on CINEMA 4D I need to take this image to PHOTOSHOP and extract the top view and save it as a separate image and also extract the side view and save it as a separate image too but my problem is that I don't know how to get the top view and the side view of a photo or image
The attached file is the sample of the fish image that I want to take out the top and side view and save them separately
After I have created the whole 3D image using autodesk 3ds max, there is an option to view it at any angle like front, left, right etc. or I can view at any random angle by using the mouse. But how do I view the rendering at a particular angle like 15degree or any angle specified by me. I am an amateur in using autodesk.
View 4 Replies View Relatedis there a way to take an image opened in Gimp and display the palette of colors in the image or convert the image itself into a palette of colors that are in the image?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI found this image in a textbook and it's supposed to be a three view first angle projection of the boat. It looks like main view is a plan view (top).
What confuses me about this is that the left view, looks like it's of the left side. But only third angle projections order views this way (left view being of the left side, top view being of the top, right view being of the right). So is this picture a first angle projection or a third angle? Or is it all together wrong?
I having an issue with CC.When electing in the preferences to not open image in Tabs. The images open with only about 25% of the image area showing. Forcing me to (command) 0 for full to screen preview or (command) +/- to see the image.I am not talking about seeing the image at 100% resolution just the entire image within the floating window without having to command before view.
Sidenote: Adobe Customer Service is all based in India. I spent 4 hours on the phone only to hear that this is that way photoshop works. There would be no logical explanation for this. Since the first version of Photoshop this has not been the case.I think this should be called view porn with wife in the room mode. Other than that I see no point.
When I go to customize and drag "View image file" to a toolbar, although it says "view image file" on the toolbar it is in black, and doesn't work when clicked on. This is the case on at least 2 entirely different systems.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi made a 3d view with background sky image and looks great on the cover sheet. but when exporting to dwf it does not show up.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to decipher an image (it's for an online game and I refuse to cheat for the answer!!)
I have a .psd image, that I have opened into layers - see the attached screenshot... It makes far more sense than the long-winded paragraph I just deleted!! All other layers were easy to deal with I just had to click on the eye to make them visible, but the one with the dotted box around it - I can't work out what to do..
So for this troublesome layer, I need to work out how to 'see' whatever is hiding in there. I have played around with lots of things, but the best I get is a white box if I remove the alpha channel.
I don't want to know what the other letters are, just how to find them.
The original image is here, it will prompt to open or save: [URL] .......
I didn't see any way to view technical information about the currently open image. Is there such a dialog, and if not, can you add it to the next version ? Would really come in handy, especially if you can additionally add complete EXIF data viewing/editing support in the same properties dialog. If this latter bit is too much, even a basic dialog displaying the image properties would be very nice indeed.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that in Paint Tool SAI (which I really wish I could buy but I have no money) has two things I wish GIMP could do.
1: SAI has an ability to rotate the view without rotating the image itself.(rotating a graphics tablet to comfortably get the pen stroke right.) Is there any way this could be implemented into a new update of GIMP?
2: SAI has really good pressure sensitivity and natural *smooth* pressure strokes. I've kinda noticed GIMP is geared more towards Mouse/Touch pad art creation; is there any way to get pressure sensitivity into the program?
I'm afraid to use GIMP anymore because the whole program takes about 20 minutes to load, from clicking the application icon on my desktop. Once it's up though, it functions well. Even after I close it out, and end up clicking the application icon again, it takes another 20 minutes to load up.
I have an image (jpeg) showing in the model view as transparent 50.
However, when it is viewed in Layout view the image is not tranparent. The VP transparency is also set to 50 in layer properties.
Can not view image at full size when in liquify. e.g. the image is much smaller when you select liquify and when you enlarge it it pixelates. Is there a adjust or is something wrong with my Elements?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI'd like to create a series of textures that are essentially deuteranopic versions of other files I have. Although I can view the files as they would be seen by a deuteranopic using a proof view, I cannot find a way to save the file as it appears in this proof.
I have tried for hours to find a solution across the help topics and even attempted to find third-party programs to no avail, and using screenshots to capture the view and save them is time-consuming and creates errors when I need to preserve partial transparency of certain textures.
If i zoom in image so it's bigger than "Fit on Screen" then if open/create or go to other opened image and return to 'zoomed' one, PS reposition area i see to right upper corner.
View 3 Replies View RelatedBeen working on my bands logo that has 2 layers on it. One has layer effects on it (inner and outer glow). When I flatten the image, it changed the way that it looked. Found out that it just "looks" like it changes because my canvas wasn't at 100%. I have to zoom out to about 25% to be able to see the whole image and work on it.
Is there any way to accurately see my whole image on the canvas and what the layer effects will actually look like? The way it works now, how the image will change once I flatten it. Being zoomed out makes what I'm actually viewing on the screen to be wrong it seems.
I attached 2 images, (Both are at 25%) the first one is what I'm looking at on screen BEFORE I flatten the image. This is what I want my actual image to look like. The second is AFTER I flatten the image. Notice the inner/outer glow gets smaller. I tried to just increase the size of the glows to compensate once I flatten it since I noticed that they were basically just shrinking. This doesn't really work though and I lose the noise effect on the white outer glow.
How am I supposed to work on the image and see what it looks like as a whole if zooming out doesn't show what the image will ACTUALLY look like?
I use Xara sometimes to resize images/photos. Quite often I use the clip view function to crop the image to the precise size I need.
I just recently found that when I export my clipped views, always as pngs, they have a very small 1 to 2 pixel edge around them. I can keep clipping but it continues to stay there. I exported with alpha and without to see if it made a difference but it doesn't.
I am now having to use my raster program to resize but had liked using Xara for it. The raster program works fine and I suppose every program has its uses so I just won't use Xara for photo clipping and exporting anymore. I just think that there shouldn't be an issue since Xara seems to want to handle photos more.
The attached images show extreme closeup of a blue image on a black background (the black background is used for checking this very problem).
I'm working on an edit, which is in video mode. Now I have to include OpenEXR material, which is in linear mode. How can I combine the two and still have the correct color?
I can set it in view mode to linear, but then all my video shows as linear too, plus, as soon as I leave the view mode, it all goes back to video, and my EXR's are too dark then..... what can I do?

I know there is the option to "treat jpg as seperate files" in the library, but i feel it clutters up the library so i tend to avoid this. However, if i treat them as the same, the JPG does get saved into the hard-drives directories, but it isn't visible at all in LR. I understand that this is by design, but what is the point of it then, if there is no way for me to look at the jpg (e.g. for comparison).
so my question: is there a way to see the jpg file, unless i treat it as a seperate file (and hence de facto duplicate the number of images in my library)? what i am looking for, is occasionally being able to view that jpg that has been saved to the directory.
i have Problem to view JPG from LR4 on my Samsung Plasma TV (50 Zoll) via build-in Media Player of TV and SDHC Card per USB. The TV takes usually 2 seconds time to open the jpg und shows fotos sharp and kontrasty. Es is sofar essentialy to every JPG, for example from pentax, olympus, canon, nikon. The Samsung Plasma TV is new, has 3 D (PS50C 6970 ).
a few day bevor i convert raw to jpeg with Lightroom 4 for the first time. Within LR ist every thing normal, i can develop photos scharp und kontrasty like i want. If i view JPG on my samsung Plasma TV (50 Zoll) then die openning takes too long time (> 12 seconds) und die Photos ist blurred, unscharp. I tried many export options like jpg size, quality or solution, but the problem stays the same.
I suppose that the Problem is JPEG format output from LR4 which Samsung TV not optimal supports.
