If i zoom in image so it's bigger than "Fit on Screen" then if open/create or go to other opened image and return to 'zoomed' one, PS reposition area i see to right upper corner.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently found out about the 3D features in Photoshop and I started to experiment with them. I've created some nice extrusions. However, when I try to start the render of my current project, it waits a short while and then continues on rendering the rest of the image, leaving a grey box in the upper-left corner. When I zoom in, I can see that the texture is in place and the box starts at the border of the 3D object, not at the border of the image.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium x64, Intel i5-2430M (2.4 GHz), nVidia GeForce GT555M (1 GB) and 8 GB of RAM. I've rendered my other projects successfully with the same settings (all highest quality, though very slow). Could this possibly be a bug in the software, is it an error of mine or is this 3D document just irrenderable?
A friend asked me to create a logo similar to The North Face by using a song name. The upper right corner needs to be rounded allowing the color fill between the two silver parts. It looks somewhat ok, but as you can see it is not very proportional. I tried the aics_scripts file that I found from searching, but i can't get it right, most likely because the curve in the logo is not perfect. I have linked jpegs of 2 possibilities - the third image is made from creating a border in the appearance but then i cant get an additional outline around it with the silver color

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen exiting a drawing by clicking on the small X in the upper right corner of the drawing, my program routinely "stops working". I get the error message that it has stopped working and it closes. No chance to save work in other drawings open at the time. I often have three or four drawings open so my only workaround is to go through each and save, then close the one I want to close, let the system crash and reopen the other drawings. It does not crash every time but several times a day.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed CS 6 yesterday. My system runs 64 bit Win 7. In Preferences > Interface, as I did in CS 5, I unchecked both Open Documents as Tabs and Enable Floating Document Window. However, unlike CS 5, in CS 6 images 'insist' on positioning themselves in the upper left corner of CS 6 and will cover both the options bar and the tool bar. For example, this will happen after opening an image if I try to move it or if I enlarge the image window (CTRL-0). If I open two images and try to move one so I can see both at the same time, the one I try to move will not stay where I put it but instead will reposition itself to the upper left, and cover the options bar and menu bar.
this makes working in CS 6 difficult and inconvenient. I assume this is a bug, and wonder if there are any workarounds or other solutions. To this point, I have not yet uninstalled and re-installed CS 6.
Just got CS3, thought it was better but no. have 2000 images in folder, literally cannot scroll, and have dual 1.8 G5 with 2Gb of Ram. any tips?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI love GIMP. As soon as I discovered it I quit using photoshop (which was old and a resource hog, and simply too complicated for what I wanted) and have only used gimp for the last few years.
Since installing the New GIMP - which looks fantastic - I've discovered a weird lag. When I zoom in to a large image, say 1204x1204 / or the largest size your big digital camera will put out, and try to pan across the image I get this weird, sliced lagging? And I was just wondering if this was normal with the new GIMP, since I never experienced it that I recall in the old versions, or maybe there's something wrong with my computer? (Drivers maybe? Though I updated them semi-recently)

I open up an old drawing with multiple viewports and half of them have this symbol. So I assume that there is a way to turn it off. Again, trying to make computer faster and not have a graphic symbol in all of my viewports.
After intalling my new mouse (Logitech Corded Mouse M500) scrolling/resizing makes the image disappear in a short time 2-3 minutes. I read about it in older versions, only happens with this mouse.
How can I fix it? I've just brought the mouse, seems very good, the older one is unuseable (lacks accurancy due the cheap IR sensor).

I am using photoshop CS.
I'm running PS CS3 on Mac iBook with 10.5.8
I've been using this setup for years & have always been able to drag out the right bottom corner to increase the grey space round an image so i can transform better or what ever. But now when I try to drag out that corner the image window flinches slightly & a line appears around the image which disapears when I let go.Also when I try to expand the layers palette down by dragging it's lower right cornes so I can see more layers nothing happens, there is no stripey corner marks on that corner & when i try click & try to drag nothing happens.
The first instruction is .. "Make a 10 pixel selection as shown in figure 2 - it needs to be a perfect selection, exactly on the top left corner of the tab". I did that ..
The next instruction is,
"Now select:
Image/Crop
(Need a 10 pixel radius corner.)"
