I upgraded to win 8 64 bit and neither Canon nor Ilford have updated their software but I dont know whether that is causing red/orange to be printed as green.
View 1 RepliesI print using Lr 3.6 and seem to never get on paper what Lr shows on screen. A case in point is that if I print with no (zero) borders specified in the Layout section of the Print module I get a print which is identical to the one I obtain when I set the left and right borders to non-zero values (e.g. 2mm). This is even though Lr's screen does show no borders in the first case and the expected borders in the second case.
View 1 Replies View RelatedStarting this week, when I print my note cards from LR, the greenish line (aproximately 1/8") is added to the top of every photo. It's not noticable if I do draft mode printing. Also, if I print to jpeg file, then print this file outside LR, it's not there. I blamed it on 3.6 upgrade first, rolled back to 3.5, but it haven't solved the problem. I'm on Windows 7 and HP Photosmart Premium C309a printer. I really need to print lots of cards and I cannot!

Addition on 12/17/11 - the line is not noticable on black or any darker color.
In CS3 I am having trouble getting my prints to match the image on my MacBookPro Monitor.Â
AT first the prints were coming out to green, so I calibrated my disply/monitor on my MacBook Pro. It seem to make a slight improvement and I used the Apple calibrating profile. Tricky to use.Â
I made some prints with my Epson 3800 Printer using PS to manage the printing. Still to green. Then I went over the color settings in my Preferances and followed the guide lines i read in my CS3 for Dummies book. I made some prints which came out 2-3 stops darker, but no green. So then I tried making the prints through the Epson profiles and not photoshop and they came out lighter but way to green.Â
The printer settngs in Photoshop are: Photoshop manages color; Adobe RGB printer profile, perceptual rendering intent, black point compensation on, color management set to off.Â
I'm using North American Prepress 2 color setting. I did not have this problem in the past, but I also did not know how often one shold czalibrate their monitor. Should I try reinstalling Photoshop or do I need to download any update drivers or profiles?
I have recently upgraded my system to Vista 64 and PS CS4 from Windows XP and PS CS3. Now when I print my photos have a severe green cast. I have tried turning off CM at the printer, in PS, both and on in each place and both, nothing seems to work. I have DL'd the paper profiles as well, still doesn't work.

Previously I had Lr 5 running on my PC with Windows 7 and I was able to use the same HP printer to print both from the main tray and photo tray. Now I cannot get any photos from Lr printed, while the printer does print a test page ok from Device Manager.

I am printing on an Epson Pro 7800 and I am a Mac user (OS X 10.6.8). I contacted Epson and they suggested printing out of Preview and the images looked far better which, they suggested, points to something in Photoshop that is causing the problem.Â
My prints dont match what i am seeing on the screen when using CS3. I am using windows xp and printing on a epson 7800. I never had this problem before i started using CS3. I have calibrated my monitor.
I have the standard version of CS3 not the extended. I read a arctical that CS3 prints darker then what is on your screen. The solution if you have CS3 extended is to increase lightness just before printing, but what if you dont have the extended version, what do you do?
I use a company batch that allows you to batch run scrips and lisp.
The only problem is that my i send my prints to the printer they all get out of order becasue they are sent as indivisal jobs and people look through them to find where there prints have snuck in.
It has just become to annoying and i was thinking there must be a better way.
I was thinking like a vertual printer that the batcher can send the prints to and then transfer them to the printer you want when they are all there.
I used to use HP photosmart c4480 to print film for own screen printing job. I use coreldraw to print back colour logo and use special photo paper and max dpi to print and got a good printing on back colour.
But after I moved to new factory, the printing change to all green colour. I thought may be the ink problem, then I change the new ink but can't fix it. I try to use the other printer but same.
I use same printer and photoshop to print some photo is OK.
Have just switched from Mac G4 OS 10.4 to IMac G5 OS 10.5.1 printing with Epson Stylus Photo R285. Apart from this change am still using the same Photoshop CS2 and printer set-up.
Now printer is putting green tint in shadow area and Red is printing almost black — see examples.
Have spoken to Epson who reckon I have the right driver and the printer is fine.
Epson suggest Photoshop needs to be Set-up properly.
Not sure what this means exactly — anyone got any ideas?
Computer is Windows 7 x64 running adobe CS6. The printer is a HP laserjet 3800dn the driver for the printer is PCL5 but it does the same thing printing with the Postscript driver. We have a navy blue color that prints out black for some reason. In the print options right before releasing the job we changed the use Illustrator colors to use Post script colors and it still does the same thing....Prints black where blue is supposed to go on the document. Doesn't matter if it is a .jpeg or plain text. Sending the job to a different printer works which is a Xerox work centre.
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I've drawn a 3d model in Autocad 2011 and when I come to print it in either layout or model view I get lines that appear. These lines do not show up in the print preview no do they look like they relate to the model itself, so I can't understand where they are coming from. I have the grid lines turned off and have exhausted everything else I can think of.

I have decided to print some of my digital pictures; how do you crop pictures in Photoshop while keeping the same proportion so they will still work for 4x6 prints. I know how to keep the same proportion when resizing files, just not cropping.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using Corel for printing customized shipping labels and flyers in B & W. I use Arial or Times New Roman ttf fonts for printing labels and texts and print out with a laser printer.  I did not have any problem in the past up to CorelDraw X4.  .  All text came out black with X4.  Recently, i upgraded to Coreldraw X5. When I printed shipping labels and texts with X5 in the same way as I have been doing with X4, the labels came out in faint prints. I could not use shipping labels printed with X5  for mailing out.  I repeated installing X4 and X5.  I see that something is wrong with X5. All labels and simple text prints are faint with X5. On the other hand, printing with X4 came out charcoal dark.  I installed X5 on both home and office computers.  Both gave the idential results. My computer runs Windows 7 professional. Printers are HP (office) or Samsung (home) laser printers. How to make prints darker? I am only concerned B & W print (not color because I did not try color printing yet).Â
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm having issues printing layouts to full colour. I've Exported to PDF and plotted to a printer and the same things keep happening. The Polylines and hatching keep being faded whilst printing. I've checked lineweights, I've turned off everything to do with fading - even layer managers setting fade slide bar is turned off. I've massed with plot styles and still it is happening.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an Imac with Mountain Lion, CS5 and have just replaced my Epson R2400 with an R3000. Now the white background round the image is covered in small cyan and light grey dots. If the image fills the paper, then the margin is affected. But when trying to proof colours I am going through loads of paper as I cannot now print a smaller image on a larger piece of paper, then re-feed the same sheet through with another small image as the paper is now pale blue.

The R2400 was fine for proofing, as the image alone would print and then the printer fed through the remainder of the sheet without printing, leaving the rest of the paper white. I understood from that , that it was most likely a Photoshop issue and some sort of conflict with the Paper profiles. But, I have checked the profiles on my Mac and they are all version 2 profiles. I note that the few profiles that do work without the blue colour do have 'bkpt' in their profiling and that the ones for the paper I actually do use and in fact the majority of the profiles, do not contain 'bkpt'.
I've attached a leaf image. We'd like to "Autumnize" the leaf even more and remove the green from the leaf. I've tried playing with the various options in the Color drop down (Color Balance, Hue Saturation, Colorize, Brightness-Contrast, Threshold, Levels, Curves), but I can't seem to do it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy prints are getting clipped no matter what I try to do. I am losing approximately 1/8" from all sides of the finished print. From what I can tell, the picture is actually printing larger than the specified size.

This is my process:

In the Develop module I am cropping to the desired aspect ratio using LR presets, then going straight to the print module. My printer is an HP Photosmart C4780. In the Print module I set my margins to 0 and cell size to 4in x 6in. The picture on the screeen looks exactly how I want it to print. I go to Page Setup, select my printer, paper size (borderless 4x6) and orientation, click OK. Then to Print Settings, select the HP paper I am using, click borderless, click save. If I click "scale to fit paper size", I still lose approximately 1/16" on each side. Under Image Settings, I deselect zoom to fill. I have tried selecting it but still experience clipping. I have tried moving the margins in by fractions of an inch and I seem to recover some of the image, but its a long trial and error process that I feel I shouldn't have to do.

A 4x6 test print on regular 8.5x11 paper measures 4-1/8" x 6-1/8". The print layout in LR clearly says 4x6.
Does the watermark only used for images to be used for web base or put your watermarks on the actual printout?

I have no interest in saving the template, or the collection separately, since neither has any use without the other. And without saving them as one finished item, I have no way to convert the colour profile of that item. I can see clearly from the appearance of the print preview that the above mentioned colour profile conversion is required.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI print out of Lightroom, monitor and printer calibrated with Colormunki. Soft proof with the paper profile looks fine (whether the manufacturer's or mine).
Print into jpeg file - looks fine..Print to printer with identical profile - colors don't match. It makes a significant difference whether perceptive or relative is chosen in color management, but in both cases colors just don't match. Perceptive - colors look completely different, relative - most colors are good, but deep black shadows for example are dark grey instead of black.

I have profiled my monitor and my printer. I can print from photoshop and prints match my display. When I print out of lightroom, they are not even close. I use the same printer profile and the program manages the color.Â
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have used LR 2 in the past with Windows 98 and an HP Photosmart Pro B9180 shooting with Pentax k10d using DNG files and printing with few or no problems with minimal developing. I am now trying LR 4 with the same printer and camera but with Windows 7 and with little or no changes in developing the prints are very dull and almost black. I have the latest driver updates and am have the printer letting the application manage the color with the correct setting in profile.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to print a sunset with cacti and I get a very very green cast on epson r2000.  I only get it on the printout and not on the screen. I have the print color management for the right paper etc. ICM is on . I have tried epson vivid and epson rgb, same green unuseable cast. Perceptual vs relative doesn't work. I am new to lightroom. Got it mainly for softproofing and raw processing. OS is windows vista 32 bit I do not get this in pse 11.

If I print an image in LR 5 and then export the same image to PS and print it (all settings the same), the PS image is almost spot on. The LR5 image is very bad, being much darker and bluer.
