I'm a new Lightroom user and have just transferred over from Aperture. In Aperture when the original image was offline it was still possible to drag or export the high quality preview jpg out onto the desktop. Is this possible in some way within Lightroom?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI imported some pictures into LIghtroom 5 with the SAME jpg numbers as a prior import. The first import consisted of pictures from Trip 1 folder on my hard drive, the second import was from Trip 2 folder on hard drive. I see the Trip 1 and Trip 2 folders in LIghtroom 5, but am experiencing problems with emailing and exporting pictures, getting messages such as "Missing file" or "Export does not show up. Were there problems with the import?

I recall having this option earlier this year and have exported hundreds of files to PDF. Now it's gone. Same installation of Xara. See the attached screenshot for proof!

When I click the Plugin manager, LR tells med that the plugins are installed and working, but they do not show up in the export dialog. The actual plugin files are stored in the folder C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.2, the program folder.
I'm doing some HDR. Everything is shot raw (CR2, Canon) and processed in LR5. I sync all settings (WB, Lens Correction, etc.) needed. I export full size jpg (I've tried both exporting jpg and tiff) and everytime I do, the first shot of the series has either 1 extra pixel, or missing 1 pixel either on the long axis, or the short. Doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason. Since it is 1 pixel off, Neither CS6 or Photomatix will process all the shots. I've checked all the files, and they're all the same dimension when they start out 4176 x 2783. But after processing, the first pic will be 4176 x 2783 and the next 3 or 4 will be 4175 x 2783, or 4176 x 2784, etc...
Windows 7, i7@3.10, x64, 8GB, 2TB hdd.
I just upgraded to 5.2 and now I do not see the export button on the page when I complete the photo editing, I have to use the menu on top to access the export feature. Is there a switch somewhere to allow this to be turned on and off or was it just removed?

View 3 Replies View Relateddeleting watermarks from Lightroom 4. I had a bunch of watermarks that I had created in LR4 that was a result of trying to redo a previously created watermark (why Adobe don't allow you to overwrite I don't know) but instead of overwriting the currently selected watermark LR4 lets you create a new preset from the changes. These changes build up over time and you sometimes end up with missing or moved files. If these graphic files are missing then you may or may not have ran into my dilema where when you select the watermark to try and delete it, the dialog box just keeps disappearing and nothing you do seem to work. Don't dispear, here is a solution I've discovered that I couldn't find anywhere else.
1. Open LR4 (Not sure if this works with other versions)
2. Select the Print module (this seem to be the fastest, easiest way to access and edit watermarks)
3. Select the check box next to the watermark under the "Page" pane on the right (this will allow you to select and edit the individual watermarks)
4. select the dropdown menu and chose the watermark that you want to edit. The dialog bot will open but beware it will quickly vanish in a couple seconds so here is my solution (at least until Adobe fixes this problem). Grab hold of the dialog box before it closes and hold it for a few seconds, this will delay or stop it from closing instantaneously.
5. Select the dropdown menu within the dialog box and chose delete watermark option, confirm that you want to delete and voila!
I imported 900 RAW images from my desktop into Lightroom, edited them, renamed the filename, and exported them into JPGs. Since I no longer needed the RAW images on my desktop I moved them over to an external hard drive. So now the images are still visible in my Lightroom catalog, but there is no photo to back it up since I moved the original files to the external hard drive. After realizing that I exported the images at 150 dpi instead of 300 dpi I need to re-export the images from lightroon at the proper resolution. But since I moved the originals to the external hard drive there is no photo to back it up in lightroom anymore. So I went to locate the files by clicking on the "?" but since I renamed the file when I exported them, the original filename on the external hard drive is now different from the filename in the catalog. Is the only solution to locate the file one by one? Is there any way I can do them all at once even though the original filename is different from the filename in my lightoom catalog? The original filename is still listed in the metadata, but since the originals are missing it can't change it back.

However, I can't find the rather useful option of showing "copy name or file name" but rather just "copy name" or "file name" on their own. Since I'm using LR3 (Mac), is this a feature available only in LR4 or am I doing something wrong?
when I try to print I get this message "There is one photo in this print job which is missing its source file" I've tried many photos, same message. I've already tried to reinstall (and update to 5.3) Lightroom.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I export my raw or dng file to jpg, the jpg thumbnail (in a standard windows viewer) looks strange, color is pinkish and washed out. However, the full size image looks fine. On the reverse, normal jpgs sent to me or right out of the camera look fine but the full size image in the same standard windows viewer look dark and very contrasty.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just noticed that some of my photos are missing from the library in lightroom, specifically the original versions of photos that have virtual copies edited in photoshop in folders that have since been synchronized. Weird, and very anoying. The files are still there (in wondows explorer) but when I try to re-import them lightroom doesn't see them, only the PS edited copies (.tif files). I told lightroom to allow duplicates and it sees all the photos in the folder except those missing ones. This does not happen to my PS edited virtual copies in folders that have not been synchronized. It is not a matter of stacking, or at least Lightroom does not think the PS copies are stacked at all so I can't unstack them. How to get them back into lightroom (preferably with the accompanying development settings) and also how to avoid this problem in the future.
PS: I import files from my camcorder using a different program because lightroom does not acknowledge that particular video file format. That's why I have to synchronize some folders and not others.
I have, of course, uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times, along with computer reboots each time. It is still trying to find this file. I even attempted to find and replace the file so it could find it, but nothing seems to work.

I have imported photos from CDs and a flash drive and have created a Collection for my portfolio. When I click on what seems like a random grouping of photos in the collection (in the Library Module), I get the error message "file xxxx is offline or missing", even though the image is showing correctly. I am unable to work on any of these images in the Develop Module.

In Lightroom 4.2 the photo looks good, but when I open the exported photo It looks like its to much saturated. When I export the photo as AdobeRGB (1998), strange enough the photo looks for 95% oke.
I'm using a Eizo ColorEdge CG243W monitor in sRGB mode. To ensure that it's not my monitor that's causing the problem, I've watched both photo's (sRGB and aRGB) on a standard monitor on a different computer. The result is the same: to much color in the sRGB file, pretty good colors in the aRGB file.
I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit. My videocard is a MSi Radeon R7850. I'm using Lightroom 4.2 (system info says: [850741]).
I've just bought this system. Before I've used another computer, with the same monitor, were I've tried Lightroom 3.2. I didn't experienced any problems there. Then I also used the monitor in sRGB mode. When I exported to a sRGB file, the photo came out perfect.
How can I export or save a LR4 map as a .png or .jpg file?
