View 1 RepliesBook Module: Export as indd file and management
I would like to request a feature to export a book module as indd file. I like PDF's but .indd is nice also so we are able to to more in depth layouts.
Having Lightoom being able to manage all your pictures and book layouts would be nice, alot of things can be done in one application.
Another Feature: Using Lightoom as book layout management.
Being able to send a page(s) of the book from lightroom into InDesign to do indepth layout and editing, then being able to send it back into lightroom Almost similar to how you can send a photo from LR in Photoshop to do indepth editing and then send it back into lightroom.
This could and will ease the workflow of book management and layout design. So lightroom will not only be able to manage photos, but also indesign and book layouts. [URL]....
I want to Export indesign book file(16 files of 1020 pages) into swf format.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'd like to use the Book Module more for exporting JPEG spreads so I can then upload them to a publisher, like Kiss Wedding Books. I'd rather use LR than InDesign because I like being able to edit the photos right there.
The problem I'm running into is that LR is trimming off pixels on export. So, a 12x12 page at 250ppi is not 3000x3000, but 2968 x 3000.
I have a book created (LR4) and cannot get the pages to export as jpg's. I hit the "export book to jpg" button and nothing happens. I am using a Macbook.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI’m having a problem exporting a Japanese character in my PDF proof of my book. I’m using this character ( 間 ) in a number of different places and it looks fine in the Blurb book layout tool but it’s missing in the PDF when I export. Not only is the character missing but all of the text that follows it in the text box is gone too. Is there some special type of language pack I need to install for Acrobat to export correctlly?
I’m on Windows 7 64 bit. Using LR 4.1 release.
I have made a book in the book module and was really looking forward to send it to Blurb for printing. I push the "Send book to Blurb... " button but nothing happens. I have tried to export to PDF and JPEG aswell, but nothing. I am Connected to internet, I have an account at Blurb but no reaction. Are there any settings I have missed or are there any bugs that prevents me from exporting? Do Blurb ship to Norway or is that the problem?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have created a book in LR and exported it as JPGS and modified a few pages in PS with some graphic embellishments. I now want to change a few layouts in LR and only export those few layouts, not the whole book.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running LR4.1 on Windows 7 64 bit with 5D MK ii raw images and just discovered the Book module 'Export Book to JPEG' produces files that do not have output sharpening applied.
Book = JPEG
Size = Standard Landscape
Cover = Hardcover Image Wrap
JPEG Quality = 90
File Resolution = 300 ppi
Sharpening = (Every setting produces the same results)
Media Type = (Every setting produces the same results)
When selecting 'Book = PDF' the sharpening is very obvious and is applied as expected based on the Sharpening setting:
Glossy Low = least sharpening
Matte High = most sharpening
I have a 66 page book created in the book module..

View 4 Replies View RelatedI saved my book in LR.
It shows up as a collection.
How can I add an image to it?
The folder from where I made the book doesn't show the created book anymore.
I am in the process of making a photobook using Lightroom and discovered when I reached page 240 that I couldn't add any additional pages, much to my surprise. I was surprised because I knew from Blurb's website that the limit for standard paper is 440 pages and mistakenly assumed that this limit would also apply within Lightroom. I did more research online and found many others being surprised by this limitation after spending hours and days on a photo book. I will likely work around this by exporting from Lightroom to .jpg and uploading to Blurb, but that will take extra time and effort and reduces the appeal of using Lightroom to create a Blurb book. I had also tried exporting from Lightroom to .pdf only to find that the .pdf format exported by Lightroom is not compatible with the requirements of Blurb.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to up load a 40 page 12" x 12" photo book to Blurb from the book module in Lightroom 4.2. It renders the pages and then having rendered the cover gets stuck, about 50% to 60% through the process. None of the photographs are starred or colour coded. I have uploaded successfully from this iMac in the last few weeks.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI purchased Lightroom 5 and am creating a photo book through Blurb. I accidently erased 38 pages, so after I re-created them, I clicked on Create Saved Book, which put it in Collections. Now I am trying to work on the book again, and can open it, but when I go to the Library of photos, Lightroom automatically repopulates a new book with all the photos in that file and won't let me put them in the book I saved. How can I get this partially finished book so that I can use it?
View 6 Replies View Related I need to turn this book of files into a pdf for Createspace and the print book dialog in the book panel doesn’t show me the pdf/x-1a 2001 preset. It gives me a default or I can create one myself. The printer selected is Adobe PDF. The file menu only applies to the active, single document, not a book, and while it does list Adobe PDF Presets I cannot apply them to the whole book, only the active, single file.
I found that I can save the preset I need out of the presets dialog but I can’t load it into the print presets to use for outputting the book as a pdf.
My installation was just updated, but still doesn’t show what some videos show should be there.
I copied all the settings from the preset I need but the print dialog doesn't let me create such a preset for a book, and the Export to PDF for a book is for interactive pdf and doesn't allow such presets at all.
I have a 156 page book with graphics, composed of 8 chapter files. If I have to combine all these into one id file to do this, is there a good way to do that without enormous labor? In that other book I created for createspace I didn't have to do that, but I can't figure out how I exported it to pdf/x 1a 2001
why the "custom text" and "start number" is not available anymore on Export?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAnytime I export a Book to PDF it always selects PDF (Interactive)... and I never send a PDF interactive book - they're always for print!

1- How do I move files from one folder to another with LR3?
2- If I export the processed raw file as a DNG will the processing go with the export as DNG file?
When I export my raw or dng file to jpg, the jpg thumbnail (in a standard windows viewer) looks strange, color is pinkish and washed out. However, the full size image looks fine. On the reverse, normal jpgs sent to me or right out of the camera look fine but the full size image in the same standard windows viewer look dark and very contrasty.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I export a photo to a sRGB file, there is way to much color in the photo. In Lightroom 4.2 the photo looks good, but when I open the exported photo It looks like its to much saturated. When I export the photo as AdobeRGB (1998), strange enough the photo looks for 95% oke.
I'm using a Eizo ColorEdge CG243W monitor in sRGB mode. To ensure that it's not my monitor that's causing the problem, I've watched both photo's (sRGB and aRGB) on a standard monitor on a different computer. The result is the same: to much color in the sRGB file, pretty good colors in the aRGB file.
I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit. My videocard is a MSi Radeon R7850. I'm using Lightroom 4.2 (system info says: [850741]).
I've just bought this system. Before I've used another computer, with the same monitor, were I've tried Lightroom 3.2. I didn't experienced any problems there. Then I also used the monitor in sRGB mode. When I exported to a sRGB file, the photo came out perfect.
