View 5 RepliesAs does Export to JPEG and Send Book to Blurb. No dialog box, no error message, no crash. When I click the button with any of the export options, absolutely nothing happens. This is with a 6-page sample spread. I am using the 4.1 trial version on Snow Leopard.

Today I was working on a photoshop file to creat a cover for it (no template allowing me to do what I needed inside of Lightroom), and that was the last step before to send it to print.
I had to navigate into the Library module to send pictures to photoshop. And when I get back to the Book module... it was all reset. No picture, only a 2 pages empty project.
I quited without saving anything, hoping to get the software back to where it was, but it didn't work. It seems I lost all my work.
I'm not familliar with apps that save projects on there own. Where is my book? How can I get it back?
I made a Blurb book with Lightroom 5 saved it (I thought) in Lightroom and as a PDF on my desktop. When I got a print copy back from blurb I want to make edits. When I went to find the book in LR5 there was no sign of it. How can I upload the PDF version on my desktop back into LR5
View 1 Replies View RelatedWith LR 5 & OS 10.9.2, how do I edit and add to a Saved Blurb book?
It seems impossible to add photos after installing Maverick without starting over from scratch.
I have made a book in the book module and was really looking forward to send it to Blurb for printing. I push the "Send book to Blurb... " button but nothing happens. I have tried to export to PDF and JPEG aswell, but nothing. I am Connected to internet, I have an account at Blurb but no reaction. Are there any settings I have missed or are there any bugs that prevents me from exporting? Do Blurb ship to Norway or is that the problem?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am in the process of making a photobook using Lightroom and discovered when I reached page 240 that I couldn't add any additional pages, much to my surprise. I was surprised because I knew from Blurb's website that the limit for standard paper is 440 pages and mistakenly assumed that this limit would also apply within Lightroom. I did more research online and found many others being surprised by this limitation after spending hours and days on a photo book. I will likely work around this by exporting from Lightroom to .jpg and uploading to Blurb, but that will take extra time and effort and reduces the appeal of using Lightroom to create a Blurb book. I had also tried exporting from Lightroom to .pdf only to find that the .pdf format exported by Lightroom is not compatible with the requirements of Blurb.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to up load a 40 page 12" x 12" photo book to Blurb from the book module in Lightroom 4.2. It renders the pages and then having rendered the cover gets stuck, about 50% to 60% through the process. None of the photographs are starred or colour coded. I have uploaded successfully from this iMac in the last few weeks.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'd like to use the Book Module more for exporting JPEG spreads so I can then upload them to a publisher, like Kiss Wedding Books. I'd rather use LR than InDesign because I like being able to edit the photos right there.
The problem I'm running into is that LR is trimming off pixels on export. So, a 12x12 page at 250ppi is not 3000x3000, but 2968 x 3000.
I'm running LR4.1 on Windows 7 64 bit with 5D MK ii raw images and just discovered the Book module 'Export Book to JPEG' produces files that do not have output sharpening applied.
Book = JPEG
Size = Standard Landscape
Cover = Hardcover Image Wrap
JPEG Quality = 90
File Resolution = 300 ppi
Sharpening = (Every setting produces the same results)
Media Type = (Every setting produces the same results)
When selecting 'Book = PDF' the sharpening is very obvious and is applied as expected based on the Sharpening setting:
Glossy Low = least sharpening
Matte High = most sharpening
I'm still having troubles in uploading the books in Lightroom; I use LR 5.2 with Windows 8 64 bit and even if I turn off the firewall and antivirus, it keeps me saying that there is an error in uploading.
I tried also to remove the background and graphic, but with no luck. I would really like to use this feature, but up to now is not workable. PS: I can save it as *.pdf.
I have a 150 page book I am trying to upload from Lightroom to Blurb. It does contain quite a lot of photos (900-ish) and I have tried using a cable as well but to no awail. I am able to download a pdf version.
The process works like this: It starts "rendering" photos which works well. Then it starts "uploading photos" and after a while a pop-up message appears saying that problems have occured and do I want to retry uploading.
I have tried keeping the computer from going to sleep but with the same result.
I just completed and saved a book inLR4 and when I press Send Bpook to Blurb absolutely nothig happens? How do I get all this work to Blurb without losing it?
View 12 Replies View RelatedWhen I print on my Epson R1900, I have to increase the Brightness (+20) in the Print Module on all prints. There is no corresponding option in the Book Module for sending files to Blurb.How can I make the equivalent adjustment for Blurb?
I am assuming that the Blurb profiles are close enough to the Epson profiles (as far as brightness is concerned).
If I have to edit every single image separately, what is the best way to do this? Is Exposure the equivalent of Brightness in LR 4, and is the metric the same (i.e. increasing by +20 in both)?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to upload my photo book to Blurb. I sent the almost identical book two weeks ago without issue. I have since made a few minor changes and now I cannot upload. I've tried 5 times, with and without a Cover Page, and it hangs about mid-way through the upload.
I am running LR 4.4 on Windows 7.
I've just published my first book on Blurb. Looks great but all the pages are offset by one in Blurb when compared to my LR original. So all the pages that are on the left in Lightroom are on the right in the Blurb version. I can easily add another page and re-publish but it un-nerves me when things are inconsistent.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a Blurb book using LR4.2. I'm running into problems laying out the dust jacket. All my pages are full bleed but I don't know the full bleed pixel dimensions are for the dust jacket (standard landscape 10" x 8"). I'm using the layout where one image covers all of the flaps, covers and spine. I would need the pixel height plus the pixel widths for the flaps, covers, and spine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I create a saved book in Lightroom 5 Book Module, the number of photos is listed to the right of the saved name in the Collections list, but there are no photos displayed in the Book itself. If I leave the Book Module and return, there is no change, all I see is the standard startup book template with a few blank pages.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn my lightroom library I have created a collection set called "Wedding". As I have 1000 photos from my wedding, within this Collection Set I have created 10 or more Collections to organise these photos (Ceremony, Reception, First Dance, etc.).
I have created a new 'Book' which as expected, has created a new Collection within my 'Wedding' collection set.
When I first create the book (before saving it) it seems like I can click on a page, then browse my Collections and add the photo that I desire to the page.
After I have saved the book, I can't so this. I want to work on my book later, and use my existing organisation of photos, and add photos to my books from these collections.
I know I am missing something basic (I am new to lightroom). I don't understand why I can't add a photo to my book after I have saved it. Each time I click on one of my other collections, a new unsaved book appears in the main project window.
I have worked out that if I copy all my wedding photos into the new "Book" collection, then my photos are available for use - but this defeats the purpose of organising my photos into separate collections, and it doesn't seem like you can create a sub-collection within the Book project.
I created a book in Lightroom using images in a Collection totalling 105 images. I saved a layout containing 26 images. Now I'd like to add more images to the saved layout.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI prepared a rough draft of a book and saved it with the tab on the right hand top of the main screen. Unfortunately, I saved it with the option of only saving the used images from the original collection. Later I brought up the draft book and tried to add some additional images, but see that only the images already used in the book are available on the image strip at the bottom. I need to get other images which are in the original collection. Is there any way to do this? If not, is there a way to save the entire format of the book and then start over with the same format but with the original full collection as the source of images in the bottom strip?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI started a book the other day, knowing that it was going to be an ongoing project. When I was done working on it, I created the saved book and named it. I have no problems openning up the book from the collections. My issue is now that I saved it, it only shows the images that I used for the book in the film strip.
When I select "ALL PHOTOGRAPHS" in the filmstrip window (while still in my previously saved book), it opens a new unsaved book.
How do I keep my saved book open and get the rest of the images in my library in the filmstrip?
