I have a customer that is trying to export a file out as an STP file. When he brings up the Export or Save As dialog boxes none of the normal model file types are listed. I have had him do a Repair and a Reinstall of INV 2013 which did not fix the problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using a student version of AIP 2012 and am having a problem exporting to .STL file types.
When using a "Standard(mm).ipt" and designing the part in mm, upon export it shrinks the dimensions down.
For example, the width of my sketch is 193mm, upon inspection on a different computer with VCarve Pro and CUT3D were 19mm.
I don't want to dimension the parts as to make the problems in export to the right size because I think that defeats the universal aspects of autodesk.
I am in the process of building new machine and have a pro seat that for some reason is not showing the standard IV Icons.I have already built this machine and authorized all the softwares so I do not want to go through rebuilding to fix something so small.how to make the system show the correct icons for all the IV file types.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using the "Part Number" parameter inside a block of text in my drawing, but when I export it to AutoCAD DXF 2010 format, the text in the exported file shows up as "<PART NUMBER>", instead of displaying the actual part number.

Suddenly when I do a File>Export and try changing the "save as" type to PDF, it's missing from the list of file extensions. I recall having this option earlier this year and have exported hundreds of files to PDF. Now it's gone. Same installation of Xara. See the attached screenshot for proof!

The first import consisted of pictures from Trip 1 folder on my hard drive, the second import was from Trip 2 folder on hard drive. I see the Trip 1 and Trip 2 folders in LIghtroom 5, but am experiencing problems with emailing and exporting pictures, getting messages such as "Missing file" or "Export does not show up. Were there problems with the import?
View 1 Replies View RelatedA couple parts that I moved from one subasy to another in an IAM are not showing in the associated IPN browser at all. Yet they are visible in the edit window & look as if they have tweaks applied. I can click on & highlight them but there is no sign of them in the browser at all.
The parts are definitely in the browser of the IAM file though.

I'm looking for a way to be able to get the latest .ctb files and tool palettes, weekly automatically,almost like task scheduled in inventor, so when the .ctb of palettes gets updated, the users get it automatically,
tried inventor task schedular, by getting the latest folder, but the file types is not supported.
I am trying to import thousands of pictures into Lightroom as I have a mess of pictures do to a long story...But basically I have probably 30,000 pictures in a bunch of folders that I want to import.
One issue I have found is that I don't want to import TIFF, BMP, GIF, or things like PNG. I really only want jpg files or jpeg files unless I stumble across others in another format I haven't found yet.
Can I set something during the import? I have searched the forums and internet, but haven't found anything that mentions this.
How to clean up a mess like this where I have 30,000 pictures but probably only need 10,000 as there are duplicates upon duplicates due to having to move the pictures around in a hurry as I had a mess in my basement during a storm a couple years ago.
Was working on a small project for college yesterday and now when i try to reopen the document a good chunk of the frame i constructed yesterday is missing.
The sketches are still there though the extrusions are missing.
I've got a view of a presentation in a drawing and one of the parts which is in a sub assembly.
I've checked the visibility in the presentation and the drawing and the assembly but all say visible.
Restarted the computer, but still no change.

I have an assembly file I made in Inventor 2011 that I published to DWF. When I view it in Design Review 2013 not all the parts are visible. If I zoom in on the area that they are suppose to be, they magically appear, but can't get a good view of the whole assembly that way. This trick doesn't work for all missing parts. I have tried to hide/unhide the missing parts, but that does nothing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedGot a part from our vendor. When I place this in an idw, some of the lines are missing.
In the model, there are no surfaces. None of the solids failed on the import. No problems appear in the model browser.
First tried turning on Tangent edges in the idw. No joy there.
When I right click on the view in the idw and select "Include All Surfaces", the edges are shown while the view is computing, but after it computes, the edges are gone again. The .step file that was sent to me is 10MB and the ipt is 32MB.

The steel fabricator is asking for a CIS/2 model file to use with their Fabrication/Management software. I have done a search of this forum and found two posts asking about this format (from 2004 & 2009) but neither have any responses.
It does not appear that IV will export this information natively so I am looking for some kind of work-flow to get them this information using AD products. Any resellers out there familiar with a product/translator?

I am trying to have Inventor to automatically export a SAT file when I close the program, I have searched the discussion boards and have not been able to find any post about automatic export in Inventor or Revit.
Goal:
My goal is to have Inventor to automatically export a SAT file in order to have those who are using Revit MEP to always have a updated version of the Inventor Model in their model drawing and vise versa.. This I think would take the human factor out of the equation, WHY?.. well we humans tend to forget about those working around us and are not that good in exporting a updated file every day!

View 2 Replies View Related3ds Max seems to only alow .ies, .cibse and .ltli files as photometric file types - missing out on a huge swath of files - Eulumdat (.ldt) files, a standard used in Europe.
I understand that Autodesk is an American company and .ies is the most common format there, but a good chunk of my work here in the UK uses Eurpoean fixtures and there is a large number of .ldt files floating around.
I have got a conversion programme, I personally use OxyTech's Lightstar 4d, but really it's very irritating to have to manually convert dozens of different .ldt files so I can use them in 3ds Max.
Is there a plug-in/script/something so I can import .ldt easier?
I have a little problem with JPG files. When I’m trying to export .IPT file to JPG file I can’t adjust quality of JPG file. Even if I change pixel quantity up to 1000 quality of picture stays same. Also size of the file is does not change no matter how much pixels I use. How to improve quality?
