On new computer, have serveral Drives: C, E, G (XP drive from old computer for moving stuff over to new system). Installed PE11 on new computer to drive E. Then opened PE11 and did a catalog restore from the network drive. Set restore location to Drive E. Restore said successful, conversion worked OK. Organizer in PE11 shows the pictures and references drive G (my old XP drive that is in my new system). How do I get PE11 to change path to Drive E catalog??

View 7 Replies View RelatedAnytime I insert a CD/Dvd or Flash card or SD card, LR launches itself. It takes a lot of key strokes to turn it back off. I have PS, LR, Elements and other programs, that I might want to use. I want to turn off LR and have it only open when I want to use it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to LR4, I've not figured how to upgrade my catalog to LR4 also - currently it's labelled as 'Lightroom 2 catalog-2.lrcat". I'm slowly working through updating changes to 'render to LR4' but I'm uncertain if this will then automatically turn the catalog to LR4, or if I need to do this separately - and when?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed my upgrade to LR5 last night but it keeps giving me an error when I try to upgrade my LR4 catalog. It goes through the initial steps, stays at "preparing new searchable data" for a long time, then eventually stops and pops up the error message: "Unable to upgrade catalog. Lightroom encountered problems when trying to update the format of the catalog file and cannot use this catalog in this version of Lightroom". I tried upgrading a smaller catalog that I don't use anymore and it worked fine. how I can get this catalog converted? Its my main catalog with all of my current years' images. For the time being LR 4 is working fine but I'd love to get 5 up and running.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded to LR4 from LR3, went through all the steps and created a new LR4 .lcat catalogue, but every time i re-open LR4 I get the prompt to upgrade the catalogue again as below:. I repeated the upgrade but same thing happens each time. Now, I am "choosing a different catlogue" and manually selecting the LR$ catalogue I created, I check the box to open this every time but it wont stick....
The LR4 shortcut wont stay in the Mac dock either...
I am using Mac Lion...
I just built a new PC and re-installed lightroom 2.0. I downloaded the upgrade to 2.7 (which was free) and tried to import my catalogs. My 2010 catalog is fine, but my 2011 catalog says it is "too new for this version of lightroom". I never had version 3 so i dont know why it's saying my catalog is too new.
View 1 Replies View Related I have trial versions of both Photoshop Elements 12 and Lightroom 5.2 (trial licenses are both still active (i.e. not expired)). I'm looking to import my PSE12 catalog into Lightroom before I plunk down the money to buy it.
I cannot, however, locate the "File->Upgrade Photoshop Elements Catalog" option in LR5.
I may have originally installed LR 5 before installing PSE 12. So I uninstalled LR5 and reinstalled it. Still no luck - the option isn't there. Any other ways to force LR5 to look for the PSE 12 catalog? Will LR5 even recognize a PSE12 catalog?
Upgraded to 3.6 today. Published services Publish to Photoshelter (URL...) doesn't work. First I get: Your catalog must be updated before it can be used with the following plug-in:
and then: Could not upgrade your catalog for plug-in metadata. The plugin-specific metadata in this catalog is newer than the what the installed version of this plugin supports. That's a deal-breaker for me, unless there's a way around it.
longtime lightroom user mac 10.7.5 upgraded to 4.4 and now cannot import to designated catalog on external 4TB drive with good permissions on the drive and folders.am able to import to other drives, but not the one I mentioned?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have located a person who bought a CS3 upgrade, not realizing it was an upgrade. He has said the store would not take it back because he had tried to install it. He now wants to sell it so he can use the money to put towards the full version.
If he tried to install the upgrade, is it registered during that process, even if he had to stop at the point Adobe asked for proof of a previous version?
I just /L'd the CS4 Extended and installed. when I try to run it I get the screen that asks if I have a serial or want a trial. I have now tried the serial 8 times (each time getting the green check mark) and tried the trial option as well. As soon as I hit "ok" nothing happens. All of the other programs that came with it, like Bridge, all fire up no problem.Vista Ultimate Sooper Dooper or whatever the top one is, 32 bit4 G RamNVIDIA CardMega ton of disk space.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter install, LR4 tries to build a catalog. The problem is I have terabytes of images. LR uses the ADD EVERYTHING (opt out) mentality and of course fails miserably and after a few hours crashes (probably the 4GB catalog file limit). Anyway - I'd like to instruct LR to only catalog my working folder... not everything I've done for 30 years.
Bridge and CS5 don't seem to have issues like this... but I'd like to learn a bit about LR because some people say there are a few small advantages over CS.
After downloading I got a message that CS6 was installed but don't see it on my desktop and my copy CS5 still says it is "5". What can I do?

View 17 Replies View RelatedI am using CS2, and i really like the extra working space, but after a while working on a drawing, photoshop crashes when i click the color boxes at the bottom of the tools pallette. This has happened 5 times so far. I have never had this problem before when i was using one screen, so i think the multi screen is probably the cause, one way or another.
i have 1 gigabyte of RAM and an Nvidea Gforce graphics card, with the most up to date driver installed.
Are there any settings i need to change in Photoshop? Is there a way i can find out the cause of the crashes in a log file?
Does Photoshop Elements 10 limit the number of styles that can be installed at one time? I can't seem to load in any more than I already have. If so, how to I have access to others? There doesn't seem to be a place where I can load new styles like you can with brushes.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI cleared the temp/cache on my Windows 7 64 bit that has been running CorelDraw Suite 6 since its release. Never an issue. Now, after installing the latest upgrade the program Coreldraw loads just fine and it opened my most current file. After changing a letter in the text box the program crashes. You get a popup window that Coreldraw has closed. I rebooted my machine and it does this each time the program is reloaded.
I went through the common causes of Coreldraw issues and nothing is left to remove or change. Clearly the latest upgrade is flawed and instead of fixing performance issues it has created one that stops the program from working.
I upgraded another computer and the same issue appears after the upgrade. I did a system recovery and now Coreldraw will not open .cdr files into Coreldraw. It now shows a filter error and no file will open.
