Lightroom 4 is regularly crashing when I Export and choose a folder in which to save the files. I'm using Windows 64 bit. Basically, it freezes and I get an error message "Lightroom has stopped working, Windows in looking for a solution" (which it doesn't seem to have found, yet.)

I've reinstalled everything, updated it and fenagled with all the settings but nothing seems to stop it. I am using the latest verton of Mavericks and it only happens when I hit export to media.I also checked adobe media encoder and that gets the same error message and cause.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Corel VS X6 Pro is crashing during a MPEG-4 1920x1080 export at 69% complete. Happened twice in a row. The error message refers to this dump file. I have been able to export this same video before, this just started happening.
I tried to add the dump file as an attachment but the .DMP extension is not allowed.
I'm having a major issue exporting a sequence out of premier pro CS5 that contains high res jpeg images. The system freezes up during the export. I've been successful exporting the sequence to H.264 (vimeo HD preset) after removing the jpeg. So, I am fairly confident it I've isolated the issue. However, I've gone over the recommended jpeg file sizes for premier pro and am well within the guidelines. The images I'm using are saved at a resolution of 300dpi with a size of about 5600 (w) x 3700 (h) pixels for an average of about 61 megapixels per image. The sequence plays just fine within premier pro. There is only a problem when I go to export.

I ran a memory diagnostic test to see if it was the ram, it did not come back as having faulty ram.
Somtimes the pc will just freeze too.
Seems like this only happens with adobe.
I somtimes could export a file after attempting 2-3 times but now it crashes almost every time.
I have tried many different export formats but it seems to not be limited to just one format, it happens with all formats.
I have tried to find a solution but I still have not.

So I have been getting a fatal error "INTERNAL ERROR: !dbobji.cpp@8743: eNotOpenForWrite" when I try to export to 2010 CAD.
I have worked out that it happens when pipes are displayed in the profile view.
I've recently got a new computer, and after installing corel on it, I've found that I am unable to open files with corel, as soon as i press the open button corel crashes, but i am able to open the files when i goto the actual file in my documents and click open in there, and i am unable to save files any way whatsoever (due to crashing isues again) i am also unable to export my artwork to a jpeg, also an immediate crash.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI use a Nikon D800. When I import files from the camera using Nikon Transfer 2, and at the same time try to import files into LR 4.4, LR 4.4 crashes. If I use Bridge to browse files under the same circumstances, it works fine.
I run Windows 8 Pro 64bit. All drivers are upto date as are all software versions. Firmware on the camera is also up to date.
On Import LR 3.5 crashes - no updates recently, was fine?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWin 8.1 64 bit A Toshiba Satellite laptop, LR 5.3. When I try to export I get a window without export buttons at the bottom to do the export. Further if I try to resize the export window the export window disappears and LR freezes requiring to ctrl/alt/del to close it. I cannot export anything to HD or email, etc.
I was in a class last night where everyone had Macs and the buttons appeared on their versions and worked fine. Totally repeatable. I can supply screen shots.
Makes LR totally useless.
I've created various snapshots of a series of photos and I'm ready to export. Is there a way to export all the snapshots at once, in a single export step? Up to now, I've been doing this step by step, exporting one version of the image, than going to the next snapshot and exporting again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently installe LR5 beta and imediately had a problem where it started crashing during cropping. I went back to LR4 & that too started crashing. I bought LR5 & now am trying to sort some shots out but it keeps locking up my mac.
Running on OSX 10.8.4
After getting a bit of a nagging from the in laws I got round to cataloguing the last few months photos to upload the pics of the kids.
When I go to upload to flickr it will publish two images then crash and the cycle repeats - having a few hundreds to upload there is no way on earth I'm going to babysit Lightroom while it does this.
I'm using jFlickr and have the most up to date version - although I was reluctant to mention this as I half suspect my issue will now be shelved using this as a get out - but frankly Adobe's offering is poor and presumes you've just started with Flickr.
The OS is Windows 8.1 64bit - LR 5.3 (same results on 5.1 and 5.2)

I last printed about a week ago. Trying to print now results in an immediate crash. Tried multiple photos from different cameras and different catalogs. Different printers including printing to pdf all crash immediately. Repaired disk permissions. Reinstalled the app. Reinstalled Mountain Lion, uninstalled (to trash, empty trash, shut down and reinstall, no dice).
Can print from MS Word no problem. Photoshop Elements 9 prints photos just fine.
Crashes in a variety of low to mid thirties thread (lowest I have seen is 28, highest is 35) but I have not checked every crash report for the thread number.
And yes, I already did the ui.dll exchange... now it also blacks out randomly when moving around the interface. Not always the same but it will certainly do it after a few clicks... won't continue working with it WAY too risky. Needless to say every other program runs smoothly, for a long time no app crashed in my system... back to LR4... I must say that Win 7 resists very well all this... I haven't had a blue screen in ages...

Once every 10-15 tries it MIGHT work. I'm getting extremely frustrated as it's hard to make a living when your tools won't work.

This was not an issue before I upgraded from 3.4.1. Worse, the scanned images that I edited with the lens corrections panel before upgrading crash the program as soon as I try to bring them into the develop module.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I have a number of watermark presets saved in the Watermark Editor. They are graphical ones that I made in LR3.6. Now in LR4 most of them don't work. They don't show up when I try to apply them on Export, and when I go into the Watermark Editor and try to select the preset the Editor shuts down. I cannot delete the presets, I cannot do anything with them. It just crashes.
I found that I can and have been able to create new presets using the same graphical element in the Watermark Editor. But since I cannot look at the original presets I don't know if they are the same way I set them up originally. So how do I clean this list of presets up? Can it be cleaned up? I don't want to be dealing with a list of more than 20 presets all of the time.
Is there a reason why I can not open the actions panel from the timeline when I have the code panel docked and open in application frame? If I close the code panel I can view the actions panel. Why can't I have both open?

View 3 Replies View RelatedLlightroom 4.4 crashes everytime I try to playback video causing the app to close. The video loads fine, I can see the thumbnail, but when I hit play I hear audio for a few seconds, the video doesn't typically play or plays for only 1 second then the app crashes. Video files play fine in quicktime or Windows media. This happened in 4.3 as well so not related to the upgrade to 4.4. Here is what is logged in the Windows error log.

In my workflow, I rate or tag a photo only after I've made some PP adjustment. So, my workflow would flow better if the "keywording" tab resided in the Development tab as well. Is this possible? Can you add a panel from another tab?
In Lightroom 3, how do I customize the metadata panel, so I can organize the fields however I would like? It is a hassel to have to scroll through all the fields to get to the ones in which I have to import data.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like to know if there is a way to see the names of the brushes used in the History Panel?? All it says is "Add brush stroke" I that if you click on the brushes dots on the photo that you can see which brush is used, but I hate editing with those on, so I turn them off. Which means I have to do several clicks just to see what brushes I have already used. It would be so useful to just be able to see in my history which ones I used especially when you have to stop editing before you are totally finished with the photo and come back to it later.
