Photoshop :: How To Import Image At Original Size
Apr 21, 2013This is a huge problem for me, and it's getting incredibly annoying.
This issue is when I import an image (drag and drop, or other ways as well) into Photoshop and the image appears in a really small size. I need to be extremely percise in all of my projects by the pixel, I can't have it going a single pixel larger or smaller. But when I drag it in, it shows up much smaller and I have to drag the boundries to make it larger. I basically just want to drag a 64x96 image in, and have it actually show up as 64x96, not incredibly smaller.
I don't know the size of a portion on the canvas, because I can't just guess, so it's impossible to actually stretch it to its original size and actually be accurate.

Lightroom :: Deletion Of Photos From Original Folder On Import Catalogue?
Jan 11, 2013I am travelling to the UK and wish to export my photograph collection as a catalogue to my laptop (without the original photos) and work on organising them, deleting unwanted photos, etc and then reimport the catalogue on my return. My question is this - if I delete a photo whilst on my laptop, on reimport into my main computer will lightroom then go and delete this photograph from my original collection as I hope it will do?

Nov 12, 2013And it is totally random. I use a differnt library for every shoot I do (weddings mainly) and sometimes when I edit the image in PS, it comes back fine. But the other times right to the top of the stack in front of the first picture of the day, miles away from the orginal! No ryme or reason. And yes in preferences in external editing I have clicked 'stack with orginal'. this is sucking up alot of my time haiving to reorganizing every picture I take into PS from LR.

Lightroom :: Soft Proofing Alterations Happen On Original As Well As Virtual (Proof) Image
May 15, 2013When soft proofing, I split the image horizontally and then create proof image when asked after making first alteration.However, in both LR4.4 and 5Beta, both the original and virtual (i.e., proofing image) change.
Have l Brightness value of 55 in original. Proofed image is duller. Increase brightness in proof by 10 to match original. (Figures are just for explanation) Now when I compare images again, original image brightness has increased by 10 also. This can be seen, of course, on the Develop panel.
Lightroom :: How To Import An Image
May 24, 2013I just cannot get it. In the Library I can see the desktop, but not all the folders in desktop are not visible. Have tried many triks but cannot fiqure this out. The intro tutorial does not explain this at all in necessary details. Why doen´t the folder tree open like in windows? I am just used to work with the windows way to show the folder tree and that is why this looks a bit starange to me.

Mar 4, 2013This may have a simple solution (and probably does), but I can't find it. What I'm trying to do is to import an AI file into AE 5.5 as original vectors. I need to be able to scale up to about 12,000 percent and then back down to 100 percent for the effect of an extreme closeup being zoomed out. The point of vectors, of course, is that you can do this without losing resolution... but no matter what I try, AI files keep being imported as raster files. When they're scaled up enough, the pixilation starts. There HAS to be a way around this!!!

Jan 14, 2014I use mac OS 10.8.5, LR5.3 and PSCC.
I sent an image from LR5.3 to PSCC (via edit in PS) where I edited it and then saved it, under a new name, back to the same folder in the LR catalog. It does not seem to matter if I save as TIF or as PSD, I get the following message:
I can the choose SYNCHRONIZE FOLDER by R clicking the folder in lightroom and the image is promply displayed in the LR grid.
This is a recent problem. Don't know what I might have changed in preferences for either application.

Jul 25, 2013I noted after importing my images from my disk f(to Lr5) that some floral images were missing.Luckily they were on my backup disk so i moved these floral images from my backup disk to the proper floral folder in my int. disk f. Now how do i import these new images that are located in their particular floral folder which are indeed there.Also how do you set up these new files to do a preview setup. did try to import these new images,but lightroom would not let me do it because it grayed out the images telling me that we noted some duplicate images here. Yes, i did see a few dups of these images in the floral file. If i deleted these dups under its proper folder in disk f shouldn't lr5 let me continue the import?

Oct 16, 2012I've imported images into LR4 from my External HD and and a few the files are corrupted. I realize that LR is not suppose to do anything to the files on the disk when importing... but I've checked the RAW images from back-ups and they are not corrupted prior to import into LR. AFTER import into LR the actual file (on the external HD) IS corrupted in both LR and then on the External HD.
My workflow has been to copy files from my CF Card to the External HD (Western Digital 3 TB) ino the appropriate file then go to LR4 and import.I replaced the Card Reader..same problem occurs. I've checked numerous RAW files in Bridge none are shown as corrupted (prior to LR4 import)

Jul 19, 2011I have PDF map created with latest PDF Creator. Originally it was made with GIS software Geo Media Professional (v6). Document looks good while previewing with Reader. When importing to Photoshop CS5 - looks good to (but raster). But when I'm trying to import it to CorelDrawX5 strange things happens:
Import takes a lot of time After hitting [Enter] file (group name.pdf) origin is about 5000mm;6400mm (width 45720mm, height 45720mm) - so it is definitely far from any page and much much bigger than original - in this case original was 2500mm width and 1067mm height landscape prepared to print on HP DesignJet 800PS 42'' roll hitting F4 - max range warning appears. I was trying to move group somewhere in visible work area using X,Y - strange results - negative position appears after hitting Enter
In CorelDRAW X4 I didn't get such "feature". There is no additional font embedded in document (ARIAL, HELVETICA).

Apr 4, 2013I'm unable to import raw image files from 5DMKII after upgrading to LR 4.4. Using an iMac OS 10.6.8. No error message, importing just stops after a few files have been imported. First it imported 2 files, then 9, then 11, before it stalls. No error message or pinwheel icon. I tried re-installing 4.4 twice with no change. My laptop, a Macbook Pro same system, running LR 4.3 can successfully import the same files using the same card reader and cable.

Jan 14, 2013I'm very new to Civil 3D.I've been given original topography in a .dwg file and a .csv file of the same topography after some dirt work.My problem is when I import the .csv file the points don't overlay the original topography.
What I have done is added the .csv points to the original topography .dwg with the "Points From File" option.

My LR 5 is as slow as a snail generating those previews.
Importing my RAWs form the EOS 6D (saved on a 95MB/s 32 BG SanDisk Extreme Pro) it renders only the 12 or 24 displayed previews and leaves out the rest (the next only when I'm scrolling down). For 12 images LR5 needs 8-10 seconds. LR4.4 does the same process for all 150 RAWs in 1-2 seconds.
It doesn't matter if I want to import to my workstation (Dell Precision T1650, 8core Intel Xeon E3-1240 V2, 16GB RAM, 64bit) via USB 3.0 (Reader & Port) or to my laptop (Dell Latitude E6400). So it must be LR, not my hardware.
Are there known issues with the Canon-RAW format? I just updated EOS firmware to 1.1.3, but the renderspeed stays the same. For 1 image 3-4 seconds single...

Nov 5, 2012In the past I have almost always used Nikon's Capture NX2 as my RAW editor. In that, it's immediately obvious how to get back to the original NEF camera image, or even choose to go back to different stages in the editing history.
There seems no obvious way to do this in ACR. For example I made a mistake in a RAW edit, but when I reopened the RAW image again from Bridge I got the edited version with the unwanted error., I would like ACR to do what Nikon Capture can do.
I have also just found that, when trying to assign a keyword to this file in Bridge, I got got an "...error writing metadata" message. All the other NEF files in that folder (none of which have yet been edited in ACR) accepted the keywords with no problems.
Since writing the above, I have found that this "error writing metadata" is a common issue for which there seems no solution - it extends back to earlier versions of Bridge (I have CS6 64-bit with vety latest updates).
Photoshop :: CS3 / Separating Duplicate And Original Image?

By going from full to partial screen I could then identify both original and duplicates and could pull them into adjacent positions. In CS6 that doesn't work How do I separate my two images and place them next to each other?
