View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot figure out why Lightroom keeps opening by itself. I thought it had to do with the backup software I installed that was syncing my files. But I uninstalled that software. It opens to the import dialog window. If Lightroom is already open, it will maximize that window and beep.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have installed Lightroom 5 via Adobe Cloud; I also have Lightroom 4 installed. When I plug my camera into my mac, Lightroom 4 continues to open, even if I have Lightroom 5 already open. I have already deselected any options in prefs in v4 that might be making this happen. Short of uninstalling v4, is there any way to stop v4 from opening?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to edit a photo in Photoshop CC from Lightroom 5, it opens Photoshop from my backup hard drive and I get this message: "The application has been moved, and its path has changed. To update the product configuration, click Update." This slows down the process. How can I edit the path so that Photoshop opens from my main hard drive?
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing Lightroom 3.5. It seems to me in the past that my images would import and the 2010 process would be applied automatically. However, no matter what I do, I'm getting to the "!" on my new imports. But I guess I have forgotten what to do to force Lightroom to default to the 2010 process.
View 4 Replies View RelatedEverything has worked perfectly until today. Yesterday evening, I received an update notice from Adobe for an update called Adobe CSXS INfrastructure CS6 and I agreed to let install. It installed.
That seems to be where the problem started. Now, when I send an image from LR to Photoshop, it does not open. The "Edit in" command isn't working. PS opens, but the image does not appear.
I just downloaded and reinstalled PS CS6. I then asked PS CS6 to update, which it did. When finished, there was an error saying that Adobe CSXS INfrastructure CS6 could not install. Error code: U44M1P7
The good news is that now it all works again! So, the problem lies in the Infrastructure update, which I will not allow to update again.
Windows 7, 64 bit
Photoshop CS6, all updates
Lightroom 4.1, all updates
Have downloaded L/R5 and am attempting to import for the first time. Source is "EOS_DIGIGTAL" SD card from Canon EOS. All pictures are on the card. When selecting "Import", a new window opens which is a "Copy as DNG" which, during reading all tutorials, is never mentioned. I would like to just import directly from the source card to Macintosh HD. Also, "NO PHOTOS" shows as well.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Canon S100 which is one of the 6 new cameras added to LR. My existing LR would not open the CR2 file. This 3.6 RC opens it but does not list it as one of the canon cameras it profiles. How about the other 5 cameras? I don't have any of them so I can't comment. Only on the S100.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhenever I open photos from Lightroom (that already have lightroom adjustments) edit in Photoshop CC only opens Photoshop but does not open the image.
If I open Images with "Edit in Photoshop" that DO NOT HAVE Adjustments, the image will open up in Photoshop correctly. I just came from Windows to Mac.
I work with the option "Automatically write changes into XMP" enabled.
Which data are registered inside the XMP files and which are registered inside le .lrcat file?
I recently imported about 1500 photos to light-room, and when I click on a photo, it comes up more saturated than the image I took. And it's automatic to all images.
View 10 Replies View RelatedFor pictures taken in low light, I manually edit noise reduction levels.
Is there any plugin that reduces noise automatically (or semi-automatically)?
Long time ago, I used a separate tool that automatically reduces noises, but I'm wondering why LR still doesn't provide this feature.
I have a weird behavior of Lightroom today on one particular image.I have this image of a train (portait) that I want to crop to landscape so I press R, do my crop, validate with Enter.I continue to the next image. When I come back to my train image, Lightroom automatically crop it in portrait.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been told that LR5 automatically corrects blown out highlights upon import, even with raw. Also, I was told that LR5 adds contrast to the file upon import, even with raw. The person that said this corrects for this by decreasing exposure by 2 steps and decreasing contrast by -33.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am organizing photo's of patients in a lightroom catalog. Each patient has a folder with his ID number. These are organised in the catalog according to the pathology. I can import photo's of the same patient after one year and I would like them to go easily in the same folder, with his ID number. Because the catalog with subfolders is large, it can be hard to find that folder. Is there an easy, 'automatic' way to find it, and to put the new photo's straight in this folder?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI use Lightroom 5.2 and Photoshop CC. I also use a number of publish services. If I use Lightroom to edit a photo that has previously been published, it will be marked automatically for republishing. If I use Photoshop to edit a photo that has been previously published (in this case a .PSD) and I select Edit Original to preserve layers in the file, Lightroom does not seem to recognize that the photo has been edited externally, and does not automatically tag the photo for republishing. It happens this wal with all of the installed publish services.
Is this normal behavior, or have I inadvertently changed a Lightroom setting that prevents this from happening the way it should? It's quite annoying, and I have convinced myself that previously it did not operate this way.
Import window does not open automatically as it did in LR3?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI did a quick screen capture, and as you can see, the picture on the right (saturated) is the "unedited" version in lightroom, and the picture on the left is the raw file opened (used IrfanView). As you can see, my original file is quite flat, and I like it that way (easeier to edit), but lightroom imports it, and when I click on it to develop, it adds saturation. If I wanted to make it look like the origianl, I have to manually bring down the saturation by ~ -30! Why is Lightroom auto adjusting my images?
I used a Canon 6D to take this picture.
In Lightroom 2, 3, if I exported a file, I had to physically toggled/click on the watermark (well, in 2, there wasn't the option).
I just downloaded 4 and started working with it. I exported a file, uploaded it to my print lab and lightroom4 automatically placed a logo phrase. I did not enter this. This isn't a good option to automatically have this box clicked!
I am playing with the book module and I love it. Hwever, I wonder whether there is a possibility to automatically create captions that show the date of the creation of a picture. More generally any subset of the Exif data would be welcome. This is possible for slideshows, but I could not figure out how to do this with book pages.
Is there a way to automatically insert page numbers?
