When I go to edit a photo in Photoshop CC from Lightroom 5, it opens Photoshop from my backup hard drive and I get this message: "The application has been moved, and its path has changed. To update the product configuration, click Update." This slows down the process. How can I edit the path so that Photoshop opens from my main hard drive?
View 3 RepliesHave downloaded L/R5 and am attempting to import for the first time. Source is "EOS_DIGIGTAL" SD card from Canon EOS. All pictures are on the card. When selecting "Import", a new window opens which is a "Copy as DNG" which, during reading all tutorials, is never mentioned. I would like to just import directly from the source card to Macintosh HD. Also, "NO PHOTOS" shows as well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have one user (user 1) who will work on a drawing and while they have it open, another user (user 2) opens the same file and they are prompted it is in use and they can open a read-only copy. Once user 2 opens the read-only copy, user 1 can no longer save their drawing until user 1 closes the read-only copy.
User 1 gets the following error when trying to save:
"Unable to save to drawing X:folderpathfilename.dwg as it is being accessed by another session. Drawing saved to X:folderpathfilename.tmp"
This does not happen everytime either.
Whenever I open photos from Lightroom (that already have lightroom adjustments) edit in Photoshop CC only opens Photoshop but does not open the image.
If I open Images with "Edit in Photoshop" that DO NOT HAVE Adjustments, the image will open up in Photoshop correctly. I just came from Windows to Mac.
I cannot figure out why Lightroom keeps opening by itself. I thought it had to do with the backup software I installed that was syncing my files. But I uninstalled that software. It opens to the import dialog window. If Lightroom is already open, it will maximize that window and beep.

When I plug my camera into my mac, Lightroom 4 continues to open, even if I have Lightroom 5 already open. I have already deselected any options in prefs in v4 that might be making this happen. View 4 Replies View RelatedEverything has worked perfectly until today. Yesterday evening, I received an update notice from Adobe for an update called Adobe CSXS INfrastructure CS6 and I agreed to let install. It installed.
That seems to be where the problem started. Now, when I send an image from LR to Photoshop, it does not open. The "Edit in" command isn't working. PS opens, but the image does not appear.
I just downloaded and reinstalled PS CS6. I then asked PS CS6 to update, which it did. When finished, there was an error saying that Adobe CSXS INfrastructure CS6 could not install. Error code: U44M1P7
The good news is that now it all works again! So, the problem lies in the Infrastructure update, which I will not allow to update again.

This 3.6 RC opens it but does not list it as one of the canon cameras it profiles. How about the other 5 cameras? I don't have any of them so I can't comment. Only on the S100.

When I export a file from Lightroom 4 to Photoshop Elements 11 to edit. I make my edits, then click "Save." For some reason it opens the "Save-As" dialog box. How can I fix this so that I only click "Save" and then let the file return to Lightroom?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI transfer my adjustments from lightroom to photoshop for additional editing. The adjustments show in the new Photoshop file. However, when I make a selection from that file and copy and paste it into a different Ps file, it does not show the adjustments. I even tryed saving the adjusted photoshop file as a jpeg and then opening it up and reselecting what I want.....Copy and paste it.....and the adjustments still don't appear on the different Ps file/photo. How can I keep the adjustments made in lightroom as a selection to copy and paste to a new file?

1st remains unedited,
2nd is edited only as far as concerning the image > adjustments menu through changing mostly channel mixer, selective color, saturation etc values and had an object attached to it atop of the original depiction before being edited as a whole.
What I want to do is to edit the 1st image, compare in some certain ways the colors of it I guess with the ones of the 2nd, match for instance where color hex value X (and horizontal/vertical X,Y coords - is it needed in order to be more precise and avoid mistakes?) (I guess again) from the 1st image is edited into color (or even additional settings atop of that?) hex value Z, do that automatically for all the combinations and immediately apply the same changes I applied from 2nd pic when unedited (and looked exactly like 1st pic) to the very same 2nd pic in start, TO the 1st pic in the present case. Also in order to do this "color matching" before applied or not I need to set out-seperate the area where I have added an additional object in the 2nd picture and fill it possibly with the original content from the 1st(can it be done in one move) in order for the process to be complete?
That means I turned the 2nd image into a combination of blue-green-red colour (and other) from orange-yellow-cyan (just an example) I want to do the very same to my 1st pic which is orange-yellow-cyan etc.
I'm upgrading to a Zenbook which has no optical drive so I won't be able to install PS via the disk that I purchased a couple years ago. Would the key from my hard copy work with a downloaded copy of PS?

When exporting an image into the External Editor for Nik Color Efex Pro I get the Warning Dialogue (cool) but when I click the tab (to read more) "Copy File Options", it keeps reverting to sRGB as opposed to "ProPhoto RGB" (my desired Space) and something I keep resetting in Preferences> External Editors>Nik... Why???
I'm hoping this will serve as a warning to other professionals to click that tab tpo make sure you are working in "ProPhoto" if that is what you desire. Because once the information is gone, well.....
I repeat that this was not a problem with LR4 and I was having NO problems with my External Editors. So from my computer, my standpoint, a bug has been Introduced.
Using Lightroom 5 I made several changes to a photo. One of the first changes I made was to crop. I now find I cropped too much. Is there a way to copy or save the several correct changes and redo the crop? Is there a way to start a new copy of the photo with some of the changes from the first copy?

View 7 Replies View RelatedFrom LR4 on my desktop PC, I used to be able to select File->Import From Another Catalog..., navigate to a catalog on a networked laptop, select which photos/dates I want to import, then choose to Copy Photos to a New Location and Import. This would both copy the photos over the network to my desktop, and add the photos to my desktop LR catalog - in one step. Always worked great for me for getting travel laptop photos back into my main desktop & LR catalog.
Both desktop and laptop recently upgraded to LR5. But now when I try this same procedure - the "Import From Another Catalog..." dialog no longer has the option to Copy Photos to a New Location and Import. The only options are Add New Photos To Catalog Without Moving and Don't Import New Photos.
Of course I can work around this by doing it with 2-3 extra steps: I can import over the network like above, but choose Add New Photos to Catalog Without Moving and then later copy the files & find the missing photos. Or export to a separate catalog & copy everything, etc.
So what happend to the Copy Photos to a New Location and Import option in LR5? Was this option removed explicitly? Or is there something else I'm missing (file path permissions, etc) that would cause the option to not be shown?

I see other people with similar problems and there have been no answers for that either.I am running windows 7, 64 bit i7 3.50ghz computer with 32 gigs ram, and a radeon 7850 graphics card... I have a wacom intuos three. all drivers have been updated Saturday and problems still persist.
LR4.2 crashes intermittently on first opening. I have posted the crash on two other threads but nobody has replied.
