I have a small sublimation business whereby I print photo's onto small personalised gifts such as mugs, phone covers fridge magnets. I print out the images to fit the size of the gift i.e. a phone cover or mug the images are a specific size. Â Often I want to print multiple items onto one page each with a customised size as the paper is expensive and I need to make the most of every sheet. I can't figure out how to do this in photoshop elements 12. I am using windows XP
I have a number of microscope images of the same subject that were taken under three different conditions. I'd like to use clipping masks to crop the images in the same way (the same size but also the same positions relative to the corners/sides of the images. In case that was incoherent, I made an image to try to explain what I'm trying to achieve (the same portion of each image for each set):
Is there a way to have multiple vertices selected at multiple positions (heights) in the z axis and enter a value of 0 and have all of them jump to 0 in the z axis? Seems like a no brainer to me, but can find a way to do it.
I have multiple icons placed in a document, from several different sources (all are vector objects) -- see the included image. They vary in size and what I would like to do is find a less onerous method of resizing all the heights to a specific size, while scaling the width proportionately. I have found several scripts that come close to a solution (see links below), but none that allow me to input a height (or width) in inches and have all the objects resize to that height proportionately. Â Change Width to the Width of the narrowest object --> Script01 Change Height to the Height of the shortest object -->Â Script02 Change Multiple Attributes (JohnWundes) --> Script03 Â icon image (couldn't place via Adobe Forum) --> click
Is there a way to resize multiple items of different sizes all at once? Say I have five boxes measuring 1", 2", 3", 4" and 5" but i want them all to measure 6", is there a way to resize them all at once? Â Mac OS X 10.7.5 Illustrator 16.0.0
How can I get width that multiple selected items? (Not grouped.) Â //---------- source code ---------- Â var mm = 2.83464566929134 //unit conversion. (point->milimeter) var W = docRef.selection[0].width/mm; alert(W);Â //---------- source code ----------
I have script where I select items on multiple artboard but I can't seem to get get active art board of the selected item. Is this possible?  each artboard has a text item and I would like them in the same position on each of their own artboards that they are already one. right now it adjusts them all to one artboard. here is what I have so far  doc = app.activeDocument; for(i = 0; i < selection.length; i++){    var firstItemPosition = doc.selection[0].position;    doc.selection[i].position = firstItemPosition;    var activeArtboardIndex = doc.artboards.getActiveArtboardIndex();    alert(activeArtboardIndex); }
I'm using 3ds (mental ray) for architectural visualization. I normally have different cameras for exterior and interior renders in one model. Each scene should have its own specific lightning and shadow settings (intensity, shadow position, etc)
Is it possible to have multiple sun positions in the same model which would be connected to each camera?
If not, what would be the best way to achieve various lightning settings? I would like to avoid having one file for each camera position.
Is it possible to set specific a combination of size (in pxls) and dpi? (in Illustrator CS5)  I need to create a .png document which is 16x16 px and 96dpi.  The ability to chose the dpi size when setting up a new doc is very limited.   The only thing I've managed to do is create a 19x19 px 72dpi image, export it "for web" and then take it into photoshop and change the dpi to 96.  Is there a better, easier way?   Also, we're considering upgrading to CS6 - are these features better in CS6?
Im working for a geological firm that use timescales to describe their work (depths at times etc). I need to compress the time bar but not alter the text but cant find way to do it. Im only scaling in 1 direction.
i've some trouble with a specific document. I could not align any rectangle or define a specific size. For exemple, i choose 600px x600 px in the top "menu" bar, illustrator change the values by 599,641 px
It's the same in inch, mm..etc.. The second thing it's if i choose a specific coordinate to place the rectangle , it's change by illustrator.
I have not the problem on other document.
It's a 21 cm 21cm @ 300 dpi, proprotions 1
No grid activited or anything else to force the magnetism
I have an image received from a client in .eps format. I need to get it into either a .gif or .jpg format AND the final file MUST be .8 inches x .3 inces, AND no more than 10K in size.  How can I save it with these dimensions/constraints and not lose resolution? What I have tried - export to .jpg (file is 5 inches x 3 inches), export and change resolution to 100ppi (image is nearly the right dimensions, but blurry). The tools I have are AI and PS both version CS5
I have a document with alot of artboards. I realized the first artboard started in the middle of the pasteboard so I've run out of room at the bottom. I'd like to move all of my artboards at the same time to the top of the pasteboard.
Scale Stroke and Effects Option Odd Behaviours. If multiple objects selected and they're scaled in only one dimension, Illustrator assumes this to be a scale in 2 dimensions.  Is there a work around for this?
I want to be able to turn off the "show tangent edges" option in a drawing I'm creating. The problem is that it looks fine for some items and bad for others. Is this an all or nothing command?
I have added some pictures too the timeline(slideshow) and i want too add some pictures between items on the timeline. i would like to move items too the right side, including music, text that is already placed underneath the pictures.
With adobe premiere this is really simple, i have watched about 100 clips at you tube but can't find it. I have tried using the CTRL key but than i need to select each item seperate...way to much work to select hundreds of items.
I use and action to print, save, save to desktop as PDF(using custom preset), close.New acocunt I am working on requests 2 printouts, but cannot record that in the action. If I can edit my actions. Am inexpereinced with this code but my guess is this is the area: Â /event-1 { /internalName (ai11_print_plugin) /localizedName [ 5 5072696e74

Not as important but also looking to change page size to tabloid and scale to fit in action.
I am new at using Adobe Illustrator and I am having a problem when I try and open an AutoCAD file (.dwg).  The file does not open to the right size, full scale. And some of the radius do not open as radius but as angles.
I am trying to move a component within a part drawing, not an assembly. When I do "move bodies" it wants to move every extrusion within my drawing. If I click move face, then I have to click every face that I want to move (which is time consuming) and then it often times doesn't work? Sometime it works other times it just moves the origin indicator and doesn't move the faces I have selected.
I need to move areas of an image that I have selected using the unit of points. For example, I get corrections in our copy where I need to move certain parts of the image 8 points up or over 3 points.
I can use the measurement tool to meausure the distance but then it disappears when I try to actually move the selection. The same thing happens when I try to use guides to mark the area. I wish I could just set Photoshop to "nudge" in points instead of pixels. Is there any way to make this easier? (Photoshop CS4 version 11)
way to position content in photoshop as you would in say flash by plugging in specific pixel information? say i have a rectangular selection and I want to move it exactly 535 pixels to the right. or move all the layers content 75 pixels to the left.
I have been using Corel for over 20 years, and have never needed support. Â I do most of my work editing nodes within a drawing for creating continuous line patterns that are repeatable. Â
For years I have simple "nudged" the first and last point of a complex curve to the appropriate position. Â Now I want to simplify that by entering in the coordinates for the node. Â
I have tried Object Coordinates, but it appears to do nothing after I change the node location, or radically change my design. Â There is no documentation for it. I have searched Customize for some sort of input field to add to the toolbar with no luck.
I always have to add the information on the coordinates of the selected note to the Status Bar, so I am surprised that I can't find an option for editing the position.
Any way to automatically fill a blank document with placed items making it multiple up? Â A simple example would be a business card that I designed in InDesign. I have the margins, document size and bleed edges set, I would like to place them multiple up on various sizes to see what size would hold the most to trim. 8up typically go on a letter sized document etc. But now many could I fit on 12"x18", etc. Â What I am trying to accomplish not having to align each one manually which is slowing my work flow down. Plus when customers have odd sized documents they want cut and padded etc, having the abilitiy for the software to automatically place items that are all alligned by their trim edges would save a lot of proofing and re laying items out. Â The idea comes from my Silouette Cameo personal cutting plotter. The software lets you fill the cut area with a design and it is filled equally. Â There has to be a way commercial users can do this with out figuring all the math?
I am trying to scale a 3D object in the XY plane only, however the gizmo only lets me scale uniformly on all planes. I am trying to shrink the diameter of the cylinder without changing its height. The Set Constraint option (via RMC on the gizmo) only allows for XYZ, all other planes and axes are grayed out and not available.Â
how to scale a single face of a 3D object, such as the top of this cylinder? Say, if I wanted to scale the top to make it more conical, for example.
This is for CS4. I want to apply two arrowheads of different sizes to one end and the other end of a line. This is not possible with CS4 under "Add Arrowhead" where the size of the arrowhead (Scale) applies to both the Start and End arrowheads.Illustrator allows to apply several instances of an effect to an object. So I apply one instance of "Add Arrowheads" for the Start end with a given arrowhead Scale (size of arrowhead), and another instance of "Add Arrowheads" for the other End with a different Scale. The second "Add Arrowheads" instance of the effect does not behave at all as expected (it adds two "disfigured" arrowheads even though I ask for one arrowhead only). How can I use two working instances of "Add Arrowheads" to reach my goal?
Modifying the point size/text size assigned at particular annotation scale,
I’m wondering how the point size/text size assigned at particular annotation scale can be modified.
For example, in the attached screenshot, the point size assigned at the annotation scale of 1/1000 is big and I wanted to make it a bit smaller at that scale.
