Premiere Pro :: Export Media - Video Quality Is Poor?

1) Importing 1920 x 1440 GoPro footage, .mp4, 29.97 fps : What sequence settings do I need for this media? I can't find any presets that match it. So I just pick a 1440 x 1080 sequence. What should I be doing?
2) Exporting Media quality is very poor and pixelated. I am just importing a video into a sequence and exporting about 10 seconds at a time with different export settings: H.264/Match Source, Quicktime, H.264-Blu ray with different presets. And I'm checking "USe max render quality". Every time it renders very pixelated.
Photoshop :: PDF In CS6 Blurry At Maximum Quality Setting
Mar 14, 2013I just tried to create Pdf.
I used high quality jpegs and chose a 100% quality setting and at 300 dpi.
I also chose the same pixel dimensions as the original documents.
But the outcome is blurry - as if the original had been highly compressed. The sum of the sizes of all files is about 40% larger than the final pdf file.
How can I get rid of this compression and create a pdf document whose pages are as sharp and high quality as the original?

Jun 15, 2012When I export a Web JPG from GIMP and it offers me a sliding Quality barthat goes 0 - 100. I want to know if that's an equivalent to the similar JPG quality setting in Photoshop? The reason I'm asking is that my research on Photoshop indicated that JPG output quality settings above 75 were"theoretical." In other words, there might be measurable improvements inJPG quality past 75, but they will be imperceptible by the human eye. If the Quality settings are basically the same in both pieces of software?

Nov 18, 2011I would like to modify the Quality setting shown in the "Shaded viewport options" section of the plot dialog box (see attachment). The default appears to be Normal, and the options are Draft, Preview, Normal, Presentation, Maximum, and Custom. I want to use Maximum for 11x17 PDF files but I have 1000's. I can't open each file and change the setting, and then Apply to Layout. I'd also like to know what "Custom" means, but I will settle for maximum for now.
Is this option available under PlotSettings somewhere?

In the Develop Module under Lens Corrections, the CA option is no longer present. It was there in the previous RC. In the Sync Settings, it is a still a selectable option.

Premiere Pro :: Media Offline When Exporting But Media Online In PP?
Feb 13, 2014where when I try to export my video, I get a pop up window saying 'some media is offline, it will be rendered using the red media offline graphic'. in Premier pro all my media seems to be online, I have followed several different video tutorials on how to re-link media and the option to re-link media is greyed out for me as there is no media that is unlinked, so why does this message come up when trying to export? Playback in PP is fine, all media appears to be online.
Having viewed the exported video it seems that all the media which has been replaced by the red 'media offline' logo is all the .MTS files filmed on my Camcorder whereas all the GoPro footage is showing up correctly in the exported video.

GIMP :: How To Maintain High Quality (original Quality) Of Image After Resizing It
Jun 23, 2012My problem is related with the quality of a image.
My question is how to maintain high quality (original quality) of a image after resizing it?
If i resize it with same ratio like:
2816x2112px to 1600x1200px (4:3)
2816x1584px to 1920x1080px (16:9)
Mainly i use scale image option in Gimp. But now i need to resize many images for my work so i tried David's Batch Processor to resize my images. After using it, i found there is some quality promble with the resized image.
Then i tried, the scale option with, use quality setting from original image and JPEG quality parameter is 95, in gimp but the problem is same. I did it with also with David's batch processor- JPEG quality parameter is 95.
Other thing is that, the original image 2816x2112px (4:3), size- 3.6 MB is displaying in image viewer with 47% and the resized image 1600x1200px (4:3). size- 1.2 MB is displaying in image viewer with 83%, So my questions are: How can i check the quality of a image after resizing it, means the image is exactly same as the original? Or Is David's Batch Processor maintain the original quality of the images after resizing?. I realy need to resize many images for my work.

Nov 21, 2013I've added a picture which I created in Photoshop to my Ai file. When I place it in the image and then scale it down, the quality of the image decreases dramatically, The text in the iphone looks terrible. Any thoughts on what I may be doing wrong? I'm new to Ai, but profiecient with PSD so I used another person's Ai file as a template and their's looks great.

So I obtain my pdf with a beautiful image but a bad quality for one part of my text.
Illustrator :: RGB Poor Quality Compared To CMYK
Feb 27, 2014I have a vector map which was brought from iStock and changed the color on it. The edited version is in CMYK format and I need both a CMYK version for print and RGB for screen.
The map needs to be used in PowerPoint and I have tried to zoom in quite far onto a specific country. I found that when zooming the CMYK map was absolutely fine, but I needed to use the RGB version. When I inserted the RGB the quality was significantly poorer than the CMYK one (see maps below) and I can't work out why!
Unfortunately, the map needs to be in jpeg or png format for PowerPoint, as it won't support EPS's or PDF's. I converted the map to png, which was slightly better but still not as good as the CMYK version.
Both the RGB and CMYK maps are exactly the same size (document size, file size, dpi etc). I changed the colour profile when converting to RGB (File -> Document Colour Modes -> RGB), when exporting it to JPEG I ensured that RGB was selected. I just cannot work out why the CMYK is perfect and RGB isn't and I've never had this issue before!

Nov 30, 2008I'm pretty new to photoshop, and I've started on a personal project. I want to basically take a video still from a music video and turn it into a poster. Sadly i can not find a good quality version of the video as it is older and not super famous, (kyuss-one inch man). So i found an online video that is better then youtube but not great, and i captured it through the vista snipping tool (screen capture).
Basically I want to take this low quality picture, and turn it into a good quality poster (not huge). What techniques and things must I do? I'll probably have to find a printer near here and require a specific dpi as well.

Oct 19, 2012I have simple line drawings in illustrator (outlines of clothes) that I wish to open in photoshop to add colour and effects to. When i have tried to copy and paste (as normal paste, smart object, pixels, path and shape layer) the quality is lost.
I have also tried to open or place the file in photoshop as a .psd, .ai , .pfd and still the quality is lost.I have saved with different resolution settings too, but it always loses quality when it is opened in photoshop.
Is there any way to have a clear line drawing like it is in illustrator in photoshop?

Dec 19, 2013Just noticed that when I save a job as a pdf in Illustrator CS6 the images become pixelated. The image is currently 300dpi in photoshop. I have tried several methods. I have to scale it down small, but I can't figure I've tried different settings with the pdf.I have also scaled it in photoshop and still doesn't matter.

Aug 24, 2013I have an Illustrator document I created some time back, probably in CS4 (but could have been CS2). It shows a road map and has lots of road names that follow the path of the associated road. When I open this doc in Illustrator CS6 I am told that the legacy text must be updated before it can be edited.
If I open the file without updating the text then everything looks fine but if I choose to accept the offer to update all the text then my road names appear with irregular character spacing that looks very ugly.
How I can update the text to CS6 without messing up the appearance?

Illustrator :: Can't Set Brush Setting To Basic
Feb 12, 2014I'm having a problem changing brush settings back to basic, having pencil tool selected. Still I can draw basic line after I've clicked basic, but the line selection doesn't show. That occured after I chose the brush to be "Charcoal pencil". I still can change the brush to be anything else from the library (like different kind of calligraphics, inked, decorative brushed, even image brushed) but not back to basic. The width-settings are to uniform.
