There is a brick-like pattern on a geological cross section I could draw this in manually but any way to do it automatically so there is a uniform horizontal distance between vertical separators? I tried creating a brick type swatch, but this created horizontal lines which did not follow the curve of the stratum.

i've been using xara pgd for a few months now and absolutely love it. massive jump up from my old program which was very limiting (graphic design is a hobby / business necessity, not my full time gig).
so my first question to you good peeps: i've been trying to "bend" text to follow a radius using 'fit to curve' ... this has been problematic as the text wants to align itself at the end of the curve rather than the middle.
is there another way to bend text to a specified radius?

Problem with command from Home tab - Draw panel - Curves drop-down - Create Curves Between Two Lines OR Create Curve on Two Lines.
If you select the Degree option, it draws a zero length curve when you type in a valid number for degree of curve. I have tried entering it in decimal format and as ##d##'. NOTHING WORKS!

I designed back side of a business card with Arial font, When I printed cards I got horizontal little lines on besides and under text lines. On computer monitor it was only showing clear text in Enhanced view mode. When I changed view mode to Wireframe, then these lines shows on screen also. I only have text on this file, no background or any other object. I tried to change the font to other font types including Tru Type fonts also, but problem remained same.
I never had this problem with X5.
I dropped my digital camera last week and ever since every photo I take shows horizontal lines going across my picture on my camera screen. When I put the photos on my computer using Preview the lines appear to look worse but then instantly heal the line problem altogether.
Now my problem is this: When I open one of these images in photoshop the line problem reappears again and I can't seem to think of a way to get rid of it (like Preview did). And because the photos are so large the computer wont let me copy and paste the healed versions from Preview onto photoshop so I'm stuck with lines in all my pics. Now I'm assuming if Preview can totally heal my piece than photoshop should be able to as well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have written a small application in .NET that gives color to Illustrator files.I have a layer with 100 color items (paths with a fillcolor). Each one has a unique name. Through that name my program looks them up, takes the fill color and applies that color to another path.Recently there was a change in Design, the drawings that I had to provide of a Fillcolor were no no longer pathitems but rasteritems (imported from photoshop). I thought ok no problem instead of setting the Fillcolor property I'll use the Colorize method on the rasteritems. It worked fine but now and then I came across a situation where raster-item didn't get the color. After digging in to it I saw that it was because some colors are Pantone colors and the colorize method on rasteritems only takes RGBColor or CMYKcolor objects. How to do it with the pantone colors?
