Can I create A B-Spline curve and a NURBS curve in the Adobe Illustrator?
If yes, how to do it?
Also, how to create a breakpoint, that will add a new control point, on a curve, in Adobe Illustrator?
When I create a curve using spline on the screen I have noticed that often the curve between the points of the spline will become as straight lines. When I click on a point the curve appears again as normal and as I wanted. Any way to stop it from happening? Is this simply a characteristic of AutoCAD or something I am doing wrong? Does the curve appear as desired when plotted? The curves I am referring to are sections of a ships hull.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I draw a Nurbs Curve and check Enable in Viewport it is not visible in the viewport. I can change thickness settings, etcetera and see the bounding boxe changing in size but see no visible curve in any of the viewports. Is this a bug in Max 2012? Running Windows 7, 64 bit, Quadro 4000 with latest drivers.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm rigging a model of a robot and I have wires (nurbs circles extruded along a curve) attaching to two objects that are on different joints. I have it rigged so that when the first joint moves, half of the CVs of all the wires (in a control cluster) move along with the joint (and, in turn, the object they are attached to). This much works fine, the extruded nurb follows the curve and stays the same diameter from start to finish. My problem starts with the rigging of the second joint (the second joint is the parent of the first joint). I've tried many different ways of rigging it, but as I'm only just starting rigging my thought process isn't quite a straight line yet. Basically my problem is when the source curves physically move, the extruded surface goes twice the distance as displayed in the picture below.
I need to know how to get the extruded surface to always be in the same place as the curve with out breaking the connection.
What changed between acad lt 2007 and acad lt 2012. Cannot draw a simple 2 point spline curve in 2012. how I do it? Is it a sys variable changed somewhere?

This is terrible as I used to use simple line types to show different things on my drawings that was rapid fast with custom macros etc. Now the spline curve command does not work in same way costing me hours of time wasted. I have now resorted in saving all incoming drawings to older version and completing my drawings that way. Only problem is the new drawings are growing above the capabilities of my old machine.
How can I initiate the old std 2 point spline curve in the new software so it works the same way as old version?

The basics are fairly straight forward but my problem is creating the curved line with the explosion effect.
I have ran an analysis and SSA gave me Error 607 on the report. It says "Inlet A9 gutter capture curve is not a valid curve."
A couple things I did different from the video lectures...
I selected user define for the Tc to figure out Q. i computed those manually.
For the Inlets I have selected Maximum Capture Cutoff.
There are some inlets in this model I created that do not capture 100% of the flow so i created conveyance links to account for the bypass flow.Not sure why is not recognizing the Curve?
Why in LR4 is the Tone Curve default set to Custom with a contrast lowering curve? I would like the default to be linear, but I can't remember how I set that up in LR3.

How can i run this in curves so that it still looks like stitches? When I stroke a path it creates a black mess(while using brush). When I drag and draw freehand the results are not much better. Is there anyway to make it so this can follow some sort of curved path? As if you are rolling the brush along a line like a paint roller and keeping the integrity of the brush? I'm using Gimp 2.6.10.

When I attach the Subassembly to the Assembly, the event viewer shows "[Something wrong with current subassembly: The given key was not present in the dictionary.] (Source:Subassembly.Subassembly1)"
The link that represents the curve does not display; only the tesselated points display. In the Subassembly Composer the curve does display.
The file called curved.zip needs to be renamed to curved.pkt. This forum does not allow attachment of files with pkt extension.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am doing some animations involving sine waves, and I can make an expression that controls the translation of an object such that it travels along the path of a sine wave, but I can't figure out how to dynamically create an editable sine wave curve.
Is there a way to have Maya generate a curve based upon the path that an object travels upon?
For instance I have a sphere that is moving along the X axis with time, and also moving up and down on the Z axis back and forth. I would like to make an editable curve object of this path of motion.
I can see in Maya 2012 we will have motion trails where we can see the actual path an object is moving along, and that we will be able to interact with this path to alter the animation, but what if we could take that path and make it an actual curve or NURBS object?
Can I somehow smooth create editable motion trail curve? And why it is often that undo not working correctly, it is not updating in viewport and also if I left click and check show in and out tangent's they are not showing.

how to create reverse curve with straight portion in between , as their is no option of creating reverse curve with straight portion in civil 3d , duding designing a hill road what ever the reverse curve you design will be wrong and superelevation generated will also be wrong as it do no include straight in between the curves (ie reverse curve should contain transition curve transition straight transition curve transition.)

1- In Lines/Curves menu, select curve between two lines.
2-Select first tangent
3- Select second tangent
4-Select radius option
5- Enter 8'6"
6- After entering the radius I receive an invalid input message.
7- But if I enter the radius as 102 (102 inches) the curve is created without any problem.
