I am a graphic design student in college in my last semester and I have many projects invovling Illustrator I need to get done. Since a few weeks ago, both my Illustrator CS6 and CC have been crashing only when I save my progress. I have since uninstalled the CS6 and only have the CC version, but I go to save anything and it tells me Illustrator has stopped working and shuts down every time. I need these projects saved for Monday.
When I try to save a pdf from Illustrator, it crashes. I have CS5. It doesn't matter which settings I choose in the dialog box, it always shuts down illustrator and says Adobe Illustrator has stopped working....
I became a member of Adobe Creative Cloud a few days ago. Today I started working in Illustrator CC, but it really bothers me that everytime I save my doccument it crashes.Well, at least, it says that it crashes, but if I wait a couple of minutes it works again and it saved my procress. Â Also when I close the program and open it again, it already crashes before I have done anything. Â I am working on a Windows 7 computer, and with Illustrator CS6 I didn't had this problem at all.
So a few times now I have gone to save a document and illustrator cs6 64 bit crashes. It doesn't outright close, but it stops responding to windows and all of the pallate windows and main window begin to flash black and then back to regular. Â I run windows 8 on this computer and am worried that it just incompatible for the os. So I have begun to run the program in windows 7 compatability mode. For the last 20 minutes it hasn't crashed out, but I've only saved two documents and this error has only happend three times in a month of using the application, though two of those times were within an hour of each other today. Â I'm not 100% certain but I believe that each file it has happend on is also one that I had just saved for web.I found as much of a crash log as I can in this new os but it reads as follows: Â The program Illustrator.exe version 16.0.3.691 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.

I am running a fully licensed pro version of Illustrator CS6 on two machines. They both now crash (freeze) when saving EPS. Fine on PDF, Ai, etc... just EPS on both machines. No error messages, just a freeze then a force quite. Â Both machines are 27in iMacs, under one year old, latest versions of Mountain Lion, all top notch and running on i7 & i5 processors. Spec is not the problem. All software is updated. Â Really at a loose end. Reinstalled the software on one machine, OK at first, then back to crashing.
My issue is when I open an .eps, (any .eps because I tried it with a multitude of files), and I try to drag a path into the symbols panel then "save symbol library" Illustrator immediately crashes. It doesn't matter if its just one symbol or multiple symbols. Â This is the problem details: Â Problem signature: Â Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: Illustrator.exe Application Version: 17.0.0.260
When attempting to save a new symbol library that I have created Illustrator CC crashes without saving the file. It does'nt matter where I try to save it, or what the original source image was.
Today when I opened a file I worked on for hours last night, an error message with a lot of unreadable characters showed up. I relaunched it and redid the work. Then I went to save, and it crashed with the same error message.  Then it asked me to sign in, saying I was using a trial version, even though I was signed in and had been using it. So I sign in again, make the changes again, save, and it crashes again. When I open the file, the layers have been altered so that everything is now on one layer.
I have tried CS5 & CS4 and when I open the program and attempt to open or save an .ai file, the program completely crashes. My system specs are as follows: Â Â Manufacturer: DLS Processor: AMD Athlon Dual Core Processor 5200BÂ 2.70 GHZ Installed Memory (RAM): 1.50 GB (1.25 GB Usable) 32 Bit Operating System
I tend to get errors when I save my work in Illustrator. A few read as follows: Â "Unknown Error" "Can't Save Illustration" "Not Enough Ram Available" Â The last error I got read: "Can't finish previewing. There is not enough memory ID = -108" These errors don't happen all the time, but they occur often. And when they do occur, more often than not end up crashing Illustrator and can't save whatever I just worked on.
Here's what I've tried doing:
Cleared my Illustrator preferencesUninstall the whole Aodbe Suite > Run the Adobe Remover Tool > Reinstall Adobe SuiteRun disk clean up/defragmenterI get some of these errors even when I only have Illustrator and my browser open - no other programs are running except for anti-virus/malware software.Â
Here's some trivial information about my machine and the file I'm working on: Â RAM: 4GBThe file I'm trying to edit is 0.97MB and stored locally on my desktop (as opposed to a network drive)Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 8400GS (up-to-date)Hard drive has 231GB of free space64-bit processorRuns DirectX 11
I'm using Max2011 64bit SP1 under win 7.I have modelled a scene with about 100.000vertices so not too much and shaded it with a few standart materials and a few material libs I downloaded. now max crashes sometimes while saving a scene... and makes that file corrupt! but it doesn't happen everytime just sometimes and the most time if the animation curves are opened and i animated something!
I recently upgraded to CS4, and am having a problem saving a flattened .psd file to .jpg (saving to any other format works just fine). When I try to save as a .jpg (RGB, 8-bit), the program partially locks up, and no .jpg file is created. The File menu has only two or three options, including Close and Open As, but I cannot actually select these options. All other menu options are grayed out; no tools work. I cannot quit Photoshop in this state without using Task Manager.
When hitting saving for web and devices, Photoshop starts to render images but before it's done, it crashes. I get an error-popup with no text and the screen where normally the animation is shown is red. Then Windows comes with a crash report and I can only quit Photoshop. I have an animation of over 150 frames, but just some black and white lines, no color. I'm using Photoshop CS 5.5 on Win7. Â I tried deleting the preferences in AppData/Roaming etc, but no result, still crashes. My Photoshop is also updated to the latest version.
I'm using autoCad 2013 for Mac on OS lion (Educational Version). Often when i'm working for longer periods, when I try to save my work, it will suddenly go to my desktop, and the program wont respond. My work then is lost, and I have to open the recovered file, or work from the Auto saved file, and sometimes they didn't save aswell.
My files are saved on a shared dropbox folder, with some external references. On relative paths, i've unatteched them and it still crashes. I've tried the _audit command, and that didn't work either. I've been searching with appload for the MdiTab17.arx entry and try to unload it, but I can't find that file (maybe it's a windows solution).
When I save the drawing it crashes, only happens in 1 drawing. Recovers fine, but has 1795 errors, but can't save it will still crash, but saves the changes just have to recover again. Have tried Auditing, Purging, -Purge, Proxygrafics set to 0 per something I read when I searched this problem, short of wblocking everything out and putting it into a new drawing? Noticed also I have to type in filedia and set it back to 1 everytime as well.Â
This company brings things in from everybody, so I'm sure it flooded with all sorts of diffrent apps info. Even though I keep telling them only take what you need they dump the architects, mechanical, landscape, everybodies drawings into 1 design file, not using xrefs, for even the survey is blocked in. Only other thing in this drawing a 1 png file and a pdf. This drawing also contains over 20 layout tabs alot but don't think it causing this problem. If your wondering dwg size its only 4mb.
my CS6 keeps crashing constantly. Sometimes it's after I click a tooltip, sometimes it's when I save, sometimes it's when I use a keyboard shortcut. I get the same crash report every time:  Problem signature:  Problem Event Name:   APPCRASH  Application Name:   Photoshop.exe  Application Version:   13.0.0.0  Application Timestamp:   4f61c045  Fault Module Name:   atio6axx.dll  Fault Module Version:   6.14.10.10834
I am using a Mac retina display with OSX version 10.8.5. It has an internal flash/solid state drive. I am a member of Adobe CC. Since I installed the latest Photoshop update (14.1.2, x64), my Photoshop crashes when I try to save (command+S) a .psd file.
Photo-Paint crashes when saving twice out of three times...
When I edit a bitmap object from Draw, I always have to start my editing over and over.I lose my object. So...I do a workaround...I export the selected object, open it in Photo-Paint to edit it.
When saving...same thing. Except, the file saves properly. It's just that Photo-Paint crashes.
It used to do that with my older X4 version as well...I skipped the X5 and when on to the X6.
It still crashes, but even more...thing is...Both programs were installed on two different computers.
Having trouble with AutoCAD 2012 when saving to earlier versions? I can't save it down to any other version except for 2012, without the system crashing completely.
Also, from time to time we get the crash when editing MText.
I'm having a problem with the files saved from Inventor, regardless of type. I have no problem saving new files or opening files, however, any time I try and save changes to a file, inventor crashes. Also if I try and move a file, windowes explorere gets stuck at "descovering items." Renaming a file crahses explorer.Â
I have a situation where a teacher in our PLTW(Project Leads The Way) who uses inventor products for sometime is not able to save a old current project or make changes to this project, then save it. What is happening is it gives a blue screen error and corrupts the file so it cannot be fixed or opened. We cannot duplicate the process with the teacher, but we can if the file is opened on another computer and it is opened also on another computer at the same time as other pc. However, the teacher states that he doesn't have it open on any other PCs in the school.
My issue is pretty straightforward, I cannot export to PNG unless I trash the Illustrator preferences (located in: user/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS6 Settings/en_US/) BEFORE I start Illustrator. As soon as I close Illustrator, I must delete those preferences again the next time I start up the program or I won't be able to export a file. Â - I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion, but I was having the same issues in Lion. - I have uninstalled the whole CS6 Creative Suite and reinstalled (literally deleting every single Adobe file in the Library folder) still the same issue. - It seems to only be PNG files that I can't export to. If I try and make it a JPG it will export (I do commonly need to export with transparency so JPGs won't work for many things I need to export).
Mac OS X 10.8.4 Illustrator CS 6 Â Everytime I try to do save for web in Illustrator CS6 it gets hung up and I end up having to force quit the program. I have uninstalled and re-installed the software and it works once but then goes back to doing the same thing. I also noticed that now the program is getting hung up when IÂ try to undo a move or text and again I will have to force quit the program.
Illustrator CC crashes upon saving using OS X 10.75 on a Mac, with Dual Core Intel Xeon processor and 5 MB of memory. Tahoma and Verdana fonts are intalled. We cannot save a crash log, because the computer freezes, and we have to restart!
