Lightroom :: Saving Modified JPEG Files?
May 13, 2013I did a series of shots with an incorrect EV setting ( Exposure compensation) so I used Lightroom 4.3 to modify the exposure on these jpeg files. I then exported the modified images, and found that the file size was only 50% of the original.

Jan 27, 2013I recently upgradedfrom "Elements 2" to Version 11. I previously saved all my edited work in JPEG format and to the "My Pictures" folder. I was then able to open all modified photos and share them with another computer without resorting to any specialised program. I wish to continue to do the same using Version 11. Having made several attempts without success to save modified photos using my well tried and successful method and having read the Manual to see why the process is not successful with Version 11 I am now exteremely frustrated. Each attempt to save a modified photo results in a Thumbnail icon being loaded into the "My Pictures" folder with the elements 11 logo. I then are only able to open the photo (which incidently does not carry the modified file name from the original) by way of the elements 11 program.

Feb 16, 2012I have been trying to save images from one file to a final modified one. Two problems:
1) Some images are unedited and save sometimes but not always. Why?
2) Some are a combination of an original plus a transformed close-up from another image. When the finished edited image saves, it is much smaller than the few unedited images that did successfully save. Why?
The images are digital photos of my jewelry. In order to decrease the number of pages on my impending website, I am attempting to transfer, when one is available, a resized close-up to the other shot of the full set (close-ups are what sell the work!). Some of the images show 25% on the top bar but that doesn't seem to make a difference as to whether it will save or not. Others (I notice they seem to be more horizontal images) are 16.7% ? I tried to upload example images to illustrate what I am trying to do but kept getting an error message.

Feb 7, 2012I am having an issue running AutoCAD LT 2011 on a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. If I have orthographic dimensions on the drawing, AutoCAD crashes if I try to move, modify, or delete the dimensions. Recovery does not work. I am stuck with the dimensions once they are placed because if I touch them, the program crashes.
I do not know if this is important but I will include it anyway: this does not happen with older drawings that were created under older versions of AutoCAD LT. It only happens with ortho dimensions created in LT 2011.
I have applied all the latest patches, drivers for the video card, and even tried opening the drawings in 32-bit mode. Nothing seems to work.

Mar 1, 2013We recently purged our part templates of unused materials and appearances because there were duplicates after our merge between our original 2012 library and 2013 library. We deleted these duplicates but retained all materials that inventor uses by default, such as the "default" material.
Creating new files causes no problems, however when opening a .STEP file Inventor immedietly crashes and exits to the desktop. We tried re-assigning the default templates that came with our install of 2013 and we can open STEP files just fine.
We tried uninstalling the latest update (Update 2 for SP1.1) but that did not change the problem.
We are using confirmed STEP files that have opened fine in the past and new STEP files that are freshly downloaded. NOTE: the same crash occurs with .SAT and .IGES files as well, however we primarliy use STEP files.
This is occuring on two seperate machines, both running Windows 7 64-Bit with i7 processors and 16 Gigabites of RAM.

May 2, 2013I had a copy of Inventor 2013; It worked well up untilrecently. I moved some folders on my hard drive, and the program no longer could find the files. I went into options and changed the pathway for any prompt I saw had the former location. Next the part files I am working on are said to be missing. Something about the project location. I tried adding the files through managing the project found in options. Now Inventor says it is unable to open or even recognize the part files saved. Sep 27, 2011I downloaded the free trial of the VideoStudio Pro X4 a month ago and was so impressed that I went out and bought it! Then, after downloading SP!, it encountered a problem and stopped working. It was just a matter of restarting the application but it happened more and more over the weekend, meaning I lost work which I hadn’t saved. So I decided to uninstall the free trial version and install from the disk and it worked fine for a while but I then got a problem with my security program. Not sure whether it was due to the Corel installation or just coincidence.I did a system restore to fix the problem with the security program and since then I have been unable to access VideoStudio and get the message: Error 4: Corel VideoStudio files have been damaged or modified. Please reinstall your original source. But when I try I get the message: “Setup.xml could not be loaded. This may indicate that the file is corrupt”.

Apr 5, 2014I have not had any problems until I started trying to use a green screen, which has turned out to be a major pain. Ultra key did a good job, but I kept being told the after affects does a better job. My computer is a PC has 32 Gigs of ram a 4 gig video card, I7. I also just downloaded all the latest updates. I imported an AVCHD file after shooting a 30 min lesson on green screen. Had to do a lot of editing to get all put together so there were lots of cuts and I had alot nested sections so I can resize myself with the background to keep the perspective correct. After I had decent success with keying, though I wish it were better, I tried moving each indivdual video clip over to after effects to key in there. It looked like it might have been a little bit better than the using ultrakey.
Anyways, after taking forever to get all these clip edited in after affects, I wanted to export my completed video so I could see how well it worked. I never got the the chance because no matter what I choose under MPG2 it would lock up around 8%. Even when I tried to get to encode a 2min section of the video, it still locks up. The only way to get out of the program is to force it closed. As I searched for answer to this problem, someone suggested holding he shift key down while you open CS6, but that did not work. BTW the same file exports fine as long as I do not send any of the footage to after effect
it would be nice to be able to try and use after affects as well so I can at least see if the final result of the keying is better or not.

Apr 30, 2009I recently upgraded to CS4, and am having a problem saving a flattened .psd file to .jpg (saving to any other format works just fine). When I try to save as a .jpg (RGB, 8-bit), the program partially locks up, and no .jpg file is created. The File menu has only two or three options, including Close and Open As, but I cannot actually select these options. All other menu options are grayed out; no tools work. I cannot quit Photoshop in this state without using Task Manager.

Oct 24, 2012When hitting saving for web and devices, Photoshop starts to render images but before it's done, it crashes. I get an error-popup with no text and the screen where normally the animation is shown is red. Then Windows comes with a crash report and I can only quit Photoshop. I have an animation of over 150 frames, but just some black and white lines, no color. I'm using Photoshop CS 5.5 on Win7.

Sep 6, 2013I became a member of Adobe Creative Cloud a few days ago. Today I started working in Illustrator CC, but it really bothers me that everytime I save my doccument it crashes.Well, at least, it says that it crashes, but if I wait a couple of minutes it works again and it saved my procress.
Also when I close the program and open it again, it already crashes before I have done anything.
I am working on a Windows 7 computer, and with Illustrator CS6 I didn't had this problem at all.

Dec 11, 2012So a few times now I have gone to save a document and illustrator cs6 64 bit crashes. It doesn't outright close, but it stops responding to windows and all of the pallate windows and main window begin to flash black and then back to regular.
I run windows 8 on this computer and am worried that it just incompatible for the os. So I have begun to run the program in windows 7 compatability mode. For the last 20 minutes it hasn't crashed out, but I've only saved two documents and this error has only happend three times in a month of using the application, though two of those times were within an hour of each other today.
I'm not 100% certain but I believe that each file it has happend on is also one that I had just saved for web.I found as much of a crash log as I can in this new os but it reads as follows:

Illustrator :: CS6 Crashes When Saving To EPS?
Jul 5, 2013I am running a fully licensed pro version of Illustrator CS6 on two machines. They both now crash (freeze) when saving EPS. Fine on PDF, Ai, etc... just EPS on both machines. No error messages, just a freeze then a force quite.
Both machines are 27in iMacs, under one year old, latest versions of Mountain Lion, all top notch and running on i7 & i5 processors. Spec is not the problem. All software is updated.
Really at a loose end. Reinstalled the software on one machine, OK at first, then back to crashing.
Illustrator :: CC Crashes While Saving Anything

Since a few weeks ago, both my Illustrator CS6 and CC have been crashing only when I save my progress. I have since uninstalled the CS6 and only have the CC version, but I go to save anything and it tells me Illustrator has stopped working and shuts down every time. I need these projects saved for Monday.
