Illustrator :: CS6 Creative Cloud Crashes When Saving
Jun 12, 2012
Today when I opened a file I worked on for hours last night, an error message with a lot of unreadable characters showed up. I relaunched it and redid the work. Then I went to save, and it crashed with the same error message.
Then it asked me to sign in, saying I was using a trial version, even though I was signed in and had been using it. So I sign in again, make the changes again, save, and it crashes again. When I open the file, the layers have been altered so that everything is now on one layer.
Illustrator CC keeps crashing every time I try to save a file. My Creative Cloud is up to date, and I have a brand new iMac with 8GB Ram and the latest operating system. The average file size I've been working with is around 4MB, so not very big. I also make sure that I have as few programs opened as possible while I'm working in AI.
I've been talking to Apple Care every week, and even went back to the store to change my computer for a new one, but am still having problems.
I have the creative cloud for teams setup on my computer. My comp specs are as follow:
Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1 Intel(r) Core i7 CPU Q 740 @1.73GHz 8gb ram. 64 bit operating system. ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870
This is an ASUS Republic of Gamers G73-JH Laptop.Everytime I launch Photoshop CS6, it works fine to open a picture or start a new one, but as soon as I try to manipulate the canvas with any tool, or any command, Photoshop crashes.
we recently upgraded our creative cloud software from V6 to CC, since doing this our printer has refused to print grey scales. We have had an engineer in and he say the printer / copier is fine, and ran a number of grey scale tests to prove it.
I've tried a couple of times (uninstall, reinstall both CC Illustrator and Creative Cloud.) without any success. It downloads only the 17.0.0 version and shows my app up to date. I even tried to download it from the CC website with the same result.
Creative Cloud AI has crashed 10 times today. When I try to save changes to a file, it crashes. When I tried to create a new document and save changes it crashes. When I try to open swatches from the swatch library it crashes. I've used CC for 9 months and it has worked great. Today not so much.
Ever since starting to use the illustrator provided as part of the creative cloud, I can not produce anything with clear text. Why? It looks blurry on the art board and looks blurry in the final document.
All those users who have burned their fingers by the latest update to Illustrator 17.1, especially with respect to how the Reshape functionality works or how the Pencil tool behaves, there is a solution. After some digging around, I came across this page: [URL]
In short, follow these steps:
1) Uninstall the application from your computer using the application’s uninstaller. If you are not aware of their location, uninstallers reside in the same folder as your application. 2) From the Creative Cloud desktop application, begin to install any Creative Cloud application by clicking the “Install” button. 3) As soon as the application indicates it is “Updating”, click the “X” to cancel the process. 4) This leaves applications at the same version when Creative Cloud was first launched. 5) Go to the product updates site [URL] and then install the version of the application that suits your needs.
Let's get back to our jobs with 17.0 for now till the time Adobe fixes the mess they created with some thoughtful update in the future!
Is it still possible to get CS6 without Creative Cloud? I have CS4 and was going to upgrade to CS6, but then it changed to a subscription basis. As a nonprofessional, passionate hobbyist who gets no income from his photography I can't afford to pay the monthly costs of CS6 Creative Cloud. Or will I have to switch a competing photo program, which admittedly won't be as good?
Due to security reasons, I tried to enter my Photoshop CC through creative cloud and it prompt me to change my Password. Unfortunately since changed carriers from ATT to Comcast, my ATT email no longer exists therefore, when they sent the instructions to make the change I just couldn't retrieve it.
I always get the infamous phrase that another group responsible for the change will get in touch with in the next 24 to 48 hours. Well... it's been two weeks now.
I attended Photoshop World 2013 in Las Vegas. All attendees were given a free year of the Creative Cloud. I installed it on my laptop and am trying to install it on my desktop computer. I was told that I could have it on two computers.
The first time I tried to download it I got a message that stated that an administrator would have to do something. What do I do?
I'm trying to install Photoshop on to my imac 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo running Mountain Lion (10.8.4) from Creative Cloud but get a message 'You are running an operating system that Photoshop no longer supports. Refer to the system requirements below for a full list of supported platforms.'
When I try to use any software I am getting message that I am not logged ino my CC cloud account. When I try I keep on getting the message that there is a server error and I should try again later.
no matter what i try, Creative Cloud pops up and has the list of apps but lightroom 5 is nowhere to be found. i just bought Photoshop CC, and Lightroom 5. I had the trail for photoshop cc, and i believe i have the full version of it now. but light room 5 isn't even listed as an app.
I'm tying to see if the 3D features in Photoshop Creative Cloud do what I want to do but they are not enabled. Below is my computer specs. It has 2GB on the GPU so it should work.
Adobe Photoshop Version: 14.0 (14.0 20130423.r.221 2013/04/23:23:00:00) x64 Operating System: Mac OS 10.8.4 System architecture: Intel CPU Family:6, Model:58, Stepping:9 with MMX, SSE Integer, SSE FP, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, HyperThreading Physical processor count: 4 Logical processor count: 8 Processor speed: 3400 MHz
Notice on Adobe site indicates that update 13.0.5 is available for Photoshop cs6 Extended--non Cloud version. However when in the program itself using the update didn't show any updates for Photoshop CS6 only Illustrator cs6. And this update on the Adobe download site only appears to be available for the mac and not the pc.
So where is this update and what is the Adobe play to keep CS6 Suite of non-cloud products up-to-date.
I have been a PS user since 2006 and while I'm not a professional artist I am a very keen photographer. Additionally, I can still pull out and the first year trial is relatively affordable for a CS6 user.
My question is this:
Once I signed up I reloaded CS6 from the CC product options. I then checked for updates and it reloaded some updates. So how do I know I have the CC version? The System Info states that I have Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.1.2 (13.1.2 20130105.r.224 2013/01/05:23:00:00) x64.
The reason I ask is that I saw an interesting blog item on syncing settings with the CC Cloud. When I checked my CS6 menu, I did not have the Sync option. I am thinking that this may not be the correct way to update my in-place installed version of CS6 to the more current version of CC CS6.
Photoshop will not open in a Creative Cloud trial, although Indesign & other programs are fine, says I need an internet connection or the clock is set wrong?
