I'm having a problem with my Adobe Illustrator CS6, whenever I click an image to select, i need to wait for loading until it's selected. Quite annoying everytime I need to select few elements on my artboard.
Everytime i open Adobe Edge Animate, it takes a good minute or too to stop the spinning ball. Then after every mouse click, it spins for another couple of minutes, and so on. I have tried creating the launchd.conf file with the proxy information, I have uninstalled and installed numerous times. I am working from CC with a Mac Book Pro Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013 OSX 10.8.5. I am having no other issues with any of my other applications and them being responsive.
I can open Adobe Illustrator fine, but as soon as I select an object, before I release, the software crashes; if I'm lucky I can move the object, but before I release it, the software crashes.
I am experiencing image distortion with vector shapes or outlined letters with scale down. Shift + Alt + Click locks in the proportions of the image as a whole but what happens is individual letters/shapes become distorted resulting in a completely different look.
I am having a problem that may be a simple solve (but not for me). My image disappears after applying a rectangle to it. I have tried "bring to front" and don't know what else to try.
I am new to Illustrator, but know that I need to select the object I'd like to trace before using Image Trace. The problem is every time I used the selection tool, the entire picture is selected, and then traced.
I have a picture in Illustrator CS3 and I'm trying to make a vector for a t-shirt. I want to remove the brown background, but I'm unable to select the background. I select image, live trace etc (6 colors), but stil unable to select only the background, only the whole picture. Not sure what to do here.
i have a text saved in PNG is a text designed with an image.how can i select the outline in illustrator? in photoshop i need 3 click, open it, click rapid selection and click the image = done in illustrator what i have to do? i am capable only of open the file...
I have a JPEG image from a drawing which I need for a design but I don't need certain parts of the image.
Does illustrator allow me to make a selection of the parts I don't need (in a jpeg image) and delete them? Or is the only option Photoshop with the Magic Wand tool, although Illustrator has that one too?
I've written a script to allow you to select an image to replace any number of selected files. Each file starts out as an embeded image with a .note to determine where the basis of alignment for the new file should be (i.e. "top," "bottom," "left," "right"). You'll find the code below:
#target illustrator
if (app.documents.length > 0) { var docRef=app.activeDocument; var docSelection = docRef.selection; // ** Get new file
[Code]...
For some reason, the ".note" added at the end of the script gets erased once the script is complete. I can even get it to confirm that it applied the note to the image, but once it's complete, it's gone.
When I click the select tool, a brown selection type of rectangle appears in a particular area of the illustration, even though I have not clicked on the illustration yet. I assume it is some type of warning indication, but don't know what. P.S. It is draggable and scaleable - I can move it off the artboard. An example:
On the drop down menu on my pse11 the import/export options are unselecteable, why this is and how it can be resolved as I would like to be able to import things.
My studio has been using the Photoshop COM interop to do some automation which has worked really well for us, but just today I got this COM exception:
System.OutOfMemoryException: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {99AEA70E-4D13-44BF-A878-33345CBFCBC8} failed due to the following error: 8007000e Not enough storage is available to complete this operation. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000E (E_OUTOFMEMORY)).
which was weird since I wasn't anywhere close to being OOM...my system has 32 GB and i still had 16+GB free and ~600 GB of space on my HDD.
In any case, after that event, when I start Photoshop, the UI is active for maybe about 5 seconds before it becomes unresponsive and sits frozen for about 3 or 4 minutes before it goes 'magic-desktop'....crashes with no errors or dialogs.
Any runtime logs that Photoshop CS6 generates where I can look for more info on what might be going on?
Recently installed CS6 web premium on my computer. PSD 3D functions crash program everytime. I am using an ATI Raedon 4650 card, driver version 8.730.0.0.
i've been noticing that the program has seemed to run slower than it was a few months ago - taking longer to load up, buttons being unresponsive for a few seconds, etc. recently i noticed if i'm saving my psd file as a jpeg it will 'hang' for several seconds with the "ok" button greyed out. after several seconds it will turn blue but when i click it, it acts unresponsive but after a few more seconds it saves the document. but there's no click animation or whatever you might call it.

i had purchased 2 units of AutoCAD LT 2012 Commercial New SLM with Subscription in the Box**New last year. i had installed them in my desktop & laptop ( both windows xp 32bit ). i am facing problem while i doing the copy & paste option, my computer will hang & i need to restart the programme again.
I open the software, optimize the database, hit the triangle button and click "find duplicates." This freezes the software each and every time.
Virus caused me to wipe the hard drive and reinstall the software. The problem is the software has about 2 or 3 times the pictures it should it shows previous edits and two pictures and on top of that edited the pictures as it imported them so some pictures appear 3 times. I really need to get this taken care of. Using 64 bit Windows 7.
We have a customer using Photoshop CS6 he opens an image and performs the Quickstep process (the process where it scans the original image and rips out all of the different colours used to create the image) and then saves the image as both a PSD and EPS. If he then tries to open the newly saved PSD file the image hangs and gradually begins to open but then just locks up Photoshop to the point you have to end task to get out of it. If the EPS file is opened it opens absolutely fine. all other tasks and processes carried out in Photoshop are absolutely fine.
I'm running Photoshop CS6 x64 on a Lenovo T510 running Windows 7 x64.
My Lenovo T510 laptop will automatically switch from Intel HD Graphics adapter (CS6 reports The Intel HD graphics card doesn't work with CS6's "Use Graphics Processor") when undocked to NVidia graphics adapter (CS6 reports as NVS 3100M/PCIe/SSE2) when docked. See [URL]
Unfortunately, this means that undocking with CS6's default settings will hang Photoshop.exe with 100% of one CPU core. Photoshop recovers again after the PC is docked and the NVidia graphics adapter is enabled again.
When I turn off CS6's hardware acceleration, the problem goes away.
Updates says I have the latest Photoshop CS6 installed.
It's brand-new install and I haven't changed any settings since installation.
This seems like a bug in Photoshop: PS should be smart enough to realize that the graphics card has changed instead of hanging the CPU.
I've just instaled PSPP x3 on a new computer (i5-2500k / 8GB / Intel mainboard / ATi HD5450 with 512MB / Win 7 Pro - 64-bit), followed by the 4 patches.
When I start PSPP everything appears OK. I dragged an image into the program and worked on it.
When I came to save it (using the floppy disk icon or File / Save) PSPP immediately went into the 'Not Responding' state. When I restarted it, the same thing happens, but also with file open icon and File / Open as well. Editing functionality seems unimpaired.
I followed the 'complete uninstall' process; CDS 2010 Clean-Up ver1.8.exe, folder cleanup and registry cleanup. I turned off User Account Control, rebooted, disabled my anti-virus, and then reinstalled. Exactly the same as before.
A while back I took a Photoshop class and remember a lesson on where you could select a region of an image and save it for the web with a high quality and select another region of the same image and save it for the web with a low quality, so that the focal point was saved with a high quality and the background was saved with a low quality. I have no idea where my notes are from this class and can not remember at all how to do this. Can anyone direct me to a tutorial about this?
I have a large drawing with 5 meter contours that are 2D polylines on elevation. In Civil 3D 2012, when the crosshairs touch a polyline the drawing hangs for quite awhile. I've cut a piece out of the drawing so it is 28mb instead of 121mb and now the hang time is much less but it still does it. It does not happen in AutoCAD 2012.

I have a serious problem when hatching in AutoCAD LT 2011, it's making my PC hang but only when I'm using the 'Add: Pick points' command. It's so bad that I can't even call up the task manager to stop the process and I have to switch it off and on again to get it working.
I've never encountered this before with earlier versions of AutoCAD, is there a way around this? It's driving me nuts!
I'm using AutoCAD LT 2011 on Windows Vista.
Since opening my most recent backup file I think I may have found the cause.
I had inserted a .jpg image (150 x 150 @ 8KB) that I was using to trace around it and it was these tracings that I tried to hatch. I have since deleted the image and now the hatching causes no problems.
I waited months to update to 3.6 because I finally had Lightroom running well on my machine. Previously versions would hang on the spot healing brush to the pointed I'd have to shut down using task manager. The problem comes when I've edited a file in an external editor and I am working on the tif file that has been imported back into Lightroom. The spot healing brush just does not want to work. This continues to happen even when I close Lightroom and go back to the file later. This really bums me out because it just crushes my workflow!
I have a new problem too. It could be I hit something somewhere to cause the following behaviour. When I am working on an image with the adjustment brush, the adjustment point disappears. It doesn't show up so if I want to change the brush parameters the point isn't there to click on an make active so I can adjust the parameters again. This just started since I upgraded to 3.6. I believe I was using 3.4 before and I never had this issue.
When I started to use the preview releases of AMD's Catalyst 11.10 drivers, PSP Photo X3 would hang every time on the splash screen with the "Initializing Command Manager..." text. I have to kill the "Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo.exe" process. I did a clean install of AMD Catalyst 11.9 drivers, and no problems again. At the time I though it a 11.10 preview behavior. Maybe something about being unsigned drivers (not WHQL/signed).
Well. Today 31oct2011 the AMD Catalyst 11.10 WHQL/signed drivers was released. No change, with 11.10 final X3 hangs on splash screen, back to 11.9 it works.
I know there might be other ways. Reinstall Windows, test out PSP X4, and probably more. But I'll run X3 on a virtual machine before I do a reinstall, would take me one week of work And from reading about X4, Corel have missed their target audience by a mile Why can't they understand that some of us, me at least, would pay full price for a major upgrade that did not give a single new feature. Just put all the work into tuning/bugfixing the ones already there. I'm serious about that angle.
Little more about my setup: » Win7 Ultimate 64bit (SP1, patched up) » AMD HD 6950 x2 (AMD Catalyst 11.10 WHQL drivers, with CAP 4) » Corel PSP Photo X3 13.2.1.32 (Patch 5)
When I try to access a hatch pattern from the Hatch Creation Ribbon Contextual Tab, C3D stops working and I have to force the program to quit. I've tried repairing the installation, which didn't work. I've also compeltely uninstalled and then reinstllaed the program, and have applied the Service Pack 1 update, but the problem persists.
However, accessing a hatch pattern after using the "Hatch" command from the command does seem to work.
