The program launches. That's about all it does.
Ex. I drew a box with a white fill and black border.I tried to swap the fill and border and nothing happened.I zoomed out and it showed the change. Basically anytime I do something I have to adjust the zoom to get it to show the edit I wanted.
Then it won't let me close the document or quit the program. Not sure what to do.
How do I adjust the zoom increments in the viewport. I tried just making what I'm working on a lot bigger but it scales with the object and I can't see anything. Its either too far away or too close to be even remotely workable.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to adjust the settings in pan, zoom, and orbit. I've been using these commands with my mouse button and wheel. These 3 commands are not behaving properly. Whenever I make a small scroll on my mouse, the view port zooms all the way until I cannot see anything, which is very unlikely. The same goes when I use Orbit, a small movement/click in my mouse, makes a very big difference in a view port.
But everything goes well whenever I start new drawing.
I recently switched from cad2012 to cad2013. In 2012, I could zoom in and out with the roller ball until I was able to see my entire drawing in its paperspace viewport. Now, in 2013, I can only zoom in extremely far with one movement of the rollerball and then zoom back out when I move it the opposite direction. There is no in-between like there used to be in 2012. This is extremely annoying because I find that the only option is to use zoom>window which takes way too long to get the result I need. Is there a way to change the interval in which the rollerball zooms?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIn development mode, any adjustments I make on the sliders on the right have no effect to the picture. Sometimes the picture greys out and I have to try and click on a different picture below for it to show up again. The grey screen comes up if I try and crop and image as well. It feels like it's not letting me make any adjustment to the layer.
It was working fine a month ago. Had a client ask for a picture so started up LR4 and experienced the above problem.I have tried the following.
1. Created new catalogue, import new images. Still can't edit the pictures. Moving the sliders around and has no effect to the picture.
2. Unistalled LR4 and Reinstalled LR4 but still no change.
Whenever I go from Edit to Adjust (or Manage) the photo disappears. I can retrieve it if I go to open. I assume that the photo should show up when I go from Edit to Adjust or Manage.

By pressing "shift + a" will make "manage/adjust/edit" tabs disappear. To show the tabs, it is just necessary to press "shift + a" again. It will give more workspace. This feature just works when you are in "edit" tab. In the other tabs none happens.
I recently received a new computer. Still using LDD. When I zoom in on an object, my lines seem to look like arcs and some lines disappear. I am trying to edit the end of a line and when I zoom in I can't get a clear view of everything. Is there a setting somewhere that I need to check?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI purchased PSP 5 and uninstalled PSP 4. After installation, I am unable to see any image previews in manage, adjust or edit mode. I have installed the service pack updates with no change in this absent function. Neither the main window nor the organizer palette will display any jpg image previews. I CAN go manually to a specific file and open the image and edit it at will, but I cannot see any previews of any images in the main or organizer palette. how to get the program to display image previews. I never had this problem before in any of the previous PSP versions. I have also uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled the program to no avail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe're currently experiencing some strange behaviour with our pipe networks. Certain structures will not swap parts, but even more strangely, manhole height seems to be locked. Sumps will not adjust via grip edit or manual changes (see image: pipe connects to stucture, but sump will not update). Changing reference surfaces does not seem to work either. This occurs with all structures, even new ones, including ones created in brand new dwg files. I think the issue is related to the pipe catalogue (saved on a network path).
If you look at the attached images, the part appears to be modeled fine in part builder, but when that part is used in a style, I have a really random shape show up instead (although it still looks okay through object viewer for some reason). There have been some updates to some of the structures using part builder recently, is it possible that the pipe catalogue became corrupted somehow? or is there a way to refresh/regen the catalogue so that my drawings will update with the changes?
How the object is modelled is really not that important for our uses, we just need it to look okay in the profile views. It would also be nice if the sumps could be adjusted.

I don't like that because it keeps me from adjusting the lines accurate to each other. How can I keep them shown?

I need to create an illustration with only a certain amount of colors. I cleared out everything from my swatches palette and asked it to "add used colors." A color keeps popping up when I do this that I can't find in the actual illustration! But it must be somewhere. Is there a way to search for that color... so I can see where it is? I've tried selecting every piece of artwork, checking it, then locking it... but I'm not finding it.
I'm using CS4 on a Mac.
When I set my ruler to inches, and view the document at 100%, the inches appear much smaller as inches on my screen. I'm assuming this has something to do with resolution of either my Illustrator document, or maybe my computer screen? I would like the inches on the ruler to appear as the actual length of an inch on my screen.

I can open photoshop but it does not respond to anything, not even the Ctrl key. I have a new pheonix envy and windows 8. I have only used this photoshop program for one editing project. I have tried to reset the preferences with the keyboard shortcuts but nothing happens. I cannot quit the program or close the window. The program is completely frozen everytime I open it and all I can do it restart the computer. What could be causing this? It was working before I edited some photos....

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn AICS6 I have a compound path made of two half-circle looking shapes. They have to be separate because they are puzzle pieces. Inside of this I am placing an AI illustration that is a group of over 100 shapes. The problem is this: Once inside the compound path it is impossible to adjust the position of either the placed image or the path container. Let's say I want to move the path around the image. If I use the direct seletion tool it will only select part of the path. This happens even if I group the two parts of the path. It then wants to deform the half-circles rather than move them. If I select both halves of the compound path and try moving it with the keyboard arrows nothing moves.
If I select both with the white arrow and then switch to the black arrow the result is the same. OK, dead end. The other option is to move the image and keep the path container stationary. When I select the image with the direct seletion tool, however, it only selects one of the hundreds of vector shapes making up the image. Even if they are grouped, it will only pick the one part. This is really amazing because it works so easily in InDesign, but you can't make the kind of picture boxes in ID that I need nor the type of clipping paths I want in Photoshop. It is best done in AI, but as is often the case there is a critical feature missing that is found in another part of the so-called "suite" to do something that shoud be simple. I'm hoping that's just it: that I'm missing something really simple. don't tell me to raster the vector image. I know that would work, but that is not a solution. That is a concession. If that is the only way, however, I'll do it.
Is there a way I can adjust the spacing of objects like I can adjust the tracking of text. just a simple slider that adjust the distrobution of them. the objects are all different hights so there isn't anything in the align window that is useful. I'm looking for something that I can say "space 20px apart" or "space 12px apart." and dont have to deal with moving each object individually.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince I upgraded to Photoshop CS6, I've found that every once in a while the keyboard becomes unresponsive. I can't tell whether anything specific that I'm doing triggers it, but I'll be editing an image and will press a shortcut key and find it doesn't work. It doesn't happen when I first open up an image, but usually after I've been working for a while. As far as I can tell (it's pretty random) it seems to happen when I'm using a tool to apply an effect to an image, like this last time it happened when I'd been using the Spot Healing Brush repeatedly on a photograph. (Of course that could be correlation without causality, since I'm a big fan of the Spot Healing Brush and tend to use it quite a bit whenever I'm editing photos). Note that the modifier keys still function, but all of the letter and number keys are unresponsive.
Sometimes - and lately it seems like it happens always, there's a sound associated with the shut off. It's possible that the times I didn't hear the sound I had my speakers off. It's a brief clicking noise - and I don't think it's any of the built-in alert sounds on my Mac, since I just listened to all of them and I recall this sound being different - but the sound is definitely coming from my speakers and is not a mechanical sound from the machine. The only way I've found to get my keyboard responding again is to shut down Photoshop and restart.

Having troubles with the Videostudio program menu (not video menus) becoming unresponsive? At times, when I click on on a menu item (e.g., Edit) it changes intensity but doesn't drop down. It knows I am clicking on it by the change in intensity, but nothing happens. It's true for all menu items. To get any to function I have to do something elsewhere, like slightly resize one of the windows (although it's not just a case of clicking anywhere - only some actions reset the menu). Then all is well for a while.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI've used image trace to trace the outline of a street grid and expanded the trace into paths. However, after doing so, I realized I wanted the streets a bit thicker, so I increased the stroke value.
Is there a way to adjust the old paths to match the new outline? I tried saving it as a .jpg and retracing but the quality was subpar. Any way to "redo" the trace in the original file, or somehow tell Illustrator to move the paths to match the increased stroke? I need them to coincide once more with the edges of the streets. URL...
Is there a way to adjust the color of a pattern fill without changing the actual pattern?
Sometimes I do this by overlaying another solid color fill on top of the pattern fill, and use multiply or other blend modes. This works except when the pattern contains empty/transparent areas: in this case the solid color would pass through and affect the object below the pattern, which is unwanted.
So basically, is there a way to isolate the color change to a single object? I've tried with "Isolate Blending" and "Knockout Group" with no success...
I can't seem to adjust the Writing Direction in both Illustrator and InDesign CC. The RTL and LTR buttons are not availble in the Paragraph panel at all. I need to create bilingual doucuments in both Arabic and English. I tried going through the settings, I checked my mac settings and nothing works. All other software can work this function, even with shortcuts except the Adobe CC software I have.

First, on a path that allows the change:
Select an elipse.Increase the stroke weight of the elipse.Control-Z to undo.Decrease the stroke weight of the elipse.The above demonstrates I know how to adjust the path weight (at least I think it does).Next, on the path that doesn't allow the stroke width to be reduced: Select path. I am using Adobe Illustrator CS6 and need to adjust the map scale of an image. In my class, we were told to go to the Image menu bar then click on Image Resize, but I do not see any of these options on CS6- they are on CS5. How do I get to Image resize? Also, where is Image Mode?

If I have a rectangle shape on my screen selected, the hash marks that are normally in the middle are no longer there, also at the edges of the rectangle the selection tool doesn't change over to the rotate tool. My selection tool also has a small black square at the bottom right of it that I haven't noticed before. I have no clue how I got into this mode, preferably without resetting all of my preferences,

As I reproportion the box the three node points of the radiused corner also reproportion, distorting the radius. Any way to reproportion a Rounded Rectangle and keep a true, undistorted radius? And even better, resize the rectangle and keep the original radius.
