View 1 RepliesI have prepared a calender where all the rectangles are rounded cornered and now client is asking acute angles without corners how to bring back them to without corners. Since selecting each objects and using shape tool and to unround them consuming.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhat I do not like is that I draw a rectangle and then add the radius corners and it is fine.
If I then drag the box taller or wider the radius of the corner changes too. But also I have noticed that it does this even if you drag the box to size first then add the radius corners.
example: I make up a rectangle and add start adding text. Then I have to make the box bigger so I do that, finish adding my text. Now go to add in the radius corner and they are all skewed out of shape. This seems to be because I have dragged that rectangle bigger that what it was when I first dragged it into place.
Is there a way around this so that I can make my rectangle say 250 wide by 50 tall. Then later on change it's size and add radius corners and make it so the corners are all even and not all out of proportions?
When I erase in Photoshop part of a drawing, gray rectangles appear. How can I eliminate them? In other words: every time I erase something, text or drawings, those gray rectangles appear. Is there a way to erase something leaving that part just white, so there I can write or draw whatever is needed?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was wondering why Batang and Arial were appearing in the Fonts under Document Properties when I had not actively used them in my "New" document.
When I looked at the Default text files, I believe I see the reason. I find Batang listed as the default Asian Text font for both Artistic and Paragragh Text. The options for Asian Text don't seem to include any fonts that I have on the old machines.
Similarly, the Middle East Default Text style would seem to generate the Arial(Arabic) entry in the required fonts.
Is there a way to completely eliminate the default Asian Text and Middle East entries from the default text styles?
Is there any way of modifying the Curve Flyout menu such that the Bézier tool becomes the default? (rather than the Freehand tool which I seldom use? I can't see where to do this in the Customize dialog.

When you draw a curved line, the nodes default to Symmetrical rather than Smooth. Symmetrical nodes adjust both sides of the curve when you move the node selection handles which I rarely use. Smooth allows you to adjust once side of the node without effecting the other but still maintaining an in line alignment.
if you can make nodes on a curve default to Smooth rather than Symmetrical?
Why in LR4 is the Tone Curve default set to Custom with a contrast lowering curve? I would like the default to be linear, but I can't remember how I set that up in LR3.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI cant see how to do this but there must be a simple way of doing it. Howe do I have pointed corners for the top left and top right then curved bottom left / bottom right of a rectangle that I create. I tried unlocking the shape but it still seems to do all or nothing. Am I missing something obvious?

The artwork includes two fills using radial fill with two grey colours from the Corel CMYK metalic palette to produce a simulation of a metal finish.
If I output as JPG the moirè is eliminated but as a PDF, even with complex fills going to BITmaps I end-up with the moirè.
This is the output as a JPEG:

I click photos of books in my library. So when I import a page on a coreldraw [the jpg image that is ] the page has 2 or more photographs. I crop each photo by making a rectangle then croppping the photo using the intersect command. however if i make 3 rectangles on a page for each photo, select the jpg image and the rectangles, use the intersect command, it doesn't work. That is to say the photos don't get cropped. I have to do this rectangle thing for each photo one by one. Is there a quick way?
Like if there's a jpg image of a page having 4 photographs, i make 4 rectangles for each photo, use the intersect command and all the photographs get cropped ?

I was just going through the files for our main printed catalog, updating everything and turning individual pages into pdfs for the website, and once again ran into this anomaly. Often, photos with a white background would be processed for the pdf with a black kind of ragged edge line, appearing to be slightly offset from the actual cropping edge from DRAW. This has been an intermittent problem for as long as I can remember. I suspect Adobe is at fault, but what is the solution? I can re-crop the photo and regenerate a new pdf and sometimes that works, but not for a lot of these pics.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to fill the white area inside this curve and can't figure out how to do it. I read on a different thread that maybe the nodes weren't joined but I have checked each one of them and they are joined.
What I want is to be able to select that curve by clicking on the white area (like I do with the other ones) and then fill it with colour.
By the way, this is the first curve I have created, the other curves in the design weren't made by me. I really want to modify this particular area on the design.
How to equalize the nodes distance between the curve to apply the brush after making them break apart since here as per the curve size and direction nodes are distributed unequally. how to make them equally aligned.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen we import a PDF into Draw, there will be a "Import PDF" pop-up asking whether we want to Import Text As - Text or Curve
Very often when I choose "Curves", it still prompts me for font substitution, while I expect whatever embedded fonts in the PDF will be converted to curve during import.
I wonder how this option is suppose to work.
I had done a logo in an older version of Corel, when I open it in Corel X4, the curves are invisible, and there appears to be no way to give those curves color. I can draw an independent curve and change the color of that curve, but cannot do the same with the existing curves from the older version.

After I cut a three-point curve through the middle the curviest part becomes really fat (see attached photo). I have not found options to tackle this problem. I just want to draw that half curve.
Another problem is: When I enlarge figures the wideness of the lines enlarge also. What is this? 0,3 mm wide = 0.3 mm wide. If after enlarging I try to paste the different figures together one figure has a fatter line than another, while the figures both indicate to be 0.3 mm wide. I cannot make the fat line thin enough because there is a limit in which you can make the lines thin.
I only want to draw an ascending sinus (growing amplitude) in a mathematical looking way.

But now - I would like to apply a fill, to fill the entire creation, including the outlines, seamlessly. Basically, replace the outline color with the fill, and the fill itself - such as linear fountain fill.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI cannot work out how to consistently go from drawing a straight line to drawing a curve and then back again to a straight line....
The first two steps are fine, but when I go to the third step of trying to draw a straight line after a curve I am having problems, it does not seem to be consistent - I click on the last node which then displays the line next to the pen but if I try to click for a straight line - it makes a curve!
If I use the Alt key and click the node, this also sometimes works but not always and I can't for the life of me work out a way to get it to work in the same way all the time.
I have the following product label for a customer and need to know how to curve the top rounded like it is, from using a rectangle photo.
