When i tried to add an inside contour to a simple square with rounded corners......the inside contour is missing the rounded corners but when you add a contour to the outside of the square with rounded corners...the corners are round.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhat I do not like is that I draw a rectangle and then add the radius corners and it is fine.
If I then drag the box taller or wider the radius of the corner changes too. But also I have noticed that it does this even if you drag the box to size first then add the radius corners.
example: I make up a rectangle and add start adding text. Then I have to make the box bigger so I do that, finish adding my text. Now go to add in the radius corner and they are all skewed out of shape. This seems to be because I have dragged that rectangle bigger that what it was when I first dragged it into place.
Is there a way around this so that I can make my rectangle say 250 wide by 50 tall. Then later on change it's size and add radius corners and make it so the corners are all even and not all out of proportions?
I know how to make rounded corners. But the background has color and shows the square corners of the palette.

I haven't experienced my contour offset 'jumping' in too large increments.....BUT
my contour offset tool is not working like it used to.
Only rarely would I receive the message 'contour offset too large' when offsetting a bezier curve .025"
Whenever this would happen I would then reduce my nodes or convert them to cusp or smooth. This would almost always fix the 'countour offset too large' problem.
I've reset Coreldraw to factory default but still have this problem with certain lines.
All of my software is up to date.

Basically, what I was looking to do was import a table (say from excel) with a number of data points which each have three coordinate locations (X, Y, Z). I would be looking for the program to take these data points and be able to draw lines or shading between them in essentially what would be a topographic map (contour map). In the past, I have used another program called Surfer to create the contour maps, and have then had to import the exported image to an older version of CorelDraw.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI have been using Corel since V3. I recently started using X5 instead of V11 for my daily tasks. Overalll when it stays running all works great. But I have had multiple instances of the application just closing without warning on very simple tasks like editing text, moving text, trying to select a drop shadow and moving around toolbar. This instability scares me. One time it close unexpectely it corrupted the file too. I am used to the once in a while crash but this happened multiple times in a couple of days. When you reopen the same file and do the same tasks again no crash.
My machine 2.8ghz 4mb ram XP Pro SP3.
I am just newly figuring out that I can complete repetitive tasks by recording a macro, simple right? I am trying to power clip an imported image into a shape via macro but it is not working.. I am getting Run-Time error's... Parameter Index is out of range.
I have one "shape" and 25 different car logo's I am needing to power clip the logo inside the shape with the click of the "macro" and it is just NOT WORKING! I understand that I can complete the task at hand by simply creating 25 bitmaps, one with each logo then simply importing that into my document, but I need to figure this Macro for this out because it will become more complex and time consuming as time goes on and I add more logos and different shapes in which I need to power clip them into. I simply understand that I can hit the "RECORD" button, do what needs done and then hit stop.. then of course do this again later by playing the macro.

Is there a way to change the outline color around a large group of images all at once?
I am trying to create an outline color for contour cutting and I have the outline color in my spot colors but now I was wondering if I could apply these change to all the images at once instead of changing each one.
Ive got a image(Fill K-100) in a vector format that i'm wanting to have a faded contour inside from White(C-0 M-0 Y-0 K-0) to Red(M-100)
I can get it to have a single color fade but not from white center to red "glow" around the white.
I recently had to buy a new computer and re-install CorelDraw X5. I've been using the software for about 3 years now to run a laser engraver, so I'm not new to dealing with vectors. For some reason though when I draw something like a square, click "convert to curves", then right click the segment I was to delete, the delete option is grayed out and the only thing I can do is add a node. I'm not too sure what I'm doing wrong or if it's a setting somewhere they didn't get checked off when I installed the software.
