Ive got a image(Fill K-100) in a vector format that i'm wanting to have a faded contour inside from White(C-0 M-0 Y-0 K-0) to Red(M-100)
I can get it to have a single color fade but not from white center to red "glow" around the white.
I get a raster image to convert to vector format. Here's a part of this image:
I tried tracing but the image resolution is low and I didn't get acceptable results.
I've also tried tracing the edge with line segments and Bezier curves. But when the lines close a polygon the resulting polygon is not what I expect.
What tools to use to convert it to vectors? I use CorelDraw X3 and PS 5.
I am having trouble doing this in my current software, Serif Drawplus, PSE, Photoplus, (I have Gimp but haven't used it ever yet). And I am considering buying X6 for use in other projects. So, can x6 do this in either Photo Paint with a bitmap, or in X6 with a group of Vectors?
I want to wrap a bottle with a logo. The mesh warps aren't working for me in the above applications, and envelope warping will not work either. Transform-Warp is not present in PSE. I mention that because I see a tutorial for PS using that. How would Corel X6 Suite do this? I am considering buying the software once some questions I have about it are cleared up. I wish Corel would make the manual and tutorial videos public. I'd rather download the trial for actually using it rather than trying to see if some feature is present, or a workaround for a feature a competitor has.
I am also hoping to make in this project, some 10-20 different bottles with the logo on, of different sized bottles and different rotations of the bottles. Plan D is acquainting myself with Blender, but lets hope I don't have to go that far!
I would like to convert a jpg image into a vector is that possible? I have search for tutorials on the net but have yet to find anything suitable. Below are the two images I would like to convert into vector to use as website logo.

New to Corel Draw. We just purchased a laser cutter to cut our stencils (we airbrush), but having a VERY hard time figuring out how to prep the vector images. We follow instructions, but it seems to always have a problem. We usually separate layers on photoshop and then trace on Corel so it can be a vector, but it doesn't seem to be working. What is the easiest, most simple way to turn an image into a vector so we can send it to the laser software??? Only doing black and white, one layer at a time.
Just need simple instructions, and most seem to be WAY too complicated or always have some complication. I have watched videos and read instructions, got close, but no cigar. Sometimes I think I have a vector, but when I send it to the laser software it doesn't detect it. I need simple instructions, Simple simple!
Can I make an image a vector without tracing it? Does it have to be a bitmap to be a vector? I can't turn images into curves because the option is gray (not available). If I select hairline it puts a hairline border around the image and I don't want it cut!
I have an .eps file I am trying to import into corel 11 and it keeps coming over as an image and not vector. I also am getting error messages when I use the filters.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI apply a red glow on an object (rectangle) on an black background.When exported as JPEG or PDF, the red glow color faded become greyish. I check that it's same when I turn the proof colors on.I've change different modes for the drop shadow but none gives the correct result.
This only happens in CMYK mode. When exported as RGB, it's fine.
I am making vinyl decals and for some reason I am so confused about "contour and cut" which is which ? I need to know how to put a line around an object that will be a cut line .

I haven't experienced my contour offset 'jumping' in too large increments.....BUT
my contour offset tool is not working like it used to.
Only rarely would I receive the message 'contour offset too large' when offsetting a bezier curve .025"
Whenever this would happen I would then reduce my nodes or convert them to cusp or smooth. This would almost always fix the 'countour offset too large' problem.
I've reset Coreldraw to factory default but still have this problem with certain lines.
All of my software is up to date.

Basically, what I was looking to do was import a table (say from excel) with a number of data points which each have three coordinate locations (X, Y, Z). I would be looking for the program to take these data points and be able to draw lines or shading between them in essentially what would be a topographic map (contour map). In the past, I have used another program called Surfer to create the contour maps, and have then had to import the exported image to an older version of CorelDraw.

When i tried to add an inside contour to a simple square with rounded corners......the inside contour is missing the rounded corners but when you add a contour to the outside of the square with rounded corners...the corners are round.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI often create graphics in CorelDRAW export it and inserting it into my MS Word documents and finally convert my documents to pdf. When it is vector graphics, exporting as EPS works fine: The increase in file size is small and lines are displayed perfect independant of how much you zoom in the final pdf document. When I handle bitmaps, I usually export as JPG (or PNG), which works well too. My problem arise when I have a mixed vector and bitmap image. I have imported a bitmap into CorelDRAW and created some lines on top of it. I want to export it as a whole. If I export as EPS, the final result is fine, but filesize has increased considerable. If I choose to export as jpg, the filesize is fine, but the lines are getting slightly blurry. Is there a way to get the best of both Worlds - resonable filesize and perfect lines? Maybe settings in some dialog??
