I am having trouble doing this in my current software, Serif Drawplus, PSE, Photoplus, (I have Gimp but haven't used it ever yet). And I am considering buying X6 for use in other projects. So, can x6 do this in either Photo Paint with a bitmap, or in X6 with a group of Vectors?
I want to wrap a bottle with a logo. The mesh warps aren't working for me in the above applications, and envelope warping will not work either. Transform-Warp is not present in PSE. I mention that because I see a tutorial for PS using that. How would Corel X6 Suite do this? I am considering buying the software once some questions I have about it are cleared up. I wish Corel would make the manual and tutorial videos public. I'd rather download the trial for actually using it rather than trying to see if some feature is present, or a workaround for a feature a competitor has.
I am also hoping to make in this project, some 10-20 different bottles with the logo on, of different sized bottles and different rotations of the bottles. Plan D is acquainting myself with Blender, but lets hope I don't have to go that far!
I would like to convert a jpg image into a vector is that possible? I have search for tutorials on the net but have yet to find anything suitable. Below are the two images I would like to convert into vector to use as website logo.
View 6 Replies View Relatedis there a quick way to fill a circle/ellipse/polygon object with a bitmap image/ photo? I have a bunch of photos i would like to put into these objects and would like to have them filled/fitted into the objects and clipped by the outer extent. I guess a picture fill of some sort? Or a mask?

View 2 Replies View RelatedNew to Corel Draw. We just purchased a laser cutter to cut our stencils (we airbrush), but having a VERY hard time figuring out how to prep the vector images. We follow instructions, but it seems to always have a problem. We usually separate layers on photoshop and then trace on Corel so it can be a vector, but it doesn't seem to be working. What is the easiest, most simple way to turn an image into a vector so we can send it to the laser software??? Only doing black and white, one layer at a time.
Just need simple instructions, and most seem to be WAY too complicated or always have some complication. I have watched videos and read instructions, got close, but no cigar. Sometimes I think I have a vector, but when I send it to the laser software it doesn't detect it. I need simple instructions, Simple simple!
Can I make an image a vector without tracing it? Does it have to be a bitmap to be a vector? I can't turn images into curves because the option is gray (not available). If I select hairline it puts a hairline border around the image and I don't want it cut!
I have an .eps file I am trying to import into corel 11 and it keeps coming over as an image and not vector. I also am getting error messages when I use the filters.
View 10 Replies View RelatedIve got a image(Fill K-100) in a vector format that i'm wanting to have a faded contour inside from White(C-0 M-0 Y-0 K-0) to Red(M-100)
I can get it to have a single color fade but not from white center to red "glow" around the white.
I get a raster image to convert to vector format. Here's a part of this image:
I tried tracing but the image resolution is low and I didn't get acceptable results.
I've also tried tracing the edge with line segments and Bezier curves. But when the lines close a polygon the resulting polygon is not what I expect.
What tools to use to convert it to vectors? I use CorelDraw X3 and PS 5.
When I have a raster image power clipped into a vector frame and I attempt to trim that power clipped image. Corel locks up.

Epilog laser.com has a tutorial how to do it, but I am afraid it is a tutorial for corel draw x3 or x4. I have x5 and when I follow the tutorial, I am not able to get the result I want. I find trouble when I try to trim out the images from the frame.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI often create graphics in CorelDRAW export it and inserting it into my MS Word documents and finally convert my documents to pdf. When it is vector graphics, exporting as EPS works fine: The increase in file size is small and lines are displayed perfect independant of how much you zoom in the final pdf document. When I handle bitmaps, I usually export as JPG (or PNG), which works well too. My problem arise when I have a mixed vector and bitmap image. I have imported a bitmap into CorelDRAW and created some lines on top of it. I want to export it as a whole. If I export as EPS, the final result is fine, but filesize has increased considerable. If I choose to export as jpg, the filesize is fine, but the lines are getting slightly blurry. Is there a way to get the best of both Worlds - resonable filesize and perfect lines? Maybe settings in some dialog??

When I draw a perfect circle with the tablet, I get an ellipse on the screen, but when if I draw a perfect circle with the circle tool, I get a perfect circle on screen.I hand draw the circle with a round frame, so I'M sure my "handmade" circle is perfect.
Distortion is not very hard, but this mismatch makes sketching harder and I'M not so skilful. I have this problem on both photopaint and Draw x5I. Is there some way or setting on Draw X5 ( and photo paint) to set the tablet and Draw X5 together so I will get what I draw when I sketch ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs this possible? Basically, I have a few hundred photos (in RAW format) that I wish to mask then cut/paste on top on another layer in Draw; however, they are all circular and all would be the same size give or take a few hundreds of an inch. This is not a very easy thing to do by eye with the circle mask tool in PhotoPaint.
Perhaps there is another way to do without, masking from PhotoPaint, but I can't think of it.

I would like to add a white highlight to the eye of one of my images like the one in this image......so that it is white in the middle then gently fades to black without having a line around the edge. Been trying to do it but can't get the same effect.
Using the code from "MakeMeACircle" macro. How can I modify it to "InserCircle"? I have it working now but only if the shape is square and aligned to the bottom left of the page. If I move the square anywhere else and run the macro the "Ellipse" is created outside the square and is "squished" instead of a perfect circle.
Who knows maybe there's a macro that already exists to insert a circle inside any shape?
Sub InsertCircle()
Dim sr As New ShapeRange Dim x As Double, y As Double, w As Double, h As Double Dim dLeeway As Double ActiveDocument.Unit = cdrInch If ActiveSelection.Shapes.Count = 0 Then Exit Sub sr.Add ActiveSelection.Group sr(1).GetBoundingBox x, y, w, h 'adjust this property ####################################### dLeeway = 0# 'distance to sides 'adjust this property ####################################### sr.Add ActiveLayer.CreateEllipse(x - dLeeway, y - dLeeway, w + dLeeway * 2, h + dLeeway * 2) With sr(2): .OrderBackOne: .Fill.ApplyNoFill: End With sr.Shapes.All.Ungroup
End Sub
I'm trying to graduate a circle precisely . An example such as a draftsman's compass or a clock face. I create a circle then I make a vertical line which then I copy , space them apart and create a blend between them. I then choose (new path) and select the circle, then (blend along full path) and finally (rotate all objects).
At a quick glance it looks proper but as in the case of a clock face (a graduation every 30 degrees) some of the lines are not precisely radiating from the center of the circle I'm using as the path. In the near future I plan on drawing" to scale' a certain number of meshing gears and this will cause problems.

View 10 Replies View Related This is my first post in the Corel forum and I hope I did it all right here:
First Bug -> In my last contest work I've tried to embed many transparency effects. While I designing my graphic I've used (among many others) a transparency effect that named »Behind« (in my German version of CorelDRAW it's named »Hinter«). I've applied that effect to a texture bitmap graphic and it worked correctly so long the bitmap overlaid a vector shape in an ordinary way. But after I include the bitmap into the vector shape (using the vector shape as a Power Clip) obviously the used transparency effect conflict with the anti aliasing function of the vector shape and the smooth margins of the vector shape turned into rough boarders and the vector shape looked like a bitmap in a poor resolution. I guess it is only an indication error in CorelDRAW but for a designer's eyes this bug is very disturbing and should be corrected by Corel!
Second Bug -> Often I use CorelDRAW for vector illustrations and that's why I have to integrate scanned sketches (JPEG format) to build vector illustrations bases of it. Here we have another indication error or better to say a performance problem of CorelDRAW. While I using the sketch image in extended view mode the zoom function of CorelDRAW works correctly and pleasant fast. But if I switch to simple contour mode the performance of zoom mode of CorelDRAW worsens rapidly. The performance of my computer is not the problem with this because my hardware is on a high level and I use an well arranged and clean Windows 7 operating system. It would be nice if Corel is able to fix that problem because it disturbs the work flow enormous and it minishs the fun that I have while I'm using CorelDRAW!

View 10 Replies View Related I use and really like Corel Draw X3 (almost 3 years) and will keep that version on one P4 computer that runs win xp pro 32 bit.
X3 has been a great version that never crashes but it is getting slow as I increase the number of objects and symbols in my files. I have a new comp with win 7 pro 64 bit running CDraw X6 and the latest epilog 64 bit driver for my mini 24. I have been using the new X6 for 3 days .
In X3 a hairline or .001 is a vector cut. A line width of .005 and above are raster lines and they work well in my Epilog mini 24. I am using a 1.5" diam lens. In X6 a .005 line will not raster but only vectors. If I change it to .006 it becomes a raster line and will engrave OK.
The big Question:
Is there a way to make .005 raster as it did in X3? I have hundreds of files that are all .005 line width. I don't mind changing them but would rather not.
Could this change be because of the latest Epilog 64 bit driver that I am using with win 7 pro? Almost all my files have oddles of very fine detail (.005) and they would look a bit muddy changing the line width to .006.
