I'm laying out cribbage board designs for export to .dxf. I've drawn the board holes as circles but for the dxf file what I really need is a Single Point at the center of each circle.
So, is it possible to make single points in CorelDraw X4? If so, is there a way I can put a single point in the center of 300 holes at once?
In Photoshop / Illustrator, when I create a polygon, and rotate it around it's center point it wobbles. When I scribe it inside of a perfect circle, and rotate it around the circle's center point it rotates smoothly. Basically proving that (at least according to these Adobe products) that the center point of a circle is different than the center point of a polygon scribed inside of it.

This is incorrect according to basic math. Is Adobe aware of this bug?
I need to find the center of a circle that is tangent to another circle and a point on a line. I cannot use tangent tangent radius.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI need to find a way how to insert a point or a * on the center point of a hole and put it on a different layer. The reason for this is - I am a CAD tech for a welding shop and we cut parts out of steel and we use the dxf file format for our plasma table to cut parts. For example : if i have a 1 inch thick plate and want to put a 3/4'' hole in the plate the hole will be distorted because the hole is smaller than the material thickness. For these situation we can use the plasma table to burn a point or a dot on the center point of the hole. But to do this the point or dot must be on a different layer in the dxf.

When I draw a perfect circle with the tablet, I get an ellipse on the screen, but when if I draw a perfect circle with the circle tool, I get a perfect circle on screen.I hand draw the circle with a round frame, so I'M sure my "handmade" circle is perfect.
Distortion is not very hard, but this mismatch makes sketching harder and I'M not so skilful. I have this problem on both photopaint and Draw x5I. Is there some way or setting on Draw X5 ( and photo paint) to set the tablet and Draw X5 together so I will get what I draw when I sketch ?
I want to add a Tex inside a Circle and I want the text to take the "shape" of the circle. What I mean is that I want the text to bend and fit on the circle.

Basically, I have a few hundred photos (in RAW format) that I wish to mask then cut/paste on top on another layer in Draw; however, they are all circular and all would be the same size give or take a few hundreds of an inch. This is not a very easy thing to do by eye with the circle mask tool in PhotoPaint.
Perhaps there is another way to do without, masking from PhotoPaint, but I can't think of it.

I would like to add a white highlight to the eye of one of my images like the one in this image......so that it is white in the middle then gently fades to black without having a line around the edge. Been trying to do it but can't get the same effect.
Using the code from "MakeMeACircle" macro. How can I modify it to "InserCircle"? I have it working now but only if the shape is square and aligned to the bottom left of the page. If I move the square anywhere else and run the macro the "Ellipse" is created outside the square and is "squished" instead of a perfect circle.
Who knows maybe there's a macro that already exists to insert a circle inside any shape?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to graduate a circle precisely . An example such as a draftsman's compass or a clock face. I create a circle then I make a vertical line which then I copy , space them apart and create a blend between them. I then choose (new path) and select the circle, then (blend along full path) and finally (rotate all objects).
At a quick glance it looks proper but as in the case of a clock face (a graduation every 30 degrees) some of the lines are not precisely radiating from the center of the circle I'm using as the path. In the near future I plan on drawing" to scale' a certain number of meshing gears and this will cause problems.

currently, I use the very silly way to do that: unhide only one layer and select this layer to export one layer by one layer. Whether Corel draw has export image from different layer, or there is additional tool can do that?
I prepared 32 pages for a magazine. They are all prepared as single pages in Corel Draw X6. Now I would like to check the end result like it would look if I would hold the magazine in my hands. That means that the following pages should be displayed at once on the screen:

Im trying to cut out the centre of the letter R below. Normally I break curve apart, select the centre, and trim it from the outer. I can then select the centre piece and remove it. As you can see, this has worked with the letters P & O. When I do it with the R it seems to have worked, to the point where I can even select the centre and remove it, but when I put it back over a coloured background, it is still white.

I would like to make the number (1) to be aligned in the center of the box, so I select all and then (Click+C & E) as in the attached file.
I noted that I got the vertical in the center, but I got the left of horizontal a little bigger. I knew that I could get it centered both horizontally and vertically by converting texts to curves. I, however, don't want to convert it to curves because I need to edit the texts.
I'm trying to find a way to do this:
Make an object (eg an hexagon), and resize it from it's center radially, by dragging a node (and not those black squares). What I got so far, is, using the pick tool, clicking on it to go to rotation mode, hold shift and ctrl, clicking on a node (eg, from a point or the middle of a side), and dragging it.
It works IF i change it's angle, but strangely, if I keep the same angle (just resizing it), nothing happens, neither it gets resized, neither i can clone it (with right mouse click). It only keeps a blue shadow of what would be the object, without doing nothing.
What I want to do with this is, for example, create a square and an hexagon inside it, allign one of it nodes with a node of the square, and resize the hexagon by draggin another node of it until it touch (using snap to objects) another side/node of the square. As I said, it can be done if I resize by the rotation, but only if I change the angle, wich is strange for me.
Am I missing something? It's really weird that I can almost do this without problems, but then nothing happens at all. I wish I could show this visually, would be way better to explain the problem.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi'm using corel draw x4 on windows 8. I use the Math-Type Editor in order to create complex formulas with indices, potencies, greek letters and fraction bars.
Unfortunately Corel Draw can't depict some of the symbols for example the small theta "ϑ" or the multiplication sign. Instead of writing them it creates a blank or question marks.
Is there a way to create those symbols in the Math-Type Editor?
I am trying to do a fancy rectangle box 183mm width and 91mm high, in the centre is a clock face 93mm in diameter, and i want to have a nice curve effect as i have tried t to show in the about terrible sketch, making them look like shoulders.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI used polyline to trace a tree trunk. I wanted it to be just a series of line segments which I was going to export to AutoCAD and then to Sketchup. However, each segment I drew said it was a curve. When I exported to AutoCAD it came in as a spline. If I convert that to lines, where I had maybe 10 lines there are now 100.
I also tried to 2 point line tool. I started each new line from the end of the previous. It gave me the same result.
Is there a way for me to end up with just the 10 line segments? No spline. No curve. Just 10 straight lines.
I need to draw a 3D (style) football. The white segments are hexagons and the black are pentagons as in the attached picture. Of course, these won't match up correctly whilst lying flat as a football is round. How do I create the illusion of this? And the shading etc?
