View 5 RepliesIs this possible? Basically, I have a few hundred photos (in RAW format) that I wish to mask then cut/paste on top on another layer in Draw; however, they are all circular and all would be the same size give or take a few hundreds of an inch. This is not a very easy thing to do by eye with the circle mask tool in PhotoPaint.
Perhaps there is another way to do without, masking from PhotoPaint, but I can't think of it.
Just loaded Draw Graphics Sute X5 on a secondary computer running Vista. CDR file shows up correctly in print preview, but bitmap portions of document do not print.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI just installed cdr x5 on a tablet pc (asus slate B121) and I like it very much. But I begin to get frustrated by the Poliline tool.
Since this tool needs you to double click to end a curve I always get curves with added nodes to the ends (it's impossible to do a double-click with a pen without moving the pen between the two clicks.
The only workaround that I found is to move away the pen from the screen far enough so that you can press the space bar to end the curve without extra nodes. But this is really extra gymnastic for your arm... and quite annoying while you try to get the job done in few minutes.
So, is there a way to use the poliline tool without "putting down" the "unclicked" node while pressing the spacebar? Something similar to the freehand tool, but with the ability to draw curve-straight lines consecutively.
I will attach a cdr picture. Nothing wrong with it, until I save it as svgz. I don't get an exact copy of the original. Things are moved. When I save it in version x5, I can save it as a perfect copy to svgz. What is the problem with x6?
View 3 Replies View Relatedhow to create a perfect circle, but how do I create that circle perfectly around a certain point or around the center of my square image (whose coordinates should be 50% of width/50% of height of my square image).
My second question is rather stupid.. Since this program was created to be a substitute for MS Paint and also has .net in the name... but will there ever be a linux version? I firmly believe that PDN would be more than capable competition to gimp.
Does you can fit a row of stars to a circle like you fit text to a path?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI use a wacom Bamboo CTH661 tablet.
When I draw a perfect circle with the tablet, I get an ellipse on the screen, but when if I draw a perfect circle with the circle tool, I get a perfect circle on screen.I hand draw the circle with a round frame, so I'M sure my "handmade" circle is perfect.
Distortion is not very hard, but this mismatch makes sketching harder and I'M not so skilful. I have this problem on both photopaint and Draw x5I. Is there some way or setting on Draw X5 ( and photo paint) to set the tablet and Draw X5 together so I will get what I draw when I sketch ?
I want to add a Tex inside a Circle and I want the text to take the "shape" of the circle. What I mean is that I want the text to bend and fit on the circle.

I would like to add a white highlight to the eye of one of my images like the one in this image......so that it is white in the middle then gently fades to black without having a line around the edge. Been trying to do it but can't get the same effect.
Using the code from "MakeMeACircle" macro. How can I modify it to "InserCircle"? I have it working now but only if the shape is square and aligned to the bottom left of the page. If I move the square anywhere else and run the macro the "Ellipse" is created outside the square and is "squished" instead of a perfect circle.
Who knows maybe there's a macro that already exists to insert a circle inside any shape?
Sub InsertCircle()
Dim sr As New ShapeRange Dim x As Double, y As Double, w As Double, h As Double Dim dLeeway As Double ActiveDocument.Unit = cdrInch If ActiveSelection.Shapes.Count = 0 Then Exit Sub sr.Add ActiveSelection.Group sr(1).GetBoundingBox x, y, w, h 'adjust this property ####################################### dLeeway = 0# 'distance to sides 'adjust this property ####################################### sr.Add ActiveLayer.CreateEllipse(x - dLeeway, y - dLeeway, w + dLeeway * 2, h + dLeeway * 2) With sr(2): .OrderBackOne: .Fill.ApplyNoFill: End With sr.Shapes.All.Ungroup
End Sub
I'm trying to graduate a circle precisely . An example such as a draftsman's compass or a clock face. I create a circle then I make a vertical line which then I copy , space them apart and create a blend between them. I then choose (new path) and select the circle, then (blend along full path) and finally (rotate all objects).
At a quick glance it looks proper but as in the case of a clock face (a graduation every 30 degrees) some of the lines are not precisely radiating from the center of the circle I'm using as the path. In the near future I plan on drawing" to scale' a certain number of meshing gears and this will cause problems.

is there a quick way to fill a circle/ellipse/polygon object with a bitmap image/ photo? I have a bunch of photos i would like to put into these objects and would like to have them filled/fitted into the objects and clipped by the outer extent. I guess a picture fill of some sort? Or a mask?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm laying out cribbage board designs for export to .dxf. I've drawn the board holes as circles but for the dxf file what I really need is a Single Point at the center of each circle.
So, is it possible to make single points in CorelDraw X4? If so, is there a way I can put a single point in the center of 300 holes at once?
I am desperately looking for the function in Coreldraw that allows me to cut one object based on the intersection of another object. Essentially I am looking for the "Trim" function that exists in Autocad.
Example... draw a circle...then draw a line that crosses the center of the circle. I want to be able to remove the bottom half of the circle below the intersection line.
draw and long narrow ellipse...then draw a circle on top of the ellipse I want to remove the ends of the ellipse outside circle..In autocad this takes exactly 3 keystrokes and less than 2 seconds...I have tried everything in Coreldraw and cannot find away to make this happen...
Is it possible to create my own docker in VBA? I found some examples using Visual Studio.

in coreldraw x5 create boundary is not available. do any body knows about it..
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo, I understand the Boundary feature. However, I was wondering if there is a way to have the Boundary trace the inner detail?
Example. I want to create a boundary of the doughnut hole; not the outside of the doughnut.
I'm interested in creating some variations in font sets or new font sets altogether. My fading recollection is that some of the earlier versions of DRAW may have had that option as a utility. I know that we had it here at some point, although it could possibly have been in the PageMaker package..

I need to outline this, and really don't want to have to trace the whole thing. What I have been doing with the rest of this persons design is duplicating it, getting just an outline by getting rid of whatever isn't needed. Making it a wide outline and then doing create outline to object, getting rid of extra inner lines, and then I have the outline (cut line) that I need. The computer is saying that this one is too much for it to do that.
I have to make it a tiny jpg in order to upload here. The original is made out of MANY lines, but I have a vectorized outline that fits it, but not an outline that is like 1/8 or 3/16 inches all the way around it. It is being cut out to go on vehicle doors, trailers, etc. The details are way too small to have it cut right up to it.
I am trying to figure out how to create carved out lettering like in the bottom portion of this message, the "to view..." text.

Can this be achieved in CorelDraw? I just bought X6.
How do I create a hyperlinked text in CD X6? I have attempted:
Select the text with the Text Tool
Open the Links and Bookmarks docker
Select the New Link button
Select File as the Link Type
Browse to the file
When I click away from the text to unselect it the file I browsed to disappears. I am attempting to link to a htm file.
Here's another video that shows how to make a box around a shape.

I've read that images for iPad are different.
I have a logo on my webpage (PNG, 190x60 pixels). The image looks okay in Chrome (desktop pc) but not on an iPad. It looks blurred.
