AutoCAD Inventor :: Add A Radius In A Corner And Its Not Cooperating
Apr 12, 2012Trying to add a radius in a corner and its not cooperating. Take a look at this image. Notice how the one radius curves around the part, but the other one does not? I know these two look different because they are different sizes. I would like to get the 1in radius to go straight across like the R3/4, but it will not do it. I've tried the options under the chevron, but nothing gives me what I want.

i.e. I have two lines: one is horizontal, and in this case the other is at 45 degrees, and at the point where the join I want to create an exact radius. So that one line curves into the other, following an exact arc.

Feb 21, 2012I'm grading this pad site from EL.215 to EL213 at a 2:1 slope. I use "grade to elevation" but I don't want the corner to fillet. I need the grading to fill in to the retaining wall (red line). I tried using infill but I can't get the fill slope display to show up.

Nov 3, 2011i've been using xara pgd for a few months now and absolutely love it. massive jump up from my old program which was very limiting (graphic design is a hobby / business necessity, not my full time gig).
so my first question to you good peeps: i've been trying to "bend" text to follow a radius using 'fit to curve' ... this has been problematic as the text wants to align itself at the end of the curve rather than the middle.
is there another way to bend text to a specified radius?

As the R is positively related to V according to the equation (attached), then I expect that the C3D changes R value as the value of V is changed.
For example, on the attached screenshots, the R value of horizontal alignment is built based on a design speed of 100km/hr. Now if the speed is changed to 50km/hr, then why the value of R is not automatically changed to be compatible with the new speed?

Jan 21, 2013What I do not like is that I draw a rectangle and then add the radius corners and it is fine.
If I then drag the box taller or wider the radius of the corner changes too. But also I have noticed that it does this even if you drag the box to size first then add the radius corners.
example: I make up a rectangle and add start adding text. Then I have to make the box bigger so I do that, finish adding my text. Now go to add in the radius corner and they are all skewed out of shape. This seems to be because I have dragged that rectangle bigger that what it was when I first dragged it into place.
Is there a way around this so that I can make my rectangle say 250 wide by 50 tall. Then later on change it's size and add radius corners and make it so the corners are all even and not all out of proportions?

Mar 15, 2013I like my coreldraw x4. This sign shop actually has a copy of x5 but it was so so so so awful that we had to take it off of the computer.
I am having more and more problems opening pdf's. I end up with a rectangle with a line across the corner. I'm assuming the people sending have newer adobe than what x4 can handle? I can open the pdf;s in adobe reader but only give option to save as pdf. I just looked and it says PDF VISTA . Is there a way to save them as an older one? Kind of how corel draw can be saved as an older version?
And for some odd reason, on one of the computers (the one that has the email that these pdf's come from) doesn't show them with the pdf icon on the desktop. It has the green corel draw icon instead.

Jul 28, 2011So we have three computers hooked up here, all running off a main terabyte drive where all the fonts are stored. Bitstream, X3, and X5 are on all the computers. Bitstream works on 2 out of the 3, but on this one when I go to the drop down list in the Font Navigator I only get the option for the Local C and DVD drive. I can log on to the "Network" version of the terabyte drive, but once I get in it asks me for a password when the drive has not set up to be password protected. I have installed service pack 1 and 2 for X3 + the Bitstream patch. I'm running Windows 7.
