I want to make a curve label with all its elements (radius,tangent...) and the data of widenning and superelevation on the curve?. I attached the label that I want to create on C3D.

I need to lable the delta of a PI in an alignment where one segment is an arc and the following is a non-tangent line.
Geometry points don't offer delta and Tangent Intersections won't label at PCs and PTs.
Is there an expression that can be used?
I have a long (2+ mile) alignment that has many "tangent intersection labels" which have station and delta angles. I need to create a table that lists the stationing and the deltas. How I can get this info. I have tried pipe networks and alignment tables w/o success.

I created my main corridor which is a 4 lane arterial with ditching on both sides targeted to my prelim surface. On my main corridor i have several intersections and approaches which i created intersections for and set the targets so they are correct, i also created secondary roads for all intersections. Now that it is visually correct there is a few things i would like to do.
1) Combine all intersections to my main corridor and create surface for adjusted volumes.
2) Raise combined corridor and intersections to adjust cuts / fills so that all attached intersection and adjacent corridors adjust with the main corridor.
Do i have to go to my main corridor profile and move each curve and tangent separately, then check all other profiles and intersection to insure everything has been adjusted?
I received a drawing where I have to add Bearings to an alignment and Right-of-Way lines. I have a Line Label Style that it works for that purpose. These new bearings are "Alignment Tangent Labels" and we need them to be "MTexts"
Select & explode once, and you get "Block Reference"
Select & explode again, and you get "MText"
Once that is done, unfortunatly, I get "3D Faces" objects in the background. Invisible on the drawing, but visible on paper once we plot them. The only way to remove them is by selecting around the new MText until I click on one, then, right-click, Select simnilar, Delete!
Is there any way to prevent that to speed up the process???
minimum turning radius of cat 777f at 30km/hr? need to figure out the horizontal curves to use for this.we have been using 60 to 100m curves but i think it maybe smaller. small curves works with these steep terrain.

The association between design speed (V) and radius of circular curve (R),
As the R is positively related to V according to the equation (attached), then I expect that the C3D changes R value as the value of V is changed.
For example, on the attached screenshots, the R value of horizontal alignment is built based on a design speed of 100km/hr. Now if the speed is changed to 50km/hr, then why the value of R is not automatically changed to be compatible with the new speed?
I need to draw an arc that starts at a specific point, ends tangent to another line, and has a specified radius. What's the best way to do this?

how to label a curve by points in C3D? I'm finding half of the new "fix" (line by points).

My curve labels keep skipping. Why do they keep skipping from C6 to C9? I know how to use the renumber tags command. It just keeps skipping C7 and C8 for no apparent reason. There are no tags on frozen or off layers. When I add all possible objects to my curve table it does not change.

How to label the curve with its degree of curvature (Da)?
Degree of curvature (Da) can be calculated based on two different ways
Arc definition (considering 30 meters arc length):
Da=1719.74/R
Chord definition (considering 30 meters chord length):
Da=ASIN(50/Radius)*2
The issue here is that there is not built in option to label the curve with its degree of curvature.

I have an alignment that is line and curve tagged for a table. The last segment of the alignment is a 3 point curve. It shows up in the alignment grid view, and is tagged. When the table is produced the everthing comes in except the 3 point curve I mentioned.

We are upgrading from LDD2008 to Civil3D 2013. I'm working on a Civil3D template
I'm setting up line and curve label style. Oringally we were going to have one set of line label style. Ex. Bearing Above or Bearing Below. After seeing that the line labels does not look at the current text style we decided to make copies of the original label styles based on Text Styles.So now I have Bearing Above60, Bearing Above100, etc. I named them based on the Leroy styles and sizes.
After editing each one and changing the Text Style each one looks at, it is not using the Texting Style i assign it. I'm doing this in the General Tab and Text Style for each label style.
i guess I should have tested before creating all them to find out it didn't work.Does it need to be done somewhere else or is do I have to do something with the overall label style overrides?
I'm using civil 3d 2008 and trying to lable my pavement radius with Line and Curve Label but the delta setting is only in decimal, how do i get it to read degrees, minutes and seconds.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have come up with a parabolic curve from a 'Sag Chart' program for calculating wire sag between Utility Poles. I now need to place this curve into my Profile that has the poles laid out in it. I need to make the curve Tangent at each attachment point between two poles. The best I can do as of now is eyeball it in there which will get me the sag distance pretty closly but as any Autocad user knows if it isnt exactly aligned it will drive you nuts. I made a rough sketch of what im trying to do.

Is there a way to make a label in model space for an assembly's name? To keep track of which assembly is which, I have been creating a MTEXT object and just type it in below my assembly. so my first question to you good peeps: i've been trying to "bend" text to follow a radius using 'fit to curve' ... this has been problematic as the text wants to align itself at the end of the curve rather than the middle.
is there another way to bend text to a specified radius?
i want to create a sketch line for a sweep where the radius of the curve varies.. i don't want to use a spline or piece together arcs.. something about distance and radius along the line.. is there a formula and can this be done in revit?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have ran an analysis and SSA gave me Error 607 on the report. It says "Inlet A9 gutter capture curve is not a valid curve."
A couple things I did different from the video lectures...
I selected user define for the Tc to figure out Q. i computed those manually.
For the Inlets I have selected Maximum Capture Cutoff.
There are some inlets in this model I created that do not capture 100% of the flow so i created conveyance links to account for the bypass flow.Not sure why is not recognizing the Curve?
The label associated to a grading point when is moved when is moved changes its size automatically and a leader appears. After this happen no control over the grading point and its associate label. refer to the image below.
