CorelDRAW X4 :: Crashed While Editing Text?
Dec 14, 2012Corel Draw X4 crashed while I was editing text but a box came up and asked if I wanted to save the file before I closed. I ofcourse said yes but I can't find the file anywhere.

Lightroom :: 5 Crashed While Editing Image?
Jul 16, 2013Lightroom 5 has crashed while I was editing an image, and produced a pop up menu advising Lightroom 64 bit has stopped working and the only option is to close the program. This has never happened before and occured today after I upgraded Flashplayer.

Sep 18, 2013I have a user using X4 on Win7 which on the most part, works well without any hassle.
Recently however they have been experiencing issues where the program will hang endlessly whenever they go to edit any text within a file.
The program has the latest updates, and is excluded from on access AV scanning so there shouldn't be any locked file issues.
I've also rolled back the latest Windows Updates just in case but to no avail.
CorelDRAW X5 :: Editing Text In Object?
Aug 17, 2011i have this drawing that a friend made of this certificate. when i click (with the PICK TOOL) on the text that i want to edit it shows Black Box's in the corner (4 of them) around the entire section of that text. my question is how can i edit just one line of that text . i saw them do it at the shop where they made the certificate but they where not using X5.
when i click with the PICK TOOL but then when i try to select the text tool it just wants to make new text on a new layer.
CorelDRAW X6 :: Leaving Editing Text
Nov 25, 2013I was wondering if there's a command to leave editing text. I like using keyboard commands to work faster but whenever I'm editing any text and want to change to another tool, I have to go and click the tool in the toolbar. I can't use commands when editing text since It will just write the letter instead of activating the tool. Is there a way to do this?

Mar 8, 2011I've recently upgraded to X5 and now have a problem with text moving when editing.
As you can see in the image below, the text moves down and to the right and in this case making the red spell check line cut through the text.
Also, on another note - I've just noticed that the character spacing now seems to affect the whole text box, whereas before it would to it per paragraph. Does this mean all my older files will need to be edited to display right in X5?

The window for editing won't go all the way down. I have tried expanding the window and when I am
expanding it, I can see the bottom line of text but when I let go of the corner it reverts back to showing everything but the bottom line.
CorelDRAW X6 :: Editing Text Off A PDF Image File
Jun 5, 2013I have been given the source pdf image file for a product label by a designer, so I can edit things myself.
I am able to remove the text, move things around on the pdf image using Corel Draw, but I want to edit the actual customised text to name it differently, in the exact same style as previously used by the designer.
E.g. it currently says "Green Tea", but I want it to say "Coffee".
Is there a way to do this at all using any of the tools?

I have tried to do the tricks, I googled, like resetting to factory, editing the xml file and running as administrator. Nothing works. It is when I edit any font, and in a new document also. AND update of CDR X4 with service pack 2 did not work.
CorelDRAW X6 :: Slow (Paragraph / Artistic) Text Content Editing
Apr 20, 2012Coreldraw X6 seems to be much much slower when editing text content.
When I work on a product brochure with a lot of text involved, CorelDraw become very low responsive when I edit the text e.g. select, move, typing, etc etc. It happens to both paragraph text and artistic text.
Btw I'm running X6 on an old XP machine.

May 24, 2013I really got used to the short cut of editing text pressing ctrl+left SHIFT + t , this brings me right into the
text box where I am able to quickly access all the text features, now since last update every time I make a text change in that window my text drops one line down and even though I will hit the cursor to front and back space it bringing it right to top when I hit OK it still drops my text one line down, this has become very annoying...
I love this feature but I am unable to bring it back to its original functional way. I did reinstalled corel , and yes I did reset the application still the same thing is happening.

Apr 8, 2013Whenever I edit text in the pop-up dialog, there is usually an extra line inserted at the top of the text (a blank first line). I can't get rid of this extra line through the pop-up edit window, I can only delete it using the text tool directly on the page. This only started with the latest update.

May 3, 2011My hard drive crashed so I lost a lot of my CDR work. I was able to get some back in the form of JPG. These were files that I drew in Corel and Exported as JPG. Is there anyway I can get them back into Vector without re drawing? I figured there had to be a way since they were originally drawn in Corel.

Apr 25, 2011I have a major problem with PhotoPaint X5 after SP2. I have an image of a movie poster from internet. Let's say about 1000x1500 pixels. I make the width 300 px. (height will be 440 or more) Than I make a new document of 300x430 pixels. Copy and paste the first file into the second. Move it up and/or down with the arrow keys to have a good composition. Than I combine the image with the background (shift/control/arrow down) and save it to rest.jpg. When I want to close the original image in CorelPaint I get the Corel A.R.M. window. I tried a few times without combining the image to the background and than I CAN close the file without crashing PP. I'm glad I found a workaround since I do these actions quit a lot for my movie and music database. But it took a lot a time to figure out where it went wrong. So according to my tests it must have something to do with combining the image to the background. Sometime when nudging the image a couple of times up and down crashses PP too when I then combine the image and background. At that point i don't come a far as exporting.

Photoshop :: How To Stop Text Layer From Turning Black While Editing Text

Restart of file and PS didn't resolve the issue
Creating Smart Object didn't resolve issue
When attempting to add simple text on an individual layer, the layer is turning black. This prevents me from seeing the text I'm editing. When I move to another layer the text displays correctly. When I go to edit the text by clicking the image the layer goes black again. It is like editing text in the dark, turning the light on to see the changes, turning the light off to make the changes, repeat.

Editing the layer with the text tool will discard these modifications. You can edit the layer or create a new text layer from its text attributes."
with 3 options, Create New layer, Cancel, and Edit however, no matter what I click, it doesn't let me create new text anywhere.ALSO, it seems to jump from the layer i selected to another layer whenever I click "EDIT."
What is weird is that I was able to create new text prior to this, but not anymore. it's gimp 2.8.0

CorelDRAW X5 :: Editing Of Custom Palettes
Sep 12, 2013I am trying to edit a custom palette externally and have successfully done it in the past but now Draw is "breaking" my new palette.
I created a new palette within Corel Draw and added a single color. This is to create the XML file and generate a unique GUID. I can open and the close this palette with no issues. I can add colors via Draw with no issues. I then close Draw. I then open the file with a text editor (NotePad) and add the code for my new colors (pulled from a spread sheet). My code matches the code in the Draw-generated palette color. It also matches the code from another palette I successfully created over a year ago. The file saves just fine and can be reopened in the text editor. I then reopen Draw but my palette name is no longer in the palette list. Then if I manually try and add the palette by opening it, it opens but strips all colors. Then if I open the XML file with the text editor, the GUID is now all zeros and all colors have been stripped from the file. I have tried rebuilding the workspace and rebooting the PC but neither option seems to work.
PS here is a sample line of code for one of the colors I am trying to add.

Jul 28, 2006i'm trying to follow this tutorial on how to make ice Text. Right in the beginning of the turtorial it asks me to create a new document so big...blah blah. It tells me to use the type tool to add some text. And then press ok and cut the text, then paste the text to automatically center it. Thats just it...it wont let me cut the text.
