Running on WinXP SP3 / AutoCAD 2012 LT.
Whenever I use MTEXT or DLI, I can't edit the text box that is created without it crashing AutoCAD. Not sure if this would happen with other commands, but it seems to be linked to editing the text blocks.
Corel Draw X4 crashed while I was editing text but a box came up and asked if I wanted to save the file before I closed. I ofcourse said yes but I can't find the file anywhere.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am working on Inventor 12, previously Inventor 10 and recently (approx 4 months ago while I was still on Inventor 10), all of a sudden, if I tried to open a drawing where components had been deleted for example, it would not try and resolve the links, just straight crash the program.

Home and work computers act differently when I initiate the dimension text edit command. One moves both the text and the dimension lines and the other only moves the text. It doesn't appear to be the dimstyle so I am wondering if it is a setvar.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis morning I opened AutoCad LT 2005 and was going to print a map with multiple layers. Everytime I tried to open the layers tool AutoCad LT 2005 would lock up. I would go to the task manager and it showed that it was still running but I could not do anything in the program. I closed Autocad LT from the task manager and opened up a blank document and tried to view layers and it locked up once again. I re-installed AutoCad LT 2005 from original disk and still I have the same behavior.

One of my users got this error in a drawing with about 8-10 fairly complex grading objects in it. I had told him not to leave them as grading objects but he was convinced he could make it work.

When I attempt to load xref the dialogue for file attachment does not appear. This has only started happening the past day or so. The same applies to image files etc.

When I open the templates in Photoshop 7 do I have to choose 300 dpi (the same dpi required for the images I have saved); make all the same choices as I have to for the images, (ie) CYMK, 5x5 inches, 300 dpi etc.? When I have the template open, what is the best way to bring the image to the template?
Is the template considered a layer? Do you always see the template through the image as you are working with layers? What is the easiest way to start another layer? How do you save each layer? How do I make my jpg become a photoshop file? Some of these Qs might be dumb but if you can answer them I may be able to fly.
try with animation between photoshop/imageready, so I made a button for a friend's website.
Now, a question, Is there a way to stroke the image so it can have a border, without editing 31 frames individually?

I have a family photo including many text layers. I'm trying to edit the text in a selected large multi-line text layer. I'm following the steps from the appropriate PSE article, but I always end up creating a new layer and the red/green no-go/go option. I thought I should just be able to double-click the text layer and start editing.
Is there a way to export text from InDesign to Photoshop and preserve the type as editable text in an area text box, similar to the export to PSD in Illustrator? Designed many web site pages in InDesign, and now need to covert all pages over to Photoshop quickly.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having this strange issue with the Photoshop type tool in Photoshop CS5. It might be, although I'm not sure, a bug. The tool itself is working and lets me add text and edit. But the box that shows up when editing text (and the blinking line that shows where I am in the text) - has gone invisible. I am having this issue in only one document. - I tested the type tool on other documents, and everything was normal. I've looked up shotcuts and hotkeys to check if I've tapped a key or something, but it doesn't appear to be so.
Now about the document; it does have quite the amount of text layers, and a lot of text in them. I've tried resetting the type tool, and I've restarted the program.
When I restart the program, the tool works as it's supposed to - but after editing or adding a new text layer, the editing area is gone again! Is this a bug, or have I touched keys that do odd things?
Is it possible to lock a text box to prevent it from moving but still be able to input & edit text?I want to make a drawing template in CorelDraw x6 using text boxes for "non Corel friendly" people to use but need the actual text boxes to stay in the same place all the time!?

When I click the titleblock, all the nodes show up beside the text etc, but double clicking etc does nothing. All I get when I click it is the nodes and the little menu in the top left that says 'Properties', 'Object Viewer', and 'Isolate Object'...

When I try to export a fairly large number (about 60) images as JPG, I get an error message "attempt to index a nil value" and some images do not export. When I view the images in the library and export them individually, the export works. So I conclude that the images are not corrupt, but that there is a bug in the software.

When open a DWG file in Autocad 2013
I am clicking on a layer in GIMP, and when I click on the text tool, this dialog pops up "CONFIRM TEXT EDITING" "the layer you selected is a text layer but it has been modified using other tools. Editing the layer with the text tool will discard these modifications. You can edit the layer or create a new text layer from its text attributes."
with 3 options, Create New layer, Cancel, and Edit however, no matter what I click, it doesn't let me create new text anywhere.ALSO, it seems to jump from the layer i selected to another layer whenever I click "EDIT."
What is weird is that I was able to create new text prior to this, but not anymore. it's gimp 2.8.0
How can I go back and edit text? I tried going back and editing the text I had, but the entire text disappeared.
I'm using a text effect, I need to edit the text itself while still maintaining the effect.
I don't want to start over and repeat the lengthy process of making the same effect again with new text.
My IT have just upgraded my pc system means to reinstalled my 2008LT. now i cannot edit my text. the MText bar will appear on my top left corner and best .

The same goes for each line item I have for my text note. For example, if I have 5 lines of text notes, I want to be able to put for example a triangle around 1 thru 5 line items.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI open RAW pictures from my Canon 5D (but same happens with pictures from Canon 10D) in PS and than try to save them as JPGs, I loose majority of my metadata from the files (after right click on filename in. I can still Windows Explorer and clicking Properties or simply adding additional columns in Win XP Windows Explorer detailed view.So same picture, without any editing at all, just opened as RAW file (which it is a CR2 or CRW file in Canons), and then saved as JPG, suddenly does not show the date of picture taken, focal length or exposure time are all gone. Does not matter if I try Properties in Win Explorer or say Properties in MS Office Picture Manager.Was trying to look for any setting in PS that would set the ability to save or abandon saving of this type of information in JPG file but could not find anything of this kind.What is interesting I went back to my pictures I have saved from RAW to JPG using same PS years ago, and I this was not a problem. Everything was saving OK.So in summary:1. This would not be a problem related to camera (it is unlikely that same problem would occur on two different models at the same time - even though both are Canons)2. It must be a way to force the Photoshop to do that, I f I was able to do it successfully, almost without knowing, before.Therefore, I would think that either:1. There is some set of defaults somewhere in PS that I have accidently turned off causing my PS not to save this metadata properly or in full, or2. That it came as some kind of bug with some of the updates to PS CS3 that I was getting over last year from Adobe.
