I have recently upgraded to Lightroom 5. When I try to export a fairly large number (about 60) images as JPG, I get an error message "attempt to index a nil value" and some images do not export. When I view the images in the library and export them individually, the export works. So I conclude that the images are not corrupt, but that there is a bug in the software.
I am getting an application error (0xc000007b) when I attempt to start LR4. I have uninstalled and reinstalled application with same result. what is happening and how I can get it up and running again?
I recently began using lightroom and stored the files on the local drive of my macbook pro (current os) until I ran out of space. Exported the catalogue to an external HD, then deleted the files from the local drive. As I tried to import the .lrcat file associated with the export to the external HD and received this error: Â "Can not import from this catalog at this time. The catalog is either in use by another copy of Lightroom or was closed improperly. If it was closed improperly, please consider doing an integrity check when opening." Â I am not running LR on any other computers so I figure Lightroom was "closed improperly".
I get, on attempt to go into extensions.Could not complete the Manage Extensions command because Photoshop was unable to find the JavaScript plug-in.Also some components of PS CC and InCopy could not be updated successfully.
It appears when we attempt to open the file then C3D crashes.
Modeling Operation error: Attempt to evaluate a plane with zero normal.
One of my users got this error in a drawing with about 8-10 fairly complex grading objects in it. I had told him not to leave them as grading objects but he was convinced he could make it work.

When it's time to print and save contact / index sheets, Lightroom enters another dimension. Â Workflow as normal up to this point: Import (with 1:1 previews) a folder of NEF+JPGs, maybe a hundred or two. Edit, rename and export. Enter the Print module and setup (for the thousandth time) a contact sheet showing maybe 30-50 pics per page. Â Select "Draft Mode Printing" and hit PRINT and sit. The "preparing print job" progress bar appears and starts to tick off images, at about 10 seconds apiece. In LR2 this *entire process* took 1-2 seconds. So, an hour and a half later, my contact sheets are ready. I could hand-draw them faster. Â It does it in LR3, LR3.2 and LR 3.3. It *never* did it in LR1-2.7. I am going to try a cd layout. When I open the templates in Photoshop 7 do I have to choose 300 dpi (the same dpi required for the images I have saved); make all the same choices as I have to for the images, (ie) CYMK, 5x5 inches, 300 dpi etc.? When I have the template open, what is the best way to bring the image to the template?
Is the template considered a layer? Do you always see the template through the image as you are working with layers? What is the easiest way to start another layer? How do you save each layer? How do I make my jpg become a photoshop file? Some of these Qs might be dumb but if you can answer them I may be able to fly.
I am working on Inventor 12, previously Inventor 10 and recently (approx 4 months ago while I was still on Inventor 10), all of a sudden, if I tried to open a drawing where components had been deleted for example, it would not try and resolve the links, just straight crash the program.

Whenever I use MTEXT or DLI, I can't edit the text box that is created without it crashing AutoCAD. Not sure if this would happen with other commands, but it seems to be linked to editing the text blocks.
I open RAW pictures from my Canon 5D (but same happens with pictures from Canon 10D) in PS and than try to save them as JPGs, I loose majority of my metadata from the files (after right click on filename in. I can still Windows Explorer and clicking Properties or simply adding additional columns in Win XP Windows Explorer detailed view.So same picture, without any editing at all, just opened as RAW file (which it is a CR2 or CRW file in Canons), and then saved as JPG, suddenly does not show the date of picture taken, focal length or exposure time are all gone. Does not matter if I try Properties in Win Explorer or say Properties in MS Office Picture Manager. Was trying to look for any setting in PS that would set the ability to save or abandon saving of this type of information in JPG file but could not find anything of this kind. What is interesting I went back to my pictures I have saved from RAW to JPG using same PS years ago, and I this was not a problem. Everything was saving OK.So in summary:1. This would not be a problem related to camera (it is unlikely that same problem would occur on two different models at the same time - even though both are Canons)2. It must be a way to force the Photoshop to do that, I f I was able to do it successfully, almost without knowing, before. Therefore, I would think that either:1. There is some set of defaults somewhere in PS that I have accidently turned off causing my PS not to save this metadata properly or in full, or2. That it came as some kind of bug with some of the updates to PS CS3 that I was getting over last year from Adobe.
This morning I opened AutoCad LT 2005 and was going to print a map with multiple layers. Everytime I tried to open the layers tool AutoCad LT 2005 would lock up. I would go to the task manager and it showed that it was still running but I could not do anything in the program. I closed Autocad LT from the task manager and opened up a blank document and tried to view layers and it locked up once again. I re-installed AutoCad LT 2005 from original disk and still I have the same behavior.Â
I have version 11 of PSE and it has been operating great with one exception. Whenever I attempt to do a full back-up it goes through the regular process including reconnecting missing data but then at the end when it should start backing-up it stops responding.
Everytime I try to run the program I get an error message saying "Attempt to access invalid address". I am using Windows 7 64bit. Â I have unistalled and reinstalled PSE5.02 Unistalled Google Chrome Set antivirus to silent/gaming mode Ran as administrator Ran in compatitibly mode, Windows XP service pack2 Â I really need this working, I need to use it for a project thats due Monday!!
This happens repeatedly as I open the program and attempt to open a file. The "open file" dialog box flashes for a split second then disappears and the Photoshop program freezes up.
my adobe photoshop cs came with my laptop so i didnt have to install it or anything.. but now when i try starting the program error messages come up and the program shuts down

After installing and opening PS6 I get 'Runtime Error! R6034 An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library (Win7 64bit)'Clicking on this it will come back seven times, after which PS6 starts. I've tried the following:  Checked all my updates Checked for viruses and malware Run CCClean and SysMechanic Uninstall PS6 Reboot Run Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Restart Install CS6 Install updates  No change! I've also reinstalled the MS runtime library, tried to start in safe mode, all to no avail.
When I attempt to load xref the dialogue for file attachment does not appear. This has only started happening the past day or so. The same applies to image files etc.
How does one index the documents in the documentmanger collection? The intent is to cycle through the open documents one by one in a forwards or backwards direction. The specific function I want to create would take a direction argument, 1 or -1, and would switch the active document to the "next" or the "previous" document. how the documentmanager collection works.
using Windows, I cannot get the "Swatch after Index color" percentage color ratios information. Is this exclusively a Mac photoshop bonus?? ... This is exactly what I'm looking for ... a precise method to mix pigments. Thanks a million for any help. My goal was to sample a color and come up with a general recipe for a color mixture using traditional artist pigments. This is what I've done so far...1. Create a swatch set that represents my paint palette2. Sample the color I want to separate3. Fill a 10 pixel by 10 pixel doc with the sample color4. Convert to Index Color using my paint palette5. Each pixel represents 1% of a paint color It's very tedious but it's all I can come up with
I create lots of layout tabs with long (ish) names. To save scrolling through the tabs using the arrow buttons to select the one I want, is there a way to generate an index tab so all tabs are listed on it and can be selected from that "index" Tab/list?
