Running PSE 9 under Mac Snow Leopard.
I have a family photo including many text layers. I'm trying to edit the text in a selected large multi-line text layer. I'm following the steps from the appropriate PSE article, but I always end up creating a new layer and the red/green no-go/go option. I thought I should just be able to double-click the text layer and start editing.
I have a situation where I'm adding some text and want to identify the part with a part#. For example Item 1, I want to add a circle to the number one for it to stand out on my text notes.
The same goes for each line item I have for my text note. For example, if I have 5 lines of text notes, I want to be able to put for example a triangle around 1 thru 5 line items.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently noticed that my multiline text boxes in old drawings have been splitting themselves into multiple multiline text boxes. They aren't exploding into single line text because it won't let me use the convert command to turn them into multiline because they are already multiline.
I know the dimassoc command can be set to a certain value to cause all dimensions to explode but is there some kind of command that could have change itself and is causing this problem?
I can create a text box using the edit panel but no text will appear in the box. the pointer or curser won't appear in the box. I was able to insert text the first time I used Elements 10 but not anymore.

Text nexer is visible on the photo Background image. If the edited image is saved, the added typed text is not saved; only the original Background image. The text is a bit hard to read, so I want to change the font, etc. However, I am not able to edit the text in Encore or Photoshop. I tried to recreate a new page and copied the same text, but this is how it pasted. I am not able to word wrap it or get it to appear as the original. What am I doing wrong? I have not rasterized anything. Not sure if it's point text or paragraph at this point.

View 1 Replies View Relatedtrying to copy txt from an outside text editor and pasting them into an open, editable text layer in my workspace. The problem is that I can COPY the text fine, but when I click over to PS to paste it into the open editable text layer it either pastes the previous text from my clipboard OR it won't paste anything at all. I can then go into any other text field on a browser, spreadsheet document, a different text editor, notepad, etc and successfully paste the proper batch of text I wanted to paste into PS. Sometimes I have some rather large files open 50+megs when I notice this happen. I have to save my work and close out entirely of PS and then open it again before I can begin editing my original document again and successfully paste the text into the open editable text layer. This may last for a few COPY/PASTE sessions of additional text in additional text layers, but then begins displaying the symptoms I described above.
I am on Win7 on an AlienWare M17XR3 laptop with 16G RAM and AMD Radeon HD 6900M Series display adapter.I assume it's either in my PS performance settings which I have PS using 10413MB RAM and has over 350G scratch disk space. If it's not that I guess my laptop system performance settings which I've never tinkered with since I purchased it.
I cannot go back and edit a text layer. There appears to be no way to re-edit text once you move off of the text area during it's creation. Am I missing something? Is there a great plugin to fix this deficit?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI use AutoCAD 2008 LT. I have a problem when trying to use multiline text. The text box will only allow me to write vertically, but when the text is completed, by left clicking on a grip and changing the rotation angle to 0 degrees, it reads horizontally. However, if I try to amend it, vertical text is the result. I do not have this problem with single line text. Whilst it is possible to read vertically, it is time wasting.

I think there was even an express tool in previous versions of CAD to do this. I am in 2011 now, and I can not find a command for this. I would even settle for simply changing single line to multiline without adding multiple strings.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis has been happening intermittently but now seems to be permanent. When I slect the Multiline tool, click to place the text box, then click to place the other corner the box ignores the size I set and snaps to as wide as the screen and one line high. It does this in several different drawings so it is not native to one. If I enter text and deselect I can adjust the handles and alter the text.
I have attached a screen shot to show. It doesn't matter how close or far I am zoomed in on the drawing.
For what it's worth I do not like the way the ribbon panel controls handle text, it usually takes multiple tries to get it to change the text height. I usually resort to using the Properties flyout but that adds mutltple steps to the process.
How to combine more than multiline text in one?

I am using a multiple line attribute. I insert the block, fill in the text, and adjust the width of the multi-lines text so the lines are longer and there are fewer of them. I save and close the file, then re-open some time later and the width of the multli-ine attribute has reverted back to a different width (shoter) - I am assuming it is the default width that I set to the attribute. Is there a setting to stop this from happening? Is there something I should do when I create the attirbute?

When I have a text layer selected with the type tool active, the font size reads correctly (say, 40px). When I actually select the text with the type tool, the font size gives a strange number (say, 38.74px).

After installing the 2013LT application the Multiline Text Function worked fine, however, now it will not function at all. "Cannot find Shell Program"--is what displays at the Command Line when attempting to create a text box in a file.
