Processor: AMD A6-5400K APU (with Radeon HD Graphics) - 3.60 GHz RAM: 8.00 GB System: 64-bit OS: Windows 8 Version: AutoCAD 2004 LT Second, what we do.
Commercial MEP design. Project in mention is a 65,000 sq.ft. Italian food market.
Third, the problem.I am experiencing a selection and double click editing problem with AutoCAD 2012LT & AutoCAD 2014LT. On Friday, June 28th we recieved updated (not new) backgrounds from a lighting designer for two floors of the building whose MEP system we are engineering. The second floor had no problems really; we reset some annotation scales and the updated backgrounds plugged right in. The first floor, however, was so messed up that we copied and pasted the track lights and all else into our file directly (vs. xref'ing) and instantly, after a save, it is impossible to evoke any kind of edit with double click. In order for us to modify anything, we have to type the command before editing. So if I want to DDEDIT, I have to type that in before changing the text. If I do select the text first than CAD freezes, takes a huge dump, wipes for 5 minutes, and then the text editor appears. This problem is ubiquitous with all 2012 LT machines and up. AutoCAD 2005 LT has no problem (lmfao).
i have this drawing that a friend made of this certificate. when i click (with the PICK TOOL) on the text that i want to edit it shows Black Box's in the corner (4 of them) around the entire section of that text. my question is how can i edit just one line of that text . i saw them do it at the shop where they made the certificate but they where not using X5.
when i click with the PICK TOOL but then when i try to select the text tool it just wants to make new text on a new layer.
Corel Draw X4 crashed while I was editing text but a box came up and asked if I wanted to save the file before I closed. I ofcourse said yes but I can't find the file anywhere.
I was wondering if there's a command to leave editing text. I like using keyboard commands to work faster but whenever I'm editing any text and want to change to another tool, I have to go and click the tool in the toolbar. I can't use commands when editing text since It will just write the letter instead of activating the tool. Is there a way to do this?
I've recently upgraded to X5 and now have a problem with text moving when editing.
As you can see in the image below, the text moves down and to the right and in this case making the red spell check line cut through the text.
Also, on another note - I've just noticed that the character spacing now seems to affect the whole text box, whereas before it would to it per paragraph. Does this mean all my older files will need to be edited to display right in X5?
I'm running CS3PRO - WIN XPsp2 on a Dell6400 - 2G Ram and lots of disk space. I've got all the latest patches for XP & CS3. I open a 20kb jpg image. Select the text tool, draw and area then the screen blinks, all the menues are gone and I get the not responding message. I've tried closing all other apps including anti virus and firwalls. Anyone else have this issue and/or know of a fix? Not sure if it happens in other CS3 Apps? I really on ly use DW and PS. still learning all the other stuff. Don't really know anything about video/graphic cards but I ordered the Dell with CS3 Installed so I assume it's suppose to work?
Recently when completing a project, instead of being able to just click and write text or click on and edit existing text, a 'edit text' pop up box appears. i have looked at the setting and i cant seem to work out what i have done and how to correct this?
I have been given the source pdf image file for a product label by a designer, so I can edit things myself.
I am able to remove the text, move things around on the pdf image using Corel Draw, but I want to edit the actual customised text to name it differently, in the exact same style as previously used by the designer.
E.g. it currently says "Green Tea", but I want it to say "Coffee".
Is there a way to do this at all using any of the tools?
Yesterday, suddently when editing text in a document, clicking outside of the text edit, CDR crashes:
Runtime error!
Program: c:Program Fi...
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
I have tried to do the tricks, I googled, like resetting to factory, editing the xml file and running as administrator. Nothing works. It is when I edit any font, and in a new document also. AND update of CDR X4 with service pack 2 did not work.
Coreldraw X6 seems to be much much slower when editing text content.
When I work on a product brochure with a lot of text involved, CorelDraw become very low responsive when I edit the text e.g. select, move, typing, etc etc. It happens to both paragraph text and artistic text.
I really got used to the short cut of editing text pressing ctrl+left SHIFT + t , this brings me right into the
text box where I am able to quickly access all the text features, now since last update every time I make a text change in that window my text drops one line down and even though I will hit the cursor to front and back space it bringing it right to top when I hit OK it still drops my text one line down, this has become very annoying...
I love this feature but I am unable to bring it back to its original functional way. I did reinstalled corel , and yes I did reset the application still the same thing is happening.
Whenever I edit text in the pop-up dialog, there is usually an extra line inserted at the top of the text (a blank first line). I can't get rid of this extra line through the pop-up edit window, I can only delete it using the text tool directly on the page. This only started with the latest update.
I put corel draw x3 on a new laptop with window 7 and the bitsteam font navigator will not work. Well actually it worked once, then when I went to add more fonts (find fonts) it just freezes up. I have uninstalled and re installed it and still have same problem. Never had this problem on windows xp.
I inserted a picture in a square using powerclip; I also used some lens effects inside the frame; then when I wanted to edit, the program froze my pc completely, not just Corel but also windows.
I am running a 64-bit windows 7, Inter Core i7, 6 Gb RAM.
I'm writing a manual using Corel Draw X5. The manual is 125 pages. When I spell check the whole document it freezes. I waited well over 20 minutes before concluding that something was wrong. Forcing Corel to close during the "not responding" state corrupts the document. When I try to reopen it, it hangs during the opening process.
I am fully updated on the software. Is this document too big for Corel Draw?
I have had CorelDRAW X6 for about 6-months with no problems. Recently I try to open X6 and the load time is extremly long. Once it finally loads the screen looks normal but when I click on anything on the screen i just get a "ding" sound and the screen is frozen. I actually have to go to task manager to shut it off.
Once in a while I can open a previous design and then everything will work fine. I thought I would try to re-install the software. I tried to uninstall but when I get to the uninstall page I see three options "Modify", "Repair", or "Remove". I can click on these but there is not other botton on the page like and OK or Continue, so I am stuck.
This software is very important to my t-shirt design business. how to either get it to load normally and act normal or at least be able to uninstall and re-install?
Anytime I import a piece of Clipart and I go to the Trace bitmap button>outline trace>line art the program freezes immediately. The diagbox doesn't even pop up, nor does it say "not responding" at the top.
I am running Win 8 but it has been running for months without a hitch. I have cleaned out temp files and reinstalled the suite and nothing happened.
I am working in Photoshop Elements 11 on a Mac. Every time I use the text tool, the program freezes and I have to force quit. I read this might have something to do with a font problem. I have deleted fonts that came on the Mac and also downloaded other fonts.
I have a MAC and have installed PSE 11 successfully. I'm working on a birthday project and everytime I try to add text, the whole thing freezes. I force shut down as it's the only thing to get me out of it, and reboot, and it does it again, and again and again.
I've been using X6 for over a year without any major problems. I have all updates and hotfixes installed. Last night I saved a project I was working on and this morning when I went to open it it crashed immediately, before the splash screen even appeared. Everything froze including the mouse and keyboard and I had to do a hard shutdown. I booted back up, tried again and the same thing. Tried different .cdr files and opening CDX6 directly. Same complete system-wide crash. The F8 reset option freezes the system too.
I tried reinstalling the last update and as soon as the reinstall began it crashed. I tried uninstalling it. It crashed. Each time freezing the complete system, mouse, keyboard and all, requiring a hard shut down. I scanned for viruses—nothing.
Everything was working fine last night, all I did was boot down the PC for the night and boot it back up in the morning like I've done a million times.
Every time I click on an option in Photoshop CC, the menu button freezes on-screen. I will attach some images to better illustrate the problem. This is my screen after opening and closing a file. The respective part of the menu stays frozen on screen:
After clicking on a plugin button under the "Filter" menu:
It happens every time on any button. The only way to clear the screen -ahem, the only way that I know of- is through the screen resolution panel. I just have to switch to a different resolution back and forth and it works. The thing is, this bug will come back as soon as I use the menu, which is, well, very often since I rely heavily on some plugins or actions with no shortcuts.
I have Windows 7 64 bit, an ATI Radeon HD 6500M video card and a Wacom Bamboo Tablet.
I have Adobe Photoshop CS6 (part of Master Collection English-Arabic Enabled) installed on MacBook Pro with Mac OS X Mountain LionI went to Preferences -> Type -> chose Middle East , to enable arabic typing but whenever I choose the Text tool, photoshop freezes, and cpu use reaches 130% ( on Activity Monitor it showed that photoshop using 60% of cpu while "fontd" is up to 70%)I don't know why font daemon is consuming that much of cpu, probably facing problems with building fonts models, I left it for half an hour, but no use.
the corresponding windows version, did not freeze, instead just went alittle quirky heavy for half a minute then back to normal and i was able to use text tool and type in arabic normally
Photoshop CC up to date 5 years PS experience Restart of file and PS didn't resolve the issue Creating Smart Object didn't resolve issue
When attempting to add simple text on an individual layer, the layer is turning black. This prevents me from seeing the text I'm editing. When I move to another layer the text displays correctly. When I go to edit the text by clicking the image the layer goes black again. It is like editing text in the dark, turning the light on to see the changes, turning the light off to make the changes, repeat.
I am clicking on a layer in GIMP, and when I click on the text tool, this dialog pops up "CONFIRM TEXT EDITING" "the layer you selected is a text layer but it has been modified using other tools. Editing the layer with the text tool will discard these modifications. You can edit the layer or create a new text layer from its text attributes."
with 3 options, Create New layer, Cancel, and Edit however, no matter what I click, it doesn't let me create new text anywhere.ALSO, it seems to jump from the layer i selected to another layer whenever I click "EDIT."
What is weird is that I was able to create new text prior to this, but not anymore. it's gimp 2.8.0
Entire Corel suite freezes on start up - I cannot do anything. Reinstalling also does not work - suddenly buttons on the installer dissapeared - there is no text on them and when I click them nothing happens.
A week ago I have installed service pack 3 and everything worked fine. It has all gone wrong again. And installation of the latest patches does not work anymore.
I am running Windows 7 64-bit and I've got a feeling that is must have something to do with system updates.
