I have created a pyrimid 3D object with which I have appled a the puzzle texture to it. The problem I am understanding is why it has automaticcaly seperated each peice of the 3D object.(left, back, right & bottom.) Thats issue one.
Issue two is when I applied the puzzle texture - it only applied it to the one side and did not wrip the texture around it as I would have expected it to.
I'm working on a document with the necessary combination of bitmap and vector. After importing textures 300dpi (A4/24bit/jpg) the reaction slows down the program significantly, to the inability to continue working in it. Texture takes 40mega while in memory, but in my opinion it is not quite so much, it should not materially affect the normal operation. I am using CDrawX3, I tried to open it in a version 9 or 10. The fastest I came subjectively is CDraw Designer v10. But he still falls.I tried adjusting the amount of RAM for Corel or lower resolution bitmap import at 150 dpi. It's practically the same. It does not even mention the interactive transparency, or weld/trim operation, etc. I think, that the X4 or X5 are the same. Every year new version seems the same old software with the polished exterior. I'm used to work in Corel for technical drawings with lot of combination of bitmaps and vectors but unfortunately it will want to look for something else?

Invert does not work. When I click on it, nothing happens. It is not grayed out. It's been doing it since 16.2.
Currently, I have to use X3 or X5 to invert stuff.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI think it is a setting error because it wouldn't work on my PC before or after reinstalling. So installed to laptop and no difference.
If I select an object - I cannot use the delete key. It won't do anything. I have to right click and delete.
I can't copy and paste or cut using keyboard short cuts (ctrl + x / c / v ) and a few others don't work.
BUT - when I type into corel - using the text function - and delete some of the text. It works there - and after doing this, for a few minutes, I can delete and copy paste to my hearts content within the programme. Then it stops again.
These shortcuts work as normal within windows and other programmes.
The vertical text alignment of text frames has no effect at all.
Whatever I choose (top/middle/bottom/justified) the text will always align on top of the frame.
I am new to Corel Draw, and I'm using a shiny new copy of X5. It seems like this should be ultra simple, and I don't know what I could possibly be doing wrong, but I have text in a Paragraph box and want to simply adjust the line spacing (leading), but no matter what mode I'm in the control does nothing.
I made sure that I wasn't missing a space or a return or something by using select all, I have used all three modes, which will change the spacing as I select a new mode, but changing the value in the spacing box does nothing. I can make it 2 points 100 points, 50%, everything I have tried does nothing at all.
"Snap to object", "To Front of Page", and "To Back of Page" buttons stopped working.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy CorelDraw suddenly stopped to produce PDFs. The dialog "Publish To PDF" opens fine, but when pressing "Save" it won't do anything after a while of loading. Usually it starts to process the file and a progress bar is shown, but no such is shown and no file is produced. The settings opens fine and no problems there.
Re-installing has been tried without resolving the issue. Different files has been tried, same problem.
In X5 holding [Shift] while zooming with the scroll-wheel decreases the zoom step size. In X6, holding [Shift] has no effect and CorelDraw zooms in the same large steps as when zooming without holding [shift].
I have both X5 and X6 installed. X5 performs as it should, X6 does not.
why [shift] has no effect? I desperately want the smaller zoom-steps back!
For some reason my quick key "Control D" for Duplicate isn't working. It shows that it's still listed in the Tools, Options, Commands, Duplicate at times. At others, it appears empty. I now have to go to Edit and select the Delete function each time.
Is my CorelDraw falling apart?
I was victim to the MS update that wiped out all the fonts. I undid the damage with a restore, it was the only way for my X64 Win 7 system. Now, suddenly, making multipage PDF's is a nightmare. I have always used the same process and settings on the PDF converter (been doing it since X3 with no issues) Now, I cannot set the settings to get a normal sized PDF... they usually are 5 megs for a 5 page pdf... now they come in at 35 megs? It's always ignored the graphic items I have placed off of the page... now, it appears it's including these items and I cannot figure out how to adjust the settings - I've tried everything.
The only work around was to save the file under a new name, delete all extraneous graphics off the page, then make the PDF. It comes out as it should if I do that. I've never had to do that before... it's always simply used the graphics on each page when it's checked as "pages 1-5".
macros are all disabled and i remembered there is a command to disable all the events but i could not figure out where exactly it is located and even i tried to reinstall the using modiy and repair twice times to install the software but still persists to activate the macros.
all the macros are grayed out and even Alt F11 also not working.
When I start using the drop shadow from the center out, the options such as the Drop Shadow Angle, Shadow Fade, and Shadow Stretch in the control bar on top are all grayed out. My friend told me that this is not supposed to happen.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have set the automatic backups to end up in a specific folder on an external hard drive, which is always on. However, none of the auto backups end up there. They end up in the same folder as the actual file on my regular HD - which absolutely defies the purpose of having a backup on a different medium. I wish I could attach a screenshot of the setting page to prove my point, but Corel has not advanced to that level yet as it seems. Not even in "Support", which, unless you own the latest version of a Corel software, is non-existing anyway.

A graphic exported in Draw & PP in X4 as a .png works fine.
The same graphic copied & pasted into Draw or PP in X6 does not.Repeatable 100%...The eyedriopper selection of the transp[arent color seems to pick up the right color, but the output presents like a .jpg. Viewed in IE9, Firefox & Chrome with same results.
I've kinda ignored the clone tool as I thought it was useless. Now I find out that it isn't working as expected on my system. I'd be happy with any pointers as to how to refresh clones.
For example, if I change anything about a clone of artistic text, then ANY link to editing the text is gone.

I use the Corel Draw table tool regularly and since upgrading to SP1 the tool no longer works. I can create a table but cannot add rows, columns or even import tables from MS Word. All functionality has gone.
I am also running a machine with X6 without SP1 and the table tool works fine so what I have to do is create the tool in X6 and then it works fine in X6 SP1.
Also noting that the upgrade has not fixed the instability on the 64Bit version as every time I select an object to move it Corel crashes.
I cannot get the Envelope tool to work correctly in Draw X5. Rather that go into a lenghty explanation, see below. Notice that some of the rectangles don't "bend" as they should. I converted all text to curves and then welded all objects together. However, it acts the same if they are grouped instead.

When I open PhotoPaint X5, which is part of my CroelDRAW X5 Suite, I receive an error message; "PhotoPaint has stopped working". CorelDraw X5 opens correctly without any problem.
I have un-installed and re-installed the CDX5 Suite, but the problem still persists.

The scanner shortcut doesn't work unless you go to acquire first. It keeps working until you close CorelDraw. When you reopen Corel, you must then go to acquire first.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe brush tool is no longer working - when I select on any of the brush tools, spray, Art burhs, spray , line, marker etc, they will not work. When I select the drop down nothing is listed. Additionally, none of the other tools in the box, Effect Tool, Image Sprayer too ect, do not work as well. Did I select something to turn off the tool?
I've tried to uninstall and re-install and that did not work.
