CorelDRAW X4 :: Delete And Various Other Shortcuts Not Working
Jan 27, 2012
I think it is a setting error because it wouldn't work on my PC before or after reinstalling. So installed to laptop and no difference.
If I select an object - I cannot use the delete key. It won't do anything. I have to right click and delete.
I can't copy and paste or cut using keyboard short cuts (ctrl + x / c / v ) and a few others don't work.
BUT - when I type into corel - using the text function - and delete some of the text. It works there - and after doing this, for a few minutes, I can delete and copy paste to my hearts content within the programme. Then it stops again.
These shortcuts work as normal within windows and other programmes.
I've used Photoshop 7 for around a year now, using it mainly to touch up digital photos. I've just upgraded to Photoshop CS, but I've found that I'm having difficulties with my keyboard.
Usually, to zoom in, I can press CTRL + +. However, when I do this, nothing happens. Also, when I make a mistake with the magnetic lasso tool, I can usually press my Delete key to undo the last fixed point. Again, this doesn't work. All that is on on my keyboard is "Number Lock", which just allows me to use the right hand number keypad. Even with this off, the problems still aren't solved.
I got the same problem (shortcuts stop working after a period of time while in photoshop and I need to restart photoshop to make it work again)But now, It occurs every 10 secs. I CANNOT use photoshop at all. Just as I open it I got 10 secs to use the keyboard and then its over.
Everything is fully updated, as well as drivers. Nothing has changed in my computer since the last post.
For some reason on my Photoshop CS3 Extended, the shortcuts mess up.
It's probably me clicking something, but I don't know what it is, because I've always done the same thing as before and it only just started happening recently.
What's been happening is that whenever I want to use a tool like when you hit "Z" on the keyboard to activate the "Zoom Tool" it undos instead, like the "CTRL+Z" shortcut. Or if i want to use "P" for the "Pen Tool" it takes it as if i did "CTRL+P". But I didn't even do CTRL+anything, I only hit that one key. What exactly is the problem? Do i need to re-install Photoshop?
I have Photoshop CC through Creative cloud. My keyboard shortcuts stop working, then Photoshop really slows down, then crashes. I've been through Adobe support five times now, and it works for about 1/2 hour, then acts up again.Â
Keyboard shortcuts will work for a little while, then suddenly stop. I can still select tools 'manually', clicking the icons, but pressing P for the paint brush tool or E for the eraser will have no effect. So far as I can tell this happens at random. It has also been fixing itself at random, after some undetermined amount of time not working, but then it just happens again.  'Use shift key for tool switch' is already unchecked in my preferences.  I'm on Photoshop CS6 Mac OS 10.7.3 I've got like 580 gigs of free disk space, and 8 GB of RAM...
Some of the keyboard shortcuts are not working. Specifically, I'm talking about the shortcut to increase/decreases the brush size.
I found a sheet with all of the Photoshop keyboard shortcuts and it says that the "[" and "]" keys increase and decreases the size of the brush. But it does not work. I made sure the cheat sheet of shortcuts I found were for CS2. So I'm wondering how to fix this problem.
Most shortcuts of mine are working. But some, like print, color settings are not bringing up the appropropriate boxes. And the strange part is that the correct keys are listed in the menu.
how to draw in photoshop. But I've got a problem...Some of the keyboard shortcuts that are very important for this technique do not work. Specifically, I'm talking about the shortcut to increase/decreases the brush size. I found a sheet with all of the photoshop keyboard shortcuts and it says that the "[" and "]" keys increase and decreases the size of the brush. But it does not work. I have CS2 and I made sure the cheat sheet of shortcuts I found were for CS2.
i received a copy of Photoshop CS from my older sis as a birthday gift and everything is working fine except that my keyboard shortcuts dont work.... scratch that, the program is not getting input from any keyboard function i use, even beyond the shortcuts. i still have PS7 on my machine and it still running fine and working great.
I installed AutoCAD LT 2013 on Friday. Everything was working fine until this morning. I found, as of this morning that my keyboard shortcuts don't work. eg 'l' to draw a line or 'e' to erase an object.
When I try to edit the acadlt.pgp file (Tools/customize/edit program parameters) I get the error message acadlt.pgp could not be found.
I read in another thread that after changed are made to that file the 'reinit' command should be run. on doing this i get the error message ' Dialogs are not available because DCL files are not loaded' .
Keyboard shortcuts are working sporadically. For instance, when using select all, copy, paste shortcuts to copy from one image to another in a different tab it can take 2 presses of the keyboard to get them to work. This also makes actions unusable.  Using MacPro 2.66 Nehalem 8 core, OS 10.6.8, 32GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4870  Have tried:  Adjusting Performance in preferences -currently 25062 memory usage, history states 20, cache levels8, cache level 1024, use graphics processor ticked. Have changed all of these settings with no effect on problem.  Closed all other programs(including all browsers).  Removed any plug-ins. Closed flash panels namely mini bridge.  Having to revert to an older version of Photoshop at the moment as dodgy Keyboard shortcuts make CS6 unusable. Also have a problem with Camera Raw which I have raised in another Discussion that makes it unusable also.
I'm recently having a problem in photoshop cs5.After a while in photoshop, MOST keyboard shortcuts stops working. the keyboard works just fine, but the shortcuts are'nt. All I need to do to fix it is to restart photoshop and it works fine again (until the problem occurs again). But recently, this problem occurs ever 2 mins. I've just started a design I wanted to finish with quickly, and I actually restarted photoshop at least 20 times.
btw, the only other applications running while photoshop is are windows media player, NOD 32 , windows photo viewer, and some other folders, thats it.
in CS6 the basic keyboard shortcuts such as Command C,A and V are either slow in working, have to be keyed in twice or are not working and have to be selected from the drop down menu. What's up with this? On a Mac OSX 10.6.8.
In photoshop/indesign/illustrator a lot of my keyboard shortcuts have suddenly stopped working. Yesterday when i pressed spacebar in any of these cs programmes it would bring up the hand tool - now it doesnt.
I have Photoshop CS2 (legal copy, not cracked) and installed Nero 9 (also legal) and realized that now my Photoshop keyboard shotcuts do not work. There aren't any errors or warnings. It is like I never typed anything at all. I uninstalled Photoshop and used nero's cleanup tool to uninstall all Nero components. I then re-installed Photoshop, but still no keyboard shortcuts. Like most people I almost exclusively use keyboard shortcuts where I can so this is a major handicap as I work. I don't want to have to completely wipe my computer and start over, but will if I must.Â
Some of my keyboard short cuts do not work - for example Import (CMD-I), Export (CMD-E) make subclip etc...... things like JKL play work and mark in mark out etc...
Noticed Keyboard shortcuts not working from time to time in Inv 2011? It's ultimately frustrating because I cannot figure out what is causing the issue. Some times restarting Inventor or opening the keyboard shortcuts customize window works and sometimes it doesn't. Standard default shortcuts like "ctrl + p" for printing and custom shortcuts I have added both don't function in Inv. but work just fine in other programs.
Another undesired problem is after rebooting our machines the Project file is switched back to default.
I've just bought a new laptop (because my old laptop fell apart) and have installed Illustrator on it. For some reason, the keyboard shortcuts aren't working properly. I can't use the spacebar to get to the hand tool, and every time I use a shortcut to get to any other tool, my cursor pauses for a moment before I can move it again. I'm running CS2 (I know, I know; just don't have the money to upgrade) on a Windows 7 system. I specifically sought out a computer with Windows 7, because that's what my old laptop had, and Illustrator ran beautifully on it. This problem is really going to negatively impact my productivity.
my co-worker can not setup his drawing's data shortcuts. So, we tried to set the working folder. He has no real options for working folders. There is only one project folder showing for him. how to get all of the project folders to display in the set working folder dialogue so we can select the correct project, then select the correct data shortcuts. He is using C3D 2012 on a windows 7 64 bit machine. His folders have black arrows instead of plus signs. I've attached a picture. The Monterey Projects folder should display several hundred project sub folders and you can see we only have the one folder of 2916.
I have been using Dropbox to collaborate with a remote office. Â The problem we ran into was that for some reason, data references don't work when a drawing is reopened. Â In other words, when I open a drawing, none of the objects I dref'd into the drawing showed up. Â In the Toolspace, the objects appear just fine (i.e. no broken reference indications). If I manually synchronize the object, then it shows up int he drawings. Â If I save and then reopen, the reference is gone again. Â I have seen some info about Projectwise and the problems with dref's when using that program
I have two actions that I use quite often. I assigned keyboard shortcuts to them in the actions dropdown menu. However whenever I press the shortcut keys, nothing ever happens. I have tried changing the modifier key combinations...
I had command shortcuts created in 2012 (in the acad.pgp file) for AECC commands like drawing feature lines, trimming feature lines, etc. My shortcut commands that began with AECC aren't working in 2013, perhaps becasue these now pull up a dialogue boxes before the command is shown in the command window? How I can get keyboard commands to work for this? I'm lost now looking for all sorts of buttons!
I am running Civil3D 2011 on Windows 64 machine and am wondering how I go about setting up multiple working folders when using data shortcuts. Â I have two different projects I am working on, for which I set up surface data shortcuts, but the 2nd one I set up over-wrote the 1st folder and so now that surface is not properly shortcutted into that project. how to set this up, for I am new to the whole shortcutting game?

I have been using the same Working Folder and Data Shortcuts since January of this year. Â My AutoCAD crashed yesterday and ever since then I haven't been able to reset my working folder. Â When I select the correct folder, one that I have been using for the past 8 months, the program just freezes and will do absolutely nothing for as long as I will let it sit. Â I even tried selecting a parent and child folder of the shortcuts folder, just to double check I was selecting the correct folder. Â When I select the wrong folder, nothing happens, but when I select the correct folder, the program locks up. Â
tried to install AutoCAD 2012 with SCCM. So I configured an automatic install for it. Tested the installation by clicking the link... everything is fine. Then uninstall and tried to roll it out with sccm: The installation works but there is no shortcut for Autodesk Design Review 2013. Not on the desktop, not on the startmenu Why?
is there a shortcut for when I have an object selected to select a color and apply it automatically? I realize that I can select the eyedropper from the document palette choose a color, then reselect the object and apply the color, but I'd like to just click 'eyedropper' then sample the color and have it automatically apply.
I can't find a macro command to call the eyedropper either otherwise I suppose I could just use that.
Current System: i3 3.07ghz, 3gb ram, Windows 7 32 bit with all updates and X6
Can I combine 2 shortcuts into one? There's a procedure I use repeatedly (in the absence of a vector blur tool in Draw) - Convert to Bitmap and Apply Gaussian Blur. The settings in the former would obviously always be the same - resolution, colour, transparent back etc.
Basically to be able to select the vector object and go straight to the gaussian blur settings.
