Some of my keyboard short cuts do not work - for example Import (CMD-I), Export (CMD-E) make subclip etc...... things like JKL play work and mark in mark out etc...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI do a heavy job about an into working on a comp my keyboard will stop working, every once in a while if I cmd + tab out of smoke and back into smoke it will do the same thing, but my mouse always works. The only way to really get the keyboard back to working is by rebooting the app. This is really embarrassing when you are doing supervised sessions and you have to reboot.

View 9 Replies View RelatedKeyboard shortcuts will work for a little while, then suddenly stop. I can still select tools 'manually', clicking the icons, but pressing P for the paint brush tool or E for the eraser will have no effect. So far as I can tell this happens at random. It has also been fixing itself at random, after some undetermined amount of time not working, but then it just happens again.Â

Some of the keyboard shortcuts are not working. Specifically, I'm talking about the shortcut to increase/decreases the brush size.
I found a sheet with all of the Photoshop keyboard shortcuts and it says that the "[" and "]" keys increase and decreases the size of the brush. But it does not work. I made sure the cheat sheet of shortcuts I found were for CS2. So I'm wondering how to fix this problem.
Most shortcuts of mine are working. But some, like print, color settings are not bringing up the appropropriate boxes. And the strange part is that the correct keys are listed in the menu.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI installed AutoCAD LT 2013 on Friday. Everything was working fine until this morning. I found, as of this morning that my keyboard shortcuts don't work. eg 'l' to draw a line or 'e' to erase an object.
When I try to edit the acadlt.pgp file (Tools/customize/edit program parameters) I get the error message acadlt.pgp could not be found.
I read in another thread that after changed are made to that file the 'reinit' command should be run. on doing this i get the error message ' Dialogs are not available because DCL files are not loaded' .
Keyboard shortcuts are working sporadically. For instance, when using select all, copy, paste shortcuts to copy from one image to another in a different tab it can take 2 presses of the keyboard to get them to work. This also makes actions unusable.

Having to revert to an older version of Photoshop at the moment as dodgy Keyboard shortcuts make CS6 unusable. Also have a problem with Camera Raw which I have raised in another Discussion that makes it unusable also.
I'm recently having a problem in photoshop cs5.After a while in photoshop, MOST keyboard shortcuts stops working. the keyboard works just fine, but the shortcuts are'nt. All I need to do to fix it is to restart photoshop and it works fine again (until the problem occurs again).But recently, this problem occurs ever 2 mins. I've just started a design I wanted to finish with quickly, and I actually restarted photoshop at least 20 times.
btw, the only other applications running while photoshop is are windows media player, NOD 32 , windows photo viewer, and some other folders, thats it.
in CS6 the basic keyboard shortcuts such as Command C,A and V are either slow in working, have to be keyed in twice or are not working and have to be selected from the drop down menu. What's up with this? On a Mac OSX 10.6.8.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop CS2 (legal copy, not cracked) and installed Nero 9 (also legal) and realized that now my Photoshop keyboard shotcuts do not work. There aren't any errors or warnings. It is like I never typed anything at all. I uninstalled Photoshop and used nero's cleanup tool to uninstall all Nero components. I then re-installed Photoshop, but still no keyboard shortcuts. Like most people I almost exclusively use keyboard shortcuts where I can so this is a major handicap as I work. I don't want to have to completely wipe my computer and start over, but will if I must.Â
View 11 Replies View RelatedNoticed Keyboard shortcuts not working from time to time in Inv 2011? It's ultimately frustrating because I cannot figure out what is causing the issue. Some times restarting Inventor or opening the keyboard shortcuts customize window works and sometimes it doesn't. Standard default shortcuts like "ctrl + p" for printing and custom shortcuts I have added both don't function in Inv. but work just fine in other programs.
Another undesired problem is after rebooting our machines the Project file is switched back to default.
I've just bought a new laptop (because my old laptop fell apart) and have installed Illustrator on it. For some reason, the keyboard shortcuts aren't working properly. I can't use the spacebar to get to the hand tool, and every time I use a shortcut to get to any other tool, my cursor pauses for a moment before I can move it again. I'm running CS2 (I know, I know; just don't have the money to upgrade) on a Windows 7 system. I specifically sought out a computer with Windows 7, because that's what my old laptop had, and Illustrator ran beautifully on it. This problem is really going to negatively impact my productivity.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've used Photoshop 7 for around a year now, using it mainly to touch up digital photos. I've just upgraded to Photoshop CS, but I've found that I'm having difficulties with my keyboard.
Usually, to zoom in, I can press CTRL + +. However, when I do this, nothing happens. Also, when I make a mistake with the magnetic lasso tool, I can usually press my Delete key to undo the last fixed point. Again, this doesn't work. All that is on on my keyboard is "Number Lock", which just allows me to use the right hand number keypad. Even with this off, the problems still aren't solved.
I can roll trim with the mouse - but not with the keyboard (I can slip and slide with the keyboard) - am I missing something?
Also is asymmetric/bidirectional trimming possible?
At random points while editing my keyboard will become inactive within Smoke. I've mapped out a custom keyboard and it works well to a certain point. It's as if I've accidentally changed a setting that "turned off" all my key maps. I can't zoom, insert or even playback from the source monitor or timeline.

Only alternative is to press ctrl and click, but well, what are my pen buttons good for and i´m lazy, especially when i have to access option menus.

Right now I am using 2 computers, a mac pro and a macbook pro. I would like to use my MacPro's keyboard and mouse to control the macbook pro much like a mouse and keyboard on a second display. I've been using an application called teleport, but it doesn't allow me to use keyboard commands.Â

I've heard/used synergy, but it's to much work for the final product.
Is there any keyboard shortcut in Smoke to shuttle quickly across footage (with sound playing) at 2x or 3x speed like you can in Avid/FCP/Premiere etc by double/triple-tapping the J and L keys?
This makes scanning through clips and the timeline so much faster and I consider it a basic essential.

I am Brazilian and my language has several words with accents (á, à , é, ê, ç ....) every time I need to type something into smoke I will really going to have to keep typing a few letters, go for a virtual keyboard, select a special character, disable the virtual keyboard to type back ....
Quite possibly user error, but following along with Grants Keying demo, I am unable to make the MasterKeyer in Axis perform a key!
I have a background on v1, green screen shot on v2, select both and apply axis fx. Enable the PreviewFX cache, then in Keyer I switched t Masterk, select the left colour pick and click on the green screen element. All that happens is the swatch turns white regardless of the colour being selected, and the entire video clip is removed to reveal the background.
As far as i can tell, all my onscreen settings are the same as the ones in Grants video.
I'm running the trial version of Smoke 2013 (latest version) on a Mac Pro. Going out a Kona Card. SDI out works fine, but I'm not getting a signal out of the HDMI? (I know the cable is good, Final Cut works fine...).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having some issues with the newly added Sequence Publish function added in Prerelease 4. I have tried using both the built in AAF export option, and have tried a custom DPX image sequence with EDL export. The function is able to do the final sequence render in preparation for the publish, however it doesn't ever actually publish either the DPX sequence or quicktime movies I request it to. I am left with a folder which contains the edl or aaf file, but no corresponding media ever gets written out. When I check the jobs tab in the mediahub, it just shows "waiting" as its status, but it never progresses past that point. I have tried this function on three different timelines with different media, and it still won't write out the publish sequence. I am able however, to export the sequences to a quicktime as I would normally.
View 3 Replies View RelatedTrying to conform Canon C300 MXF media from 3 different drives. Â My source footage is spread across 3 TB of portable drives, so I'm trying to conform each drive's footage, cache the media, then move on to the next drive.

This mostly worked, but there's about a half dozen clips that refuse to cache for some reason. Â Everything looks fine when the drive is plugged in - then I consolidate handles, then go to the sequence and choose CACHE MEDIA - Backburner kicks in and says 100% complete.

But then I have to quit Smoke to eject the drives and connect a different one, and when I start Smoke again, MOST of the clips are there, but some of the clips are not. Â They do not say Unlinked or checkboards - but they are just black. Â (One time it showed RED frames - WTF??). Â If I reconnect the HD, the clips show up, so it's obviously still reading it from the portable drive.

Is there an option to force cache individual clips?.

I tried unlinking/relinking thos problem clips, and even Hard Committing the GAP layer above - and those few clips still do not cache - even the hard commit goes black when the drive is disconnected. Â How is that even possible? Â Do I need to add an Axis Effect to force a render, then commit those frames?

why the BB would say 100% complete, but not all clips are truly cached?
