I had command shortcuts created in 2012 (in the acad.pgp file) for AECC commands like drawing feature lines, trimming feature lines, etc. My shortcut commands that began with AECC aren't working in 2013, perhaps becasue these now pull up a dialogue boxes before the command is shown in the command window? How I can get keyboard commands to work for this? I'm lost now looking for all sorts of buttons!

tried to install AutoCAD 2012 with SCCM. So I configured an automatic install for it. Tested the installation by clicking the link... everything is fine. Then uninstall and tried to roll it out with sccm: The installation works but there is no shortcut for Autodesk Design Review 2013. Not on the desktop, not on the startmenu Why?
Don't want to do that manually on 40+ computers..
I have received a Civil file with AECC Labels (they are Contour numbers) and I'm trying to either explode them or convert them to text objects in order to print.
For some reason, when I explode them they disappear completely and I have to undo 3-4X to get them back, undoing previous commands in the process. I can't seem to edit them otherwise. The reason I'm exploding them is because CAD is not seeing these objects when plotting.
Any lisp routine or how to convert or modify AECC Labels?
my co-worker can not setup his drawing's data shortcuts. So, we tried to set the working folder. He has no real options for working folders. There is only one project folder showing for him. how to get all of the project folders to display in the set working folder dialogue so we can select the correct project, then select the correct data shortcuts. He is using C3D 2012 on a windows 7 64 bit machine. His folders have black arrows instead of plus signs. I've attached a picture. The Monterey Projects folder should display several hundred project sub folders and you can see we only have the one folder of 2916.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been using Dropbox to collaborate with a remote office. The problem we ran into was that for some reason, data references don't work when a drawing is reopened. In other words, when I open a drawing, none of the objects I dref'd into the drawing showed up. In the Toolspace, the objects appear just fine (i.e. no broken reference indications). If I manually synchronize the object, then it shows up int he drawings. If I save and then reopen, the reference is gone again. I have seen some info about Projectwise and the problems with dref's when using that program

I have two different projects I am working on, for which I set up surface data shortcuts, but the 2nd one I set up over-wrote the 1st folder and so now that surface is not properly shortcutted into that project. how to set this up, for I am new to the whole shortcutting game?

I have been using the same Working Folder and Data Shortcuts since January of this year. My AutoCAD crashed yesterday and ever since then I haven't been able to reset my working folder. When I select the correct folder, one that I have been using for the past 8 months, the program just freezes and will do absolutely nothing for as long as I will let it sit. I even tried selecting a parent and child folder of the shortcuts folder, just to double check I was selecting the correct folder. When I select the wrong folder, nothing happens, but when I select the correct folder, the program locks up.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have a total of three machine at our office that are running 64-bit Windows 7 with Civil 3D 2013. Two of the three machines have problems with drawings that include AECC_Contours. When you try and start a polyline or line the mouse will begin to jump and lag. As you move the cursor off of the AECC_Contours the mouse returns to normal operation. I have looked around throughout forms and have yet to find anything that relates to this. Also I have disable Aero within Windows, thinking that may have been the issue. All three machines are running the same version of Civil 3D with the latest service pack.

We are in the middle of upgrading from C3D 2008 to C3D 2013 and are having problems with the data shortcuts. It appears that in 2013 you have to specify a data shortcut project folder and within that folder would be folders for individual projects. In 2008, we just put the data shortcuts within each specific project folder now that we have started working on projects that were setup in 2008, I am not seeing how in the heck we can access or create references to those existing shortcuts. I know we have skipped 5 versions of acad, but I would hope there would be a way to import or access existing project data.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using AutoCAD 2013 - Educational Version, and I want to convert my linework into a column grid. For some reason the COLUMNGRIDADD command is not being recognized by the program. When I type it in the command line, it just says Unknown Command.
Additionally, my Build Panel is missing from the ribbon, which is the other source for the column grid tools. I tried to reload or change the CUI, but so far this has not been successful.
I've just recently been having a problem with the base view command. While trying to create the base view from model space all I get is the move command. Also from inventor the command changes to fillet. I've uninstalled AutoCad 2013 completly then reinstalled but continue to have the same problem.

My project was previously using Data Shortcuts in C3D 2013. I opened the reference (not the source) drawing that uses a bunch of Alignments. During the initial drawing upgrade from 2013 into 2014 I get a message for each Alignment that, "{Alignment Name} was modified in a previous version of the software. Changes in the current were overwritten when the data reference was synchronized.". At this point everything seems fine.
The issue I'm having is that when I re-open that upgraded drawing using 2013 all of those same Alignments become promoted. They are no longer referenced!
I run fbxexport from the file pulldown, and it does not ask me to select objects, and says none of the objects in the drawing can be exported.
I type the command and it works fine.This was mentioned in past posts on 2012.
I am thinking it has something to do the the bug where 2014 could not export shape files, so you had to get a new providers.xml.
My IMX-Export command is also acting funny where it does not ask a filename to export, it uses the current dwg name.

Yesterday I was cruising along as normal when all of the sudden my escape key stopped working. I believe it happened after I accidentally loaded the dbconnection manager or something similar but not sure. When I envoke a command, the escape key does nothing. When I select something and hit the escape key, it doesn't deselect everything. I know it's not my keyboard because I'm using a laptop and both the attached keyboard and the keyboard on the laptop function the same in that the escape key doesn't work. I also have a Logitech Performance MX with a button set as the escape command and that doesn't work. When I type in cancel or ^c^c, the response is "unknown command".

I can't drag it, select it, or find a way to move it in any way. I tried changing the resolution of my monitor thinking it might "bump" it back on the screen. So I've installed AutoCAD 2013 trial and took
- "ModelDoc.cuix" & "ModelDoc.mnr" from "C:UsersXXXAppDataRoamingAutodeskAutoCAD 2013 - EnglishenuSupport"
- AcModelDoc.arx from "C:Program FilesAutodeskAutoCAD 2013 - English"
Then I put the files to similar directories of my Civil 3D 2013 installation. The Layout menu got updated itself and now I can see all new buttons and commands on the Ribbon. However none of new commands work! No error appeares in command line but message "command not found".
Is there any way I can get it working? Or I should ask Autodesk to gift me a free copy of AutoCAD 2013 now?
P.S. I know they've even poinet that out in readme file [URL]. But who reads it before it's too late?..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed AutoCAD LT 2013 on Friday. Everything was working fine until this morning. I found, as of this morning that my keyboard shortcuts don't work. eg 'l' to draw a line or 'e' to erase an object.
When I try to edit the acadlt.pgp file (Tools/customize/edit program parameters) I get the error message acadlt.pgp could not be found.
I read in another thread that after changed are made to that file the 'reinit' command should be run. on doing this i get the error message ' Dialogs are not available because DCL files are not loaded' .
Noticed Keyboard shortcuts not working from time to time in Inv 2011? It's ultimately frustrating because I cannot figure out what is causing the issue. Some times restarting Inventor or opening the keyboard shortcuts customize window works and sometimes it doesn't. Standard default shortcuts like "ctrl + p" for printing and custom shortcuts I have added both don't function in Inv. but work just fine in other programs.
Another undesired problem is after rebooting our machines the Project file is switched back to default.
After installing the VBA Module, I get the message "Unknown command "VBARUN"". I've rebooted, restarted and tried reinstalling the VBA Module to no avail.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI press CTRL+9 to make the Command Line disappear while drawing. When I plot (or when doing a plot preview) , the Command Line appears again by itself. So I always have to turn the Command Line off manually after each plot
The bug still happens;
- if Dynamic Input is turned off or on
- if I plot to a real device or in PDF
- if the Cammand Line Palette i docked or floating.
This is not an issue in AutoCAD 2012 so I guess it has to do with the new way they programmed the revamped Command Line palette in 2013.

I got the same problem (shortcuts stop working after a period of time while in photoshop and I need to restart photoshop to make it work again)But now, It occurs every 10 secs. I CANNOT use photoshop at all. Just as I open it I got 10 secs to use the keyboard and then its over.
Everything is fully updated, as well as drivers. Nothing has changed in my computer since the last post.
For some reason on my Photoshop CS3 Extended, the shortcuts mess up.
It's probably me clicking something, but I don't know what it is, because I've always done the same thing as before and it only just started happening recently.
What's been happening is that whenever I want to use a tool like when you hit "Z" on the keyboard to activate the "Zoom Tool" it undos instead, like the "CTRL+Z" shortcut. Or if i want to use "P" for the "Pen Tool" it takes it as if i did "CTRL+P". But I didn't even do CTRL+anything, I only hit that one key. What exactly is the problem? Do i need to re-install Photoshop?
I use ctrl+ the number pad to change the point size of fonts. I just got thinking, it would be nice to use the same commands for making the current selection larger or smaller too. Maybe 2 and 8 would be down and up by 1 percent of current size and 4-6 could be 1% of original size. 5 would be 'return to 100% of original size.
Current System: i3 3.07ghz, 3gb ram, Windows 7 32 bit with all updates and X6
I have Photoshop CC through Creative cloud. My keyboard shortcuts stop working, then Photoshop really slows down, then crashes. I've been through Adobe support five times now, and it works for about 1/2 hour, then acts up again.
