I designed a festival event guide and our new publishers asked me to add a "bleed" to the documents before publishing to PDF. I followed all the instructions, but when viewing, all it shows is an extra white border around my pages. I need the color to bleed...
Seam Bleed has stopped working for me with the Rendering > Render Surface Map tools. I haven't had need of it in a few months... so I don't know if this is a result of the last PU I installed (PU5) or some other cause. It isn't working for any bitmap type..
I am wondering if there is a way to have a bleed on three sides only. I am exporting to a pdf/x for the printers and I do not want the inside edge (book format) to have a bleed. The only way I can see around this is to make the page smaller (the size of the bleed), but I would prefer to simply remove the inside bleed itself.
.I've just finished a poster and I need to send it over to the printer in jpeg format. I would like them to have a full bleed on the poster, how do I achieve this? I
I am trying to setup an 8.5 X11 sheet on landscape to do a brochure but I cannot add any bleed lines on user defined presets.
When I go to layout>page setup>guidelines>presets>user defined presets. It only gives me the options for margins and # of columns and the distance apart.....but no bleed area
The only way I can add bleed to the layout is when I go to layout>page setup>size (bleed .125")>guidelines>presets>corel presets> check three column newsletter and check bleed area. But then I cannot adjust the distance apart during setup.
I am so confused with bleed marks for printers. Here is my example.
I am designing a postcard that is 8.5 x 3.66. I set my page size in the layout section to 8.5 x 3.66. In that layout section it also has a bleed button. I check it and type in .125 in. (what the printer requires.
So it adds a dotted line outside . which i understand. Here is my question. When I save as PDF, only the 8.5x3.66 saves and not the bleed area. I need the printer to see the bleed area. They also want crop marks.
I have a billboard to design. Anyways, the billboard size is 10'6''x44' and the printer is asking for a 3 inch bleed all around. He is requesting I design it in 1/4 size so I've broken it down into inches and I came up with 31.5''x132''. Anyways how would I achieve the 3 inch bleed all around? Would I design the poster in the measurements I have mentioned or do I actually need to add an additional 3 inches to the layout?
I have 2 issues to deal with. I have a poster I've created in 11x17 but I want to make sure that I get a full bleed when I send it over to the print shop, how would I do this?
issue#2: I will need to reduce the size of the 11x17 to a 5.6in width 7in height. How do I do this? The reason for the size reduction is because I need it for newspaper printing so I need to make sure to keep my 11x17.
i have that issue i made one flyer w X4 where exist a bitmap that must be to the edge of cutted paper , so i made it bigger out of page, i close it to PDF for my printer adding a bleed limit, everything else out of page (inside the bleed ofc) appear BUT the bitmap (lens) stop to the edge of page.
There is a new plug-in for Illustrator from Onyx for banner print preparation:[URL]
Is there any macro or external program with similar functions for the preparation of banner print (Bleed, grommets, marks - see attachment) for CorelDraw?
I have Toshiba computer, Vista and I can't get 3D to work. I looks like Adobe Creative Cloud might not be compatible. I need 3D to work for my class at college. It keeps telling me OpenGL us disabled. I can't find a solution to enable it.

I have Photoshop CS4(11.0.1) and an intuos 3 tablet. I'm trying to get the Pen Tilt setting to work in photoshop but it just doesn't. The tilt works fine in Painter however, and I have the latest wacom drivers installed.
In the brush settings I'm going under Shape dynamics(it's checked), checking control>pen tilt, min diameter 0, tilt scale 200%. No matter what I do it only always works as if I have the control set to pen pressure sensitivity.
I don't think I need the 6D art pen for pen tilt, or do I? Is there any other hidden setting for this to work?
I just upgraded to CS6 from Photoshop 7, which is a huge leap, I know. In PS7 I was able to vary my pen pressure simply by clicking the little box that said 'simulate pressure'. While CS6 has all the same steps, and even has the same little box, the simulate pressure doesn't work (I'm using the standard round brush).
I have gone to brush settings and activated shape dynamics, but that did absolutely nothing. I read a few other discussions that mentioned tablets. I don't have a tablet and don't really plan on getting one any time soon. I never needed one, and with my budget, I really can't afford one; hence why I jumped from PS7 to CS6, took a long time to save all the money.
I can use my simulate pressure option without getting a tablet.
Any good workaround for Visible to camera option not working with iray? I need to hide one object from my render but still keep its effect on lighting. Even only just making the object not visible in the alpha channel would be enough (if the workaround doesnt mean rendering the image 2 times).
I am having trouble with the image sizing feature of Lightroom 4.3. In working with a batch of RAW files that I am exporting as JPEGS, I want to resize some down to a smaller size yet I do not want to make the images that are already smaller than my target dimension larger, I find that Lightroom resizes everything to the dimensions I have specified. This happens even when I check the “Do Not Enlarge” box. For example, if I am exporting 100 images in a photo set of which 90 images are 5555 pixels on the long end and 10 images are 3333 pixels on the long end and I specify that I want to resize to a dimension of 4444 px, Lightroom will resize all 100 images to 4444 px, even when I have checked the “Do Not Enlarge box”. What I want Lightroom to do is resize the 5555 px images to 4444 px, but export the smaller images in their original 3333 pixel size. I thought by checking “Do Not Enlarge” the files smaller than my resize dimension, would remain smaller. However, I have recently noticed that all the images are being resized, even the smaller ones despite me checking “Do Not Enlarge”.
I want to save my PDFs as All Colors As Black, but setting the option to 0 or 1 doesn't work, it keeps saving the PDFs in color. Here's the snippet of
If oPDFAddIn.HasSaveCopyAsOptions(oDataMedium, oContext, oOptions) Then oOptions.Value("All_Color_As_Black") = True oOptions.Value("Remove_Line_Weights") = False oOptions.Value("Vector_Resolution") = 400 oOptions.Value("Sheet_Range") = Inventor.PrintRangeEnum.kPrintAllSheets 'oOptions.Value("Custom_Begin_Sheet") = 2 'oOptions.Value("Custom_End_Sheet") = 4 End If
What is wrong with the option in the second line (shown in red)? I've tried a few other variations of All_Color_As_Black, but I'm having no joy. All the other examples I've looked at either has that option set to False (0) or that line is commented out .
Thought I'd force myself to use CS6 on a new project. I want to select multiple objects using "Option-drag", in the Layer Panel, but it doesn't work as it does in CS5.
Is there a different shortcut for selecting multiple contiguous objects using the Layer Panel, in CS6? Of course, I mean "Select" not "highlight".
I reset Photoshop's preferences and the specific tool and all tools twice to no effect. Shift works fine to select for a perfect circle or rectangle the option tool is just not working to select from the center.
I have PSE 11. When working with the Bloat or Pucker tools in the Liquify filter, the Brush Pressure option fades to gray; the only slider I can actually change is the Brush Size. The problem seems to have started about three weeks ago on my old laptop, which was due to be replaced in any case. I've since purchased a new laptop and have done a full install of PSE 11 on it from the original disks - but the problem still persists.
In my previous version of Elements, I was able to duplicate a layer (which was a picture) and then drag and drop a new picture into that layer. How can I do this with Elements 12, since the drag and drop option doesn't work?
I am using this for a "scrapbook" photo page, where there are multiple photos and text on the page.
I was having a few issues with shift-constrain resizing not working, and option-drag duplication not working, also using the space bar to move the document around the viewport.
OSX 10.9, InDesign 9.2.1.
I reset the preferences, restarted which failed to solve the problem. However once I updated my Wacom driver from 6.3.3 to the latest 6.3.8-2 that seemed to solve the problem.
I bought and downloaded PSE11. However, I don't think I disabled my virusware. It took an especially long time to download and I don't know if it downloaded correctly. My blur tool does not work and my "guided" options are not there. What is the easiest fix- uninstall and remove the serial number then reinstall using same serial number? My question with this is- how many times can I do this, and or is there an easier fix? I have PSE11 and LR4 and I am going back and forth between which one to use. I really need all the options to work from PSE11.
