I cannot get the Envelope tool to work correctly in Draw X5. Rather that go into a lenghty explanation, see below. Notice that some of the rectangles don't "bend" as they should. I converted all text to curves and then welded all objects together. However, it acts the same if they are grouped instead.

i'm surprised nobody else has mentioned this problem, but when I place one shape inside another and try to apply transparency to the powerclip, the transparency only affects the original outside object. In addition, only the outer objects fill is affected, and not it's outline. The following image should explain this better.
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust checking thru all the stuff that I never got around to using and stumbled across the Interactive Connector Tool (ICT). However, when I try to use it, I can only get one end of the connection to actually latch onto an object. To fix the other end to another object, I apparently would have to make it the active object so that I could connect to - or even see - the nodes. But when I tried selecting both objects, the 2nd (connect to) object lost focus on my selecting the node of the connect from object with the ICT. Each time I end up with a line that is fixed to a point on the background as the connect to point and the connect from object on the other end.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI work on CorelDraw X5, I have problems while printing an object with interactive transparent effect applied.I've converted the object to bitmap more times to apply different transparent effect in different direction.
Now when I print the file there are errors on the points highlighted by red circles. URL....I don't remember in the past to have had problems with CorelDraw 10 to use this effect.
not being able to change colors of an object while using the Interactive Fill Tool? That is, change an existing color or add/delect a color to the gradient. I have to delect and reselect the object to change colors. I have to do this each and every time want to make a color change. Without this functionality I am not sure what the point of the tool is.
View 14 Replies View RelatedRecently when I click on an image/layer to rescale (like I have done hundreds of times) the height figure resets to 1 px. When I try to increase it back to the original figure, nothing happens apart from weird lines that appear below the image. It started yesterday, after I was in the middle of a project and Gimp crashed (which it has never done before). It does not matter how many new projects I start, after a while the scale tool stops working.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince I first upgraded from PSP X3, 5 months ago the eraser tool has worked great. But just in the last week I have been having problems with it not working correctly. It seems like it is faded and not erasing like it should. The hardness IS raised up to 100 but still no luck. The background eraser is working great, it is only the eraser tool that is acting up. Here is a screen capture of what it is doing.

After making the branch consisting of symbol needles (just a bunch of needles, grouped or not), it is not possible to use envelope on the branch and bend it. It can only be rotated or sized. Is it normal? How to create varieties?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI’m writing a large book, and so I have created a book file that includes 10 different “chapters” or .INDD files. Within this book I would like to include internal hypertext links that refer to other “chapters”.Unfortunately, these links do not work in my .PDF. I know that my Adobe Acrobat Professional application can “see” these links, because when I move my cursor over these links, the cursor changes from an arrow to a hand tool. But when I click on this link with my mouse, nothing happens. The .PDF does not take me to these links.
Likewise, I would like my Table of Contents to automatically link to the pages that are referenced in it. Again, I can see the “hand tool” when I move my cursor over these Table of Contents entries, but the .PDF does not automatically take me to these references.My first inclination is to suspect that something has gone wrong in the .PDF creation process. I create my .PDFs by opening the Book menu, and pressing “Export Book to .PDF.” When the Export window opens, I choose “Adobe PDF (Interactive)” then I press “Save.” When the Export to Interactive PDF window opens, I make sure that “Create Tagged .PDF” are selected. Under “Buttons and Media” I chose “Select All.” Then I press “Okay” to create the .PDF.Is there a step here that.I would assume that an “Interactive” PDF would allow active links that would have the ability to take me elsewhere within that .PDF. How can I enable InDesign to do this?
I am unable to select nodes and edit or delete them when using an envelope. I double-click or click and drag, and nothing happens. What do I need to do?

I played around with the mesh warp tool, but that thing seems nearly impossible to fine tune even when I use the magnifier.
The tool "Warp Brush" would probably work with some delicacy, but seems to be exclusive to Paint Shop Pro, and the smear tool obviously will not work...
I am creating a template that will have four text boxes that I will populate from a merge document. I need to have the envelope feature applied to each of the text boxes so any long text will be compressed to fit in the designated text box.
I understand the basic function, input text, select text, select Envelope feature but that sets the envelope box to the size of the inputted text, where I need a fixed text input box size.
Is there a way to stretch the width of text, once it is in an envelope or on a path? You can adjust the kerning(spacing), but I don't see anywhere that you can adjust the width of the letters.
An example: I have the word MAVERICKS on an arched path in a design. I want to change that design for the RAMS, so where it says MAVERICKS it will now say RAMS. The problem is RAMS is a much shorter word and I need it to stretch to the same width as the previously used MAVERICKS.
I've ran into an issues with the interactive split tool. Every time I try to create an edge from one place to another it's created at an entirely different point.
Basically, I'll line the dot (excuse my terrible vocab) with one edge, and the other with an edge directly across from it, it'll create a new edge from the first place I specified and end it somewhere else (other than the second point).
Sometimes when i want to add an edge between two others edges, the tool just does not create a new edge and I don't see any error popping. Some other time, it will create an edge but it's not going to place it where I wanted it to be. I would like to know how I could fix this problem and or what should i change in the option box.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm tyring to use the 2d Interactive Placment Tool without success. I can see the red box, I can see the arrow cursor and when I click I see the little arrow and box, but when I use the mmb nothing happens. I've seen a video demo and it works there, but when I try it no joy, very frustrating.
I drew a shape with the bezier tool and filled it in with the planar tool resulting in a shape that the Outliner calls a PlanarTrimmedSurfaceShape - I can see the texture, but it's wonky.
I've kinda ignored the clone tool as I thought it was useless. Now I find out that it isn't working as expected on my system. I'd be happy with any pointers as to how to refresh clones.
For example, if I change anything about a clone of artistic text, then ANY link to editing the text is gone.

I use the Corel Draw table tool regularly and since upgrading to SP1 the tool no longer works. I can create a table but cannot add rows, columns or even import tables from MS Word. All functionality has gone.
I am also running a machine with X6 without SP1 and the table tool works fine so what I have to do is create the tool in X6 and then it works fine in X6 SP1.
Also noting that the upgrade has not fixed the instability on the 64Bit version as every time I select an object to move it Corel crashes.
The brush tool is no longer working - when I select on any of the brush tools, spray, Art burhs, spray , line, marker etc, they will not work. When I select the drop down nothing is listed. Additionally, none of the other tools in the box, Effect Tool, Image Sprayer too ect, do not work as well. Did I select something to turn off the tool?
I've tried to uninstall and re-install and that did not work.
When I try to draw an ellipse (or circle) and drag it on to my sheet, nothing happens. All of my other shape tools work as they should. What has happened. It worked originally.

A few days ago - imported a jpg into Paint as usual, went to use the clone tool and it just doesn't work any more. I can select the icon and the little circles come up but it just doesn't 'clone' anything. Its as if there is mysterious setting that has been turned on that just makes nothing happen.
I have reinstalled the software: no luck - still the same.
I'm working with a plugin that I need to edit the source code so it can run in NONINTERACTIVE mode. I have no problem compiling it from source - in fact have modified to suit our needs already - but cannot not grasp from GIMP documentation what modifications I need to make it run in NONINTERACTIVE mode. (We have very large images, need to batch process them ....)
