When I try to interactively blend two objects i don't get any step objects. Shouldn't there be repetition of objects between the two that I want to blend? Am I making any sense?
View 2 RepliesWith a number of of paragraph text objects selected, the interactive rotate becomes increasingly sluggish in keeping up with my mouse position when dragging round. I've got a calendar artwork with 12 paragraph objects, and after I've let go of the mouse button, the screen will continue trying to update for anything up to 10 seconds afterwards, during which time I can't do anything.

I realise the cursor changes when over one but its seems very cumbersome to have to move it around until it changes rather than click directly on one which I could do if I could see it.

I have no problem compiling it from source - in fact have modified to suit our needs already - but cannot not grasp from GIMP documentation what modifications I need to make it run in NONINTERACTIVE mode. (We have very large images, need to batch process them ....)

View 1 Replies View Relatedi'm surprised nobody else has mentioned this problem, but when I place one shape inside another and try to apply transparency to the powerclip, the transparency only affects the original outside object. In addition, only the outer objects fill is affected, and not it's outline. The following image should explain this better.

I am trying to blend two AIArt objects (two rectangles created using kPathArt type), but obviously I am not able to identify appropriate SDK functions. I need to accomplish the same result with SDK as I would with manually selecting these two rectangles and applying Object -> Blend -> Make.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust checking thru all the stuff that I never got around to using and stumbled across the Interactive Connector Tool (ICT). However, when I try to use it, I can only get one end of the connection to actually latch onto an object. To fix the other end to another object, I apparently would have to make it the active object so that I could connect to - or even see - the nodes. But when I tried selecting both objects, the 2nd (connect to) object lost focus on my selecting the node of the connect from object with the ICT. Each time I end up with a line that is fixed to a point on the background as the connect to point and the connect from object on the other end.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI cannot get the Envelope tool to work correctly in Draw X5. Rather that go into a lenghty explanation, see below. Notice that some of the rectangles don't "bend" as they should. I converted all text to curves and then welded all objects together. However, it acts the same if they are grouped instead.

I work on CorelDraw X5, I have problems while printing an object with interactive transparent effect applied.I've converted the object to bitmap more times to apply different transparent effect in different direction.
Now when I print the file there are errors on the points highlighted by red circles. URL....I don't remember in the past to have had problems with CorelDraw 10 to use this effect.
I'm rigging a character for use in Maya 2011, which I'm not all too familiar with - How would I link the blend shape states for 2 objects, so when I increase the value of one blend shape for one object, it increases the value for another blend shape for another object?
I have a blend shape for the mouth open position & I need the teeth & tongue open blends to match as the value increases.
In 3DS Max I'd use the reaction manager - is there something similar for Maya?
I would like to animate a serie of objects I made with the blend tool in Illustrator. It is an object that transforms into another one, I am trying to put this into a small animation like a gif.
I have also Photshop but I know better Illustrator, so I tried to export each of these objects in separate jpg files
but couldnt find a way.
not being able to change colors of an object while using the Interactive Fill Tool? That is, change an existing color or add/delect a color to the gradient. I have to delect and reselect the object to change colors. I have to do this each and every time want to make a color change. Without this functionality I am not sure what the point of the tool is.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm learning to use Coreldraw for artistic metal cutting using a plasma cutter, so the file itself is important and not just what appears on the screen (or what prints out).
I've used the blend tool to draw some circles along a wavy path. I want the circles but I don't want the path. I remove the outline and the path dissappears on the screen but it's still in the file and when I export as a dxf file there is the path cutting right through the circles.
If I use Detach from Path then the circles simple come of my wavy path and end up in a straight line.
Are there any other techniques to give the same result but one where I can keep the circles/objects in their locations while removing the path at file level.
I know of a plugin available for Coreldraw that can take a bunch of dissimilar objects and place them on a path but at this point don't know if it can do what I need and delete the path afterwards.
Or is there any way I can copy the circles without copying the path.
So I'm creating some interface elements in Draw, and the shadow transparency blend settings always go out the window when I try to export my art as any type of bitmap. It just flips back to "Normal" regardless of what I've set it to be. Is this a known issue?

I'm using Illustrator CC (on a Win7 Pro machine) at a beginner level, probably halfway to intermediate. I'm trying to learn how to blend colors together for highlights of various types (skin tones, clothing, light on objects, etc.) so that when I'm making a graphic for a project I'll have a decent idea of which tool/technique is best for the specific effect I need.
I'm trying to use the Smooth Color option in the blend tool. Late yesterday afternoon I recall creating two ellipses (one of which was a solid fill and one of which was a gradient going from black to transparent) and getting a smooth color transition between the two. It was a much harsher effect than I was looking for so I didn't keep it. This morning, while trying to replicate the same thing, I seem to be unable to use smooth color between two objects if one or more of them has a gradient applied. I only get what you see below, which is a step between the two objects.
I've done searches and found multiple references to blending gradients in this way and have followed those instructions (create the shapes, fill with the gradients, then either click on the Blend tool and click on the center of each shape, or click on Object -> Blend -> Make) but I can't seem to get a Smooth Color blend if either object has a gradient applied. Am I missing an important step somewhere? I'm 95% sure I accomplished it yesterday and nothing has been changed since then.
I have a series of colored rectangles I'd like to blend into a single rectangle with a smooth blend of the colors, like a rainbow or spectrum.

In the circle is some text, rounded - not circle text, it is placed on top rather than typed in the circle directly.
I need to edit the text and it won't let me select it! No matter how far I zoom in to make sure I'm clicking the text, the circle gets selected and the blend tool opens.
They are not grouped or anything. This has happened before many times and with much persistance I get there eventually - but is there a much faster way?

I am trying to simulate the radius edge along the curve such that it looks like it is a 3D object raised off the surface with drop-shadow (c). I want to retain the curved line (b) and the 90 degree corners (a) The object has a three-colour graduated fill.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to blend two different art brushes with different colors using the blend tool. I'm trying to use two fixed-size line segments of the same length and then applying the two different brushes to those segments ( each art brush is a different color). Then I want to blend them the regular way so their colors transition. However, when I do this, the first shape is a different color, but all subsequent blend steps are the color of the second blended shape. Why is this? It doesn't blend the colors for some reason.

I want to learn how to blend these pictures together so that the colors flow more naturally. They were all taken with the same camera within about a minute of each other, but the difference if appearance is mind blowing. I goofed around a bit with the Equalization options, but didn't achieve satisfactory results.

I have an arc shape that I'm trying to fill with a gradient-type blend where it will be 0% spot on the lower left side gradually going around to 100% spot on the lower right side. The example I have attached shows the shape on the left with a conical fountain just to give an idea of something close, but it won't actually work for my shape. I also attached a cdr X5 file which contains a blend I was working on, but can't seem to get it to work (that is the shape on the right). I tried cutting it in half which works, but I still can't get it.
I often produce graphics in CorelDRAW, export it as en eps file and insert it inside a MS Word document as an image and finally convert it to pdf. This way my vector graphics (often linedrawings with or without fill) usually is preserved in the final pdf document. I can zoom in and the lines keep on displaying perfectly sharp. This is important, since it easily looks bad when thin lines are turned into bitmaps, even when watched from a distance.
Now, in some graphics I created today, I had a circle with fountain fill and outline (symbolizing a sphere) put behind a filled rectangle, which had a uniform transparency applied to it. In the resulting pdf file, the 'sphere' was turned into bitmap. Inside CorelDRAW everything was vector graphics, but something was loast in the process. what happens with the graphics in the different steps in the process and eventually could explain a workaround to make everything look as vector in the final pdf file.
I have "group1" and inside that group, only one layer: "layer1". The blending mode for "group1" is vivid light and for "layer1" it's "normal".
Now, if I change "group1" to "pass through" and "layer1" to "vivid light" ... the result is completely different, while it should be the same, shouldn't it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy designers are rendering images in FormZ (CAD program). Form Z has no way to directly output an interactive PDF where you can see a 360 degree view.
FormZ support and lots of info I googled tell me to run it thru PS Extended 3D. It seems that PS CS6 removed the .u3d export function so it does not seem to work. I've tried to go back to CS5.1 but that brings the CAD file in as a smart object and loses the interactive function.
Is there a path thru for either 5.1 or 6? Bottom line is we have the CAD 3D/360 files. We want an interactive PDF where our customers can get that 360 view.
