I've been making my drawing with the pencil tool obviously. After I make a stroke, I continue it with the last anchor point. But sometimes when I do that, the previous stroke disappears completley. Why is that?

at one point, i DID see the "X" but can't reproduce it now that i backed up and started over. I get an asterisk,then, when drawing a line, and adding to it, the first line disappears as soon as the second line is drawn.
Recently when I click on an image/layer to rescale (like I have done hundreds of times) the height figure resets to 1 px. When I try to increase it back to the original figure, nothing happens apart from weird lines that appear below the image. It started yesterday, after I was in the middle of a project and Gimp crashed (which it has never done before). It does not matter how many new projects I start, after a while the scale tool stops working.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot get the Envelope tool to work correctly in Draw X5. Rather that go into a lenghty explanation, see below. Notice that some of the rectangles don't "bend" as they should. I converted all text to curves and then welded all objects together. However, it acts the same if they are grouped instead.

Since I first upgraded from PSP X3, 5 months ago the eraser tool has worked great. But just in the last week I have been having problems with it not working correctly. It seems like it is faded and not erasing like it should. The hardness IS raised up to 100 but still no luck. The background eraser is working great, it is only the eraser tool that is acting up. Here is a screen capture of what it is doing.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to a new iMac, I see a flickering square at the cursor, when editing a path using pencil tool and Wacom tablet. Specifically, it appears when holding "Cmd" and selecting a path or "Option" dragging along a path to simplify the path. I captured a screen video and to my surprise, the square did not appear. In it's place is either a red or black circle. I am guessing these circles are part of the AI interface that I do not see on screen. I have not found any preference or documentation about them. Review this video. You'll see the circle, but not the flickering square I see on my screen.

i wish to keep using the pencil tool with a personal line stroke style (width and profile), so i can draw using the same line style, i am not able because each time I do a path i loose my style setting to the standard. Is there a way to keep the selected attributes once i do more than one path?

Here is an old map where you can see the double broken lines. I know how to set it so the line has gaps in it, but I need a line to be the same next to it.

same thing with the connect two paths. holding the command key doesn't change the behavior of the pencil tool.i'm guessing there is no way of remapping the 'smooth tool' to option again? or was it moved to another hotkey?
I'm using the Pencil Tool to draw shapes (not good enough for the Pen Tool yet) and some of my paths are not as smooth as I'd like, so I go over them with the Smooth Tool, though it seems like it either smooths the path a little bit or completely changes its shape.

This isn't actually limited to just the paintbrush tool, but all of my drawing tools. However, when my cursor intersects a guide path, words like 'intersect' and 'guide' do not appear, as I have seen them do for others. Also, the 'heads-up' information display that shows the width and height, e.g. when using the grid tool, does not appear either.
The guides are working to some extent, it seems, since I do get green lines here and there.
I want to make a 3.5" by 2" document. I created a new document, set the artboard width to "3.5 in" and the height to "2 in". When I open the document and look at the actual size, the proportions are correct but about half as big as they should be. what gives?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to add a stroke that's aligned to the outside of my path. It appears to be offsetting the stroke *and* moving anchor points at the same time. It does the same kind of thing when I align the stroke to the inside. It is fine when i align the stroke to center. The one that is offset to the top-left is the align-inside one.

On paint it shows exactly how the line looks as ur drawing it,
but on Photoshop it shows some rectangle outline of the line.

How do I set up another catalog in Lightroom 3 that will recogize my external hard drive so I can import and work directly on that external drive or do I have to create a new folder? I want to delete all the original RAW photos and JPEG photos from my laptops hard drive to clear up some space.

It just worked all of a sudden one start up, but prior to that and since it has not worked at all. Everything opens (the menu) and when I add a frame and select a brush that all works, but when using the mouse or Wacom tab it will not paint anything. I even upgraded to the latest drivers for the Wacom, but like I said the mouse wont work either.
