CorelDRAW X6 :: Why Multipage PDFs Suddenly Not Working Right
Dec 18, 2012
I was victim to the MS update that wiped out all the fonts. I undid the damage with a restore, it was the only way for my X64 Win 7 system. Now, suddenly, making multipage PDF's is a nightmare. I have always used the same process and settings on the PDF converter (been doing it since X3 with no issues) Now, I cannot set the settings to get a normal sized PDF... they usually are 5 megs for a 5 page pdf... now they come in at 35 megs? It's always ignored the graphic items I have placed off of the page... now, it appears it's including these items and I cannot figure out how to adjust the settings - I've tried everything.
The only work around was to save the file under a new name, delete all extraneous graphics off the page, then make the PDF. It comes out as it should if I do that. I've never had to do that before... it's always simply used the graphics on each page when it's checked as "pages 1-5".Â
I am using CorelDraw Suite X5 on a Windows 7, 64-bit operating system. I always used x,y coordinates for positioning objects. Last week that option suddenly stopped working. Now when an object is highlighted the x,y coordinates always registers 0,0. If I try to re-position an object by putting in new coordinates, objects are placed way off the page. My inputs are not held and the coordinates are back to 0,0.
I have multipage (16 pages) document with linked frames of paragraph text. Every page consists of 2 linked frames of paragraph text and second one is linked to the first one of the next page. When printed, it prints only first two pages as a whole. And the 3-rd and all the others prints only first frame of the page and two rows of the second frame of the page.
Is this my printer (Canon LBP3010) or the CorelDRAW ?
BTW: Paste 16 pages from WORD to Corel X6 takes infinity and crashes. In Corel 9 it takes about a minute for 80 pages!
I have had PS7.0 installed on my PC for years with no issues - then suddenly today it wouldn't open - Partly loads and then says "Adobe Photoshop has Stopped working" and shows the following error: APPCRASHPhotoshop.exe7.0.0.03caf9b42ntdll.dll I have done a system restore (Vista Home Premium) until well before this issue started and it makes no difference I have uninstalled and re-installed PS7 and it makes no difference I have installed the same PS7 onto a different PC and it works fine (also running Vista HP)
I'm a huge beginner when it comes to GIMP, but I wasworking with multiple layers, and suddenly my filtersstopped working. I used Drop Shadow for 7 layers, and mylast three layers won't filter!
Did you make a selection? Maybe small? And maybe even made its border invisible (ctrl-T)?
Your filters may be working on just a handful of selected pixels, rather than the whole image. This happens to me every time I usectrl-T to hide the marching ants.
Some of my actions in CS5 all of a sudden stopped working.  Some work, but the ones I use most frequently are not working at all. I have re-booted my computer, turned it completely off/on, re-installed the actions and the same ones aren't working. The action will run, but the brush will not work. For instance, an action called Flawless Face will run, but doesn't actually do anything when I go to "brush" the face.Â
In photoshop/indesign/illustrator a lot of my keyboard shortcuts have suddenly stopped working. Yesterday when i pressed spacebar in any of these cs programmes it would bring up the hand tool - now it doesnt.
And I can't use the pattern stamp tool either. Some switch threw itself and I can't paint or type any more. I created a new blank doc and nothing worked there either. There are no selected areas to be inside of or outside of. Every time I click, the history adds another line, but there isn't anything done.
This kind of thing drives me nuts. *If* there is a reason for invoking the brush and having it not work, there should be an error message like the one for trying to clone stamp without selecting a source.
I have used photoshop CS 5 since it was released and every other PShop since Photoshop 6. Suddenly the Clone Stamp stopped working and keeps telling me I need to alt/click to define. I have tried re-setting all the settings, redoing preference, and even uninstalling and reinstalling the programme. Same thing keeps coming up. Â
I use my color replacement tool to "copy" a color from one clipart image....then use that color to replace a color on another clipart image. This has always worked for me until yesterday. This is PS6.  I copy the color (with the color replacement tool)..then when I switch to the other canvas where my 2nd clipart is....the shade changes! Even if I copy/paste the hex code--it looks different on the two canvasses. The hex number remains the same but the color is very much different. I normally use the bucket to color the 2nd clipart.
The big problem is that when am doing whatever work, the program stop working and show a error message, that says: ERRORÂ FATAL: Unhandled access violation writing 0x000 exception at 70601612hÂ

And it happens when i'm on any kind of views or after printing..
My Pc is an: Intel Core i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10GHz
4gb RamÂ
Windows 7 ultimate x64 bits
I DON'T HAVE AN VIDEO CARD. I use the one that provide the Motherboard.. Thats Intel HD Graphic 2000
It doesn't change to match the diameter of the hole (which is a hole feature in both parts) and it doesn't bring up a list of fasteners. Â Everything is still highlighted in the assembly. Â It just won't do anything with it.

I have the Creative Suite cs5.1 student version (had it for about a year now), and now recently I have started to encounter a strange bug with Photoshop.
Sometimes when I have been working in PS for a while and then open another file, the photoshop starts acting weird, resulting in the file looking like this: [URL] .....
And if I try to paint anything, it will look pixelated like in this file:Â [URL] .... and if I use ctrl+z after painting the paint just looks like this:Â [URL]...... the 2 last named effects will also apply for any images opened before this occurrence, and it happens for any file type.
I have checked my video card drivers, and they are up to date, so that's not a problem (My graphics card is ATI Radeon 5700 series). I've also run a throughout virus scan with Norton without it finding anything.
i was using autocad 2013 without any trouble, i used break at point two times, after that i modified some layers and i think that nothing else, and the command break at point stopped working, when i press it it automatically uses the command break. what is going on?
All of a sudden my clickable links for Elements 5 are not working, even from the program menu. The only way to access it is if I right click on a photo and choose Elements 5 as my opening program. I am worried that if I do an unistall/reinstall that Elements 5 will no longer be compatible with my Windows 7.Â
In a book I am working on, the zoom toggle suddenly stops working. It shows up, but moving the slider does not change the image size in the photo cell. I can still move the photo around in the cell, but cannot zoom in or out. I can right click to change to zoom to fill or zoom to fit, but cannot manually zoom in or out from that. Tried changing the default method to Z2Fit and Z2Fill, but neither mode solves the problem. I have been working on this book for a while, and the manual zoom has worked seamlessly up til now, and suddenly it doesn't work. I am hoping I accidentally hit a keyboard toggle to turn it off somehow, and just can't figure out how to get it back.  fwiw the problem cropped up as I started adding photos from another source, which were Nikon-based jpg files whereas all the rest previously added were either digitial scans (jpeg or tiff) or Pentax files (RAW & jpegs). I cannot imagine this has anything to do with the problem, but mentioning it just because its the only thing that was different when the problem cropped up.  Using LR 4.1, Windows 7
I have been using lightroom 3.4 and photoshop CS6 for sometime. However suddenly I cant move images from lightroom to photoshop (Ctrl+E) with the "Edit a copy with lightroom adjustment". Â When I click this option, it opens the Photoshop. But doesnt open the image. However the other two options "edit a copy" and "Edit original" works fine. Â Also when i add photoshop again as another external editor, it works fine. But as you all are aware this create another copy of the image. Â What I did I checked the applications path for photoshop and it was correct. I uninstalled lightroom and reinstalled.
I have been using CorelDRAW to PDF's with vector information to DWG's. It is not something I do often so it was fine. I got a few more PDF drawings and decided to try the converters available. These are the trial versions, but the output seems to be worse than what I get with Corel.
I want to get a version of coreldraw, but can't afford x6, I need to be able to create high resolution pdfs and pngs and also to create stuff in CMYK. Can I do this in x3 or do I need to splash out on a newer version.
I need to make PDFs in PageMaker 6.5 that I can import into CorelDraw12. When making the PDF I have selected "embed all fonts" (I do not have the "convert to curves" option.) but the fonts are not being converted to curves. When imported all fonts display in Corel as artistic type or are substituted.  Is there a way to  convert fonts to curves in Pagemaker?
We have not been able to work out why hot-linked URLs saved in a document refuse to come across to the exported or printed and distilled PDFs in any multipage documents with facing pages set to on.
It will work with facing pages off. This looks to be an issue that requires a fix.
I have a question about exporting pdfs from coral (X3) with hyperlinks / bookmarks. I'm trying to prepare a presentation which has to be in pdf. In that presentation I want To attach a menu with links to chapters and basic 'next page', 'prev page' buttons. As for now I did not succeed to do this in coral : When I export to pdf with applied internet hyperlinks to pages, my pdf reader (acrobat reader) is trying to find an external file rather than skip to a desired page in that pdf. To make this clear enough i attach a simple version of what i want to achieve.
If I open a 4-page PDF in CorelDraw, I can edit anything in it. But if I save my changes, it saves as a 4-page cdr file. But I want to save the changes to the PDF. Is the only way to save the changes to the pdf file to re-publish the whole 4 pages to PDF again and have it replace the old one when asked? Wouldn't this further compress any jpgs?
Re-publishing the whole thing and changing the settings to no compression (and remembering to reset them back again later!) seems very inefficient......The question, of course applies to single page pdf's as well, but I'm thinking of deleting or adding a page or changing page order.
I create vector drawings in Microsoft Office Visio and I need to be able to convert raster images from PDFs into vector images compatible with Visio. I've tried tracing the bitmap with various options but the line quality produced when saved to a .svg file is not adequate for our needs. Images from a PDF that are not embedded work perfectly by saving to a .svg file, but the bitmap comes in as one unusable entity. Simply put, can X6 convert embedded bitmaps from within PDFs into vector files?Â
I have a file that will only be printed using one plate for black ink. The style mimics a newspaper, so there is lots of black text and then a few images.
I converted the images to RGB black and white in PhotoShop and placed them in the Corel file. When I export this as a PDF, of course traces of CMY show up in the PDF, so the printer would like them to be true grayscale.
I tried converting the images to grayscale in PhotoShop and replacing them in the Corel file. There is no visible difference in the files onscreen in either PS or CD. When I export to PDF or EPS, the images become washed out and flat, though the text remains a true black. If I try exporting a grayscale PDF or EPS from the original Corel file with the RGB images, then the images are less washed out, though still not ideal, but the text is no longer a true black. I also tried printing to PDF with PDF Creator, and I have the same problem.
I have a workaround (export as TIFF, select all except the images and bring the text back to true black, then export as PDF), but this seems nuts. What I really don't understand is why the RGB images and grayscale images would export so radically different when they look identical in PhotoShop and in Corel Draw.
I like my coreldraw x4. Â This sign shop actually has a copy of x5 but it was so so so so awful that we had to take it off of the computer.
I am having more and more problems opening pdf's. Â I end up with a rectangle with a line across the corner. Â I'm assuming the people sending have newer adobe than what x4 can handle? Â I can open the pdf;s in adobe reader but only give option to save as pdf. Â I just looked and it says PDF VISTA . Â Is there a way to save them as an older one? Â Kind of how corel draw can be saved as an older version?Â
And for some odd reason, on one of the computers (the one that has the email that these pdf's come from) doesn't show them with the pdf icon on the desktop. Â It has the green corel draw icon instead.
