I am beginner in Draw, and i could not find a way to add more than one transparency
on the same object in corelDRAW X3, it is no problem in corel PHOTO-PAINT.
So how do i do that?
Are we able to do this now in Coreldraw X6?
View 10 Replies View RelatedJust as it states, how do I add 2, 3, even four gradients to one object. Each gradient will have some level of transparency to it.
I need it to work similiar to: masking a layer in photoshop, and then using gradients to "chip away" pieces of the layer. I suppose I could just use opacity mask in AI, but I didnt think of that until now. Anywho now I'm curious, can you do this with multiple gradients in AI?
I tried doing the basic "add fill" option then setting my gradients, but it doesnt preserve the transparency correctly.
It looks as though my transparency object is locked because I am trying to edit a bitmap file and I don't get the checkered background behind the object.

Is there a way to edit the transparency of a dimensioned object? I have many complex objects and sub-objects with transparency fills and all individual parts dynamically dimensioned. I find I cannot edit the transparency of any part that has a dimension. Surely there must be a way to do this...?
My dimensions are color-matched to the fill parts, and the text dimensions and dimension lines are different sizes and weights making it very time-consuming to delete, edit transparency, and then recreate the dimension with all the desired properties.
Any way to change the size of the circles that I made so that they all enlarge yet keep their respected positions. So for the example below, I would like to just enlarge the circles and not the rest. If I select all the circles and drag them to enlarge, they lose their position. Is there a way to do this? This script [URL] ...... doesn't work for x6 but I think it is what I might need, correct?
View 4 Replies View RelatedA customer brought me some DWG plans, five files' worth. He wants pricing on cutting it out of wood. The cutting part won't take long, but fixing the file will. I could see that there were multiple lines because some lines were thicker.When I select one of the thicker lines and delete it, it's gone. So I knew there wasn't a second line below it. Then I tried Ctrl-K, to break apart the curve. Wow, some of the lines had 23 copies! So I would hold Ctrl, de-select one of the lines, then hit the Delete key to erase the other 22. This will take a lot of time to clean up like this. Do you know of an easier way to remove these excess curves?

How can I now move those pages spaced about a larger page, say 11" x 17" so I can have positioned and print multiple 2" x 4" objects on the larger sheet?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just been semi-forceably updgraded from Illustrator 10 all the way to CS6, and I'm noticing some things that seem to behanve differently. I don't know if they're "normal" now or not, but any way to change, that would be fantastic.
The main thing is about transparency. When I select an object that is 50% transparent and then select the Pencil and start drawing, the resultant new object holds all of the appearance of the old object—stroke color, stroke width, fill color—but NOT the transparency. It always shows up 100% opaque. That forces me to then go and select the 50% transparency for every object I draw, which can be a lot.
Is there a setting that will allow new objects to "hold" the transparency setting of the previously selected object? Or do I really have to manually change the transparency of each and every one after drawing it?
I'm going to connect my AI file to After effect. So I had to create lots of layers in order to edit them seperatly in After effects. But it seems like my amount of layers are too large because AE always crashes (not responding -> Force quit)
So I wanna break some stuff down in multiple AI files, but I don't wanna go and select every layer and delete it. That would take too much time. Is there a way to select the multiple objects in Illustrator and delete that but also its layer its in?
I have a logo that I am working with and I need to make it a 3D object for what I'm doing in After Effects. I am trying to make it 3D so I can edit it in repousse because all I really need to do is extrude it.
I've tried the different options in the 3D drop down menu but none of them bring me to edit in repousse.
Also, I know that I can make it 3D in After Effects my making multiples of it and what not but I don't want to go about it that way. Also, I'm working with CS5.5 and the 3D renderer plugin in After Effects is only available in CS6.
Import a photo image which is, for example, 100px high by 500px long. Now apply a simple fade transparency from the left edge to 100% transparent 100px in from the left edge (i.e. 400px of the image's length is now 'invisible').
Export this as a png and then import this png. It will still be 100 x 500 - can you tell Xara export the image truncated down just the 'visible' portion (i.e. 100 x 100)?
How to make a Contour object transparent? In below example is set a 1 step contour on the star, setting transparency the yellow is transparent but the grey not.

I am aware that the star could be turned to editable shape, after clone and subtract so the transparency could be controlled on both shapes, but is there maybe some other way?
Also could be a way of course to set outline for the star and not contour, but I do not like as in that case the line half inside and half outside of the shape.
I used to know how to put transparency maps on the same object as a texture map. the biggest problem I am running into is the file format, I have been looking on line through forums and tutorials but I get conflicting results. I got one to work at one point but then it reverted to showing the alpha bmp instead of the texture. gah getting frustrated. also when I was making the alpha channel some how it gave the black/white boarder area fuzzy division. maybe I didnt make it right some how.

I've created a block that uses a solid hatch acting like a wipeout field. In 2012, you can change the system variable TRANSPARENCYDISPLAY to <1> and it will make this hatch transparent. However, apparently that sysvar doesn't exist in 2010...

I have a layered .psd file where several of the layers are 30% opacity in black (essentially, the layers are meant to be drop shadows of some flower art):

When this .psd file is placed in Illustrator, on top of an object with a red spot color fill, the PhotoShop layers partially knock out the Illustrator vector object:

Is there anything I can do to the .psd file so that it doesn't knock out the red spot color in Illustrator? I'd like the spot color to be solid red all the way up to the edge of the flower petals.
In the past, we've worked around this by recreating the "drop shadow" in Illustrator, but I'd like to avoid that if possible.

I have three different solid object and all those three have different masks and stroke effects in them.
The problem is, the one at the top always reign and doesnt let other stroke effects on masks to appear. I reckon the problem is the background of the solid object. If this is the problem, how can I change the transparency of the background. If not, what might the problem be ?
Is there supposed to be a drop down list for the transparency property? Once I override an objects transparency to say 50 how do I change it back to ByLayer? Do I really have to just type "ByLayer"?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have imported a number of raster images into a drawing and wish to turn the "blank" bits transparent. I can set them all to "Background transparency = YES" in the Properties bar, but as far as I can see I need to go through each one individually to set the relevant transparency color, since as soon as I select more than one tile the "Transparency color" tab disappears.
Is there a way to do a multiple select as the "blank" color is the same for all the tiles? I'm planning to use a lot of tiles and this will be incredibly laborious and inefficient otherwise. I am using Map 3D 2011.
I created logo with a gradient object. The gradient is with a single color and transparency.
I can not export the logo, ( Ai, eps or pdf) in InDesign and keep the transparency of the gradient. Transparency becomes white. For the pdf, not only I do not have the transparency of the gradient, but I also have a block of white around my logo.
I have this script that basically makes a shape expand by adding an outline, conveting the outline to an object, and then welding the whole thing together.
I have the script set to execute with hotkey ctrl+numpad+
The odd thing is, when I run it once, it seems to work fine and only one object is left, but when I hold down ctrl and press numoad+ over and over again, it seems to produce a new copy of the object everytime.
I'm not sure why this is happening, but I need to get it to stop.

Resizing objects is a mess in CorelDRAW X6 when objects are outlined with Scale With Object enabled to retain proportions after resizing.
None of the tools dealing with outlines (e.g. Contour or even Outline itself) continue to work properly after resizing the object.
I strongly suggest to recalculate outline property values after resizing if Scale With Object is checked. Don't just do it hidden somewhere internally in the object model by applying a temporary scaling factor. Instead actually recalculate the actual property values if Scale With Object is checked.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to exclude single attributes from being defined in a object style? As example: i want to define an outline that does not change width of the objects, but everything else.
There is a small tick box right of every attribute with help text "None this object attribute is not defined by a custom style" but i can not mark it. My feeling is, that i need to switch on this tick box to get the result i need, but i can not. When i click on it, it just gives me a greyed out "Revert". When i try to make child styles, there is a way to break the connection to parent style with these tick boxes, but no luck.
Is it a bug? I tried it with X6, X6.1 and X6.2

Trim the master object and the cloned object gets deleted.The master object cannot be directly trimmed, so I grouped it with another object, which seems to enable the shaping tools. check if this behavior exists in X5 also.
I have inserted a clip about the problem. Maybe other users and the Corel staff will check it out.
I draw a rectangle and color it to M40Y80 in CMYK. Then draw Circle color radial fountain 80% Black & white.
Then apply Uniform transparency. Now I got problem in printing also & while making CMYK jpeg also same problem. If I convert to Bitmap CMYK same problem. but if you convert to RGB it look OK & then you have to convert to CMYK.
I just tried the pdf export of a multipage document. When I open it in Reader or Acrobat I see a grid where the page is not covered (transparency grid?). It has nothing to do with the Reader feature - the grid is in the pdf (I can see it with Pitstop in wireframe mode). Can't find where to turn it off.
