I have a Pegasus R4 and an IMac 16G RAM.
Playback is not in real time with 10 bits uncompressed 4k scan.
I chose the option "Play From Memory" and surprise I can play only 40 frames.
QUESTION : where can I change the quantity of RAM to read more images ?
Is there a way to get rid of the play tab on the timeline?
View 1 Replies View Relatedthere is a little bit of a "Play Lag" or Pause just after hitting Play. Afterwards it works fine. is just the beginning. Even on a Very Fast Computer with all resolutions even on Pro Res LT.
Also when I press "L" more than once, everytime I press it there's the pause or lag before changing speed.
I have a question about conforming material from Abode Premiere CS 5.5..I have a 720@50p source that was converted to Avid DNxHD 10bit 720@50p in Quicktime .mov container, using Media Encoder.Then material was edited in Premiere, cuts, dissolves and etc. Timeline in Premiere is set to 720@25p, because I need to output 720@25p finals.Premiere DOES NOT slowdown shots in timeline, it just plays them skipping every 2nd frame (I thinks so), so it is played in a normal speed and audio is in sync also. In Interpret footage settings nothin is changed - so, it still treats as 50p footage.
Problem is that I dont understand how to conform this footage correctly in Smoke.If I use automatic conform using wiretap import of AAF (same dir as footage is), Smoke thinking about this operation about 10-15 mins and then it creates a 1080@50p timeline where all shots are smaller it's native size and timing is completly wrong. They starts early than they should.If I use Video I/O I have correct sizing but timing issue is still present.
I need to create a project with PAL settings and override resolution to 720p?
How make Smoke to play footage same as Premiere does? Whithout shifting in out points?

View 3 Replies View RelatedEvery Quicktime I import and cache into my project won't play audio, even though the audio tracks show up in the timeline with waveforms and the seqeunce specs match that of the source audio. Apparently Flame users are having similar problems. I'm having to strip out the audio into AIF for separate import and re-sync.
Oddly enough, I can hear the audio prior to import when playing the preview clip in Media Hub.
when I'm in the MediaHub, using the player there, clicking on the play button will start playback but it does not stop it like it does in the other players. I would expect it to behave just like the play button in the Source/Record Viewers.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I import a short AVCHD or MPG (~ 1 min., 100 mb) into Premiere Pro CS6 or After Effects CS6, it plays great. When I import the same file into Photoshop CS6 on the same computer, it's jerky, even with sound off, frame skipping enabled, cached, and no other applications running.
System is a Core i7 with 8 gb RAM, 1.5 gb nVidia GeForce, Win 7 x64 and DirectX 11. All drivers ruthlessly updated.
Autodesck Exchange opens when we launch AutoCad. When any page displays with videos, there is a message that Flash is not installed. None of the videos play. Flash is installed and we re-installed it.

AutoCAD 2013 installed as expected but I can not run the Flash based introduction movies.
I am a new to AutoCAD, have never used to program before and would like to switching the "preferences" (which I can't find) to a better browser like Google Chrome.
Suggestion for Autodesk: Please dump IE in favor or propper browsers. IE has never and will never work properly.
In conclusion: How can I get the Flash videos to work. Where do I register the software?
Because of the above issues, I've installed AutoCAD 2013 on my iMac and everything is running as expected. I am more of a Linux/OS X user and have limited experience with Microsoft products.
If I switch from Frame Rendering to Layer Rendering I dont see any difference. Does it has advantages in certain situations to use either one?

We are looking to setup up our new Smoke for mac with our Old Linux 2010 Smoke Disk Array Using a Apple 4gb Dual Fibre Channel Card..
We can not see the XR 300 Disk Array on the mac or mount the disk on the mac.
The Mac Fibre channel utility tell the Array is link to the Card.
I've heard it said that it's not a good idea to use your system disk as the media storage, but I've never heard why. I'm running on a Retina MBP with a 750GB SSD. I did a couple of small jobs using it as the media storage and everything worked fine and fast. Then I archive it off to a slower drive. So what's the problem with doing that? SSD is way faster than USB 3 spinning drives & even Thunderbolt. I read somewhere that SSD isn't good for high end video editing, etc., but don't understand why.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI got that message when I was trying to export a Quicktime movie - although it appears it's going to let me continue to export the Quicktime - I'm hoping it'll have audio when all is said & done. Although I understand the words, I have the following questions:
1. What does it really mean?
2. How will affect me/my life/the Quicktime file I'm exporting?
3. Perhaps most importantly, why is it happening & what can I do to prevent it in the future?
The file I'm trying to export is the same one from the 7-hour Process time thread I posted about on here recently. It's the simplest possible thing:
- 1 Layer of around 15 "reels" spliced together
- 1 (adjustment) Layer of a single color correction gap effect that runs the length of the whole timeline (don't think this has anything to do with the problem at hand)
- 1 audio track w/ 2 mono layers, L&R, of a single AIFF soundtrack file
I have calculated some test renders on a small portion of the timeline in order to check things up. Now I would like to delete them and calculate everything at a later time.
Do you know the way to delete renders in order to save hard disk space ? I have tried the "force purge" function, but it didn't delete anything, the "Autodesk media storage" folder is still the same size...
And manually deleting renders in the "Autodesk media storage" folder messes everything up.
Is it possible to convert a folder shared in a server to a true disk ?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm making some music videos, and I thought I'd get the best audio quality using .WAV files instead of MP3 files. Trouble is, when I load a .WAV into my audio track, all I get is a bunch of noise and loud hiss. An MP3 file works just fine. If I play the "clip" in the preview window, each file will play just fine, but the problem shows itself when I play the "project" in the preview window. Is this happening because my computer has choked on all the data, and it's too much for it to handle? Am I stuck with using the MP3 files in my projects?
View 9 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden my Videostudio X4 will not play any clip for longer then a second or two. When you play a clip or the project it plays for 1 or 2 seconds and stops just like you hit the stop or pause button. Click play again and it does the same thing. Makes it really impossible to edit. It had been working great up until last week. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still have the same problem. I have excluded my anti virus from scanning the Corel folder.

When using SHARE-Custom-MPG the program renders the video, then displays a general error message and closes the program.
It seems to play AVI, MOV, MP4, WMV, Webm, UIS formats.
Other players work - ie. VLC , Media Player Classic and DIV-X. A black screen is shown in WIN DVD silver.
I have loaded H-Lite 9.90 , FFDSHOW and Windows 8 codecs, but this made no difference.
I have downloaded and installed Videostudio X6 as a trial, but this made no difference either

When I make a CD and try to play in on my DVD player to view on TV, I have a problem. My DVD play requires the exif format. I have been told that Photoshop drops the exif tag and thus I cannot view my images on my TV.
Is there a way to keep all the exif information and still use Photoshop?
3ds Max 2011, chapter Adding sound...I did exactly the same as this document presents but when pressed Play Animation button, there is no sound. It's stunning because in ProSound dialog, I can play the audio file without problems.

I look at Task Manager and dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe is pegged at close to 100% CPU usage and using 500MB of memory.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've made a project in Premiere Pro CS6 with greenscreen footage from a canon XF100 (MXF file).
When I open the project in Premiere Pro CC I can scrub throught the timeline everything is oke.
But playing or rendering the timeline, gives me only the bottom half of the greescreen footage. I see that in Premiere CC the clip with the footage becomes gray after putting an effect on it. When I do this process from the start in CC it works fine. But there are 52 timelines in the project made in CS6.
