when I'm in the MediaHub, using the player there, clicking on the play button will start playback but it does not stop it like it does in the other players. I would expect it to behave just like the play button in the Source/Record Viewers.
View 1 RepliesI find the need to keep manually refreshing directory listings to be kind of retro. Would it be possible to add a preference to auto-refresh after each export. Its very disconcerting in this day and age to export a file and not see it listed without additional manual interaction.
Also I find it a bit odd that the GUI refers to File Sequence not Image sequence but i can live with that if I don't have to keep refreshing.
Is it possible to display KeyCode from DPX to let me conform by hand?

There are 15 files, all from the same source, all the same format (.png), however, when I open the folder in the mediahub, it reads 2 or 3 of the files and nothing else. The other files are in the folder and are no different than the ones Smoke does read, yet for some reason the other files are nowehere to be found through the mediahub. This isn't the first time I've had something like this happen.

I chose the option "Play From Memory" and surprise I can play only 40 frames.

View 8 Replies View RelatedYesterday while playing with Smoke 2013 I activated the audio desk whiles in the standard player. It showed up as expected on the left side of the player BUT the Audio FX desk we used to see in the classic interface showed up on the right side of the player. That was awesome but today I activated the audio desk and only the mixer on the left showed up.

View 1 Replies View Relatedthere is a little bit of a "Play Lag" or Pause just after hitting Play. Afterwards it works fine. is just the beginning. Even on a Very Fast Computer with all resolutions even on Pro Res LT.
Also when I press "L" more than once, everytime I press it there's the pause or lag before changing speed.
I have a question about conforming material from Abode Premiere CS 5.5..I have a 720@50p source that was converted to Avid DNxHD 10bit 720@50p in Quicktime .mov container, using Media Encoder.Then material was edited in Premiere, cuts, dissolves and etc. Timeline in Premiere is set to 720@25p, because I need to output 720@25p finals.Premiere DOES NOT slowdown shots in timeline, it just plays them skipping every 2nd frame (I thinks so), so it is played in a normal speed and audio is in sync also. In Interpret footage settings nothin is changed - so, it still treats as 50p footage.
Problem is that I dont understand how to conform this footage correctly in Smoke.If I use automatic conform using wiretap import of AAF (same dir as footage is), Smoke thinking about this operation about 10-15 mins and then it creates a 1080@50p timeline where all shots are smaller it's native size and timing is completly wrong. They starts early than they should.If I use Video I/O I have correct sizing but timing issue is still present.

View 3 Replies View RelatedEvery Quicktime I import and cache into my project won't play audio, even though the audio tracks show up in the timeline with waveforms and the seqeunce specs match that of the source audio. Apparently Flame users are having similar problems. I'm having to strip out the audio into AIF for separate import and re-sync.
Oddly enough, I can hear the audio prior to import when playing the preview clip in Media Hub.
I really like Smoke, I've tried pre-release and I've noticed there is no realtime playback. I have pretty fast machine, MBP, 17, 1920x1200, SSD, 16Gb Ram, 2.3 Ghz (early 2011), AMD 1GB, but still it seems too slow for Smoke?
optimize it for laptops, because 50% of users siting on laptops.
I'm still tying to get used to Render instead of Process. While this begins to work I find the Render Button in the left side an obstacle when in a pace. Better would be the right side.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI added an Axis FX to the clip on the timeline and entered the Editor. Everything looks fine. I see the clip loaded above the control parameters. The "Layer" button is turned on. Stabilizer/Track is set to Track. When i click on the Stabilizer button to enter the tracking editor, I see the tracking box on a black screen, the clip is not visible anymore.

I have an SD Pioneer dvd player...model dv-49av. It plays all commercial DVD fine, but never a DVD I burn from VS. However, any DVD I burn from Corel plays perfectly in my Pioneer 23fd bluray player.
Anything I can do to change this? The disk type (-r, +r etc.) doesn't matter and the DVD that won't play plays fine on the computer. The disk loads fine, but when I select play the video or chapter it just locks up and I have to restart the player.
i try to load CFX setups in smoke 2013 but the little triangle near load button is not working........how i can choose replace for loading setups in CFX ?

Only problem I find is being able to save a Movie to dvd to play on a dvd player. The only way I can do it is to save the movie as a video file and then burn to disc using Windows DVD Maker. As far as I can see I have tried all options on Video Studio, and have had no success at all.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Pioneer DV-49AV DVD player. It will play any/all commercially produced DVD but none that are produced in Vstudio. The main menu will display fine, but pressing the button to go to the chapters or play will hang the unit.
I also have a Pioneer BDP-23FD blue ray player and the same Vstudio DVDs play just peechy. Is there some Vstudio compatibility switch that I need to enable prior to burning?
Recently upgraded from X2 to X4 (via box version). Created one DVD-V and one AVCHD (with -R disc) both only play on pc but not on any stand alone dvd player with "Unknown disk" error. Using the same Pioneer burner which created playable DVD-V before by X2. Did I miss some setting in X4? Another problem is with the AVCHD disc. Laptop won't play the menu at all. Had to go to the stream file and find the video content.

in action schematic i can select any surface and press 'solo' , i can see the output on viewer. This is very cool feature. But if i switch the surface to other surface/image then the viewer won't update properly. I have to refresh by click to turn off and on again the 'solo' button. This will be great if the auto update is fixed.

I followed the upgrade procedures and the projects appear in the projects list but they are empty once I enter them.I noticed a workspace icon appears next to the edit button the first time a try to launch a project. See attached screenshot. The only choice there is workspace.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Video Studio Pro X4. I'm just trying to make a simple, first movie and failing. I have a Sony HD Handycam that produces .m2ts files. I just want to be able to create HD movies that I can play on generic software on my tv. So I assumed I could create an MPG file and play it using Windows Media Player 11. After rendering an MPG file, I get no audio output.
- I imported the .m2ts files into VS
- Put two short clips in the timesline.
- Basic transition.
- Share -> Create Video File -> HDV (tried all options)
- I create the MPG file and I get no sound on playback using Media Player
I would think this is the most basic thing I could possibly be doing and it doesn't work. I am using an underpowered XP laptop, but I would think that would just be a speed issue. I'll get a better desktop for editing, but if I can't perform the most basic of tasks now I'm thinking it's a software issue.
i am using 3ds max design 2011 for making architectural walk through s,i usually render the frame at 740*576 size(300 dpi)and save as tiff sequence.then i will make avi file in after effects(with out any compression). After that when i play the whole movie,the movie will not go smoothly its getting jerks.what the wrong i am doing.i tried with 15 frames per sec and 30 frames per sec.
