I have a Logitech mouse that uses Set Point. I would like the sideways function of my wheel to function as Pan. In Acads CUI there is a list of ten buttons which different functions. How do I know which button is which? None of them have Pan by default, so how can I add it to a specific button?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've tried Match Source, Match Content and Match Frame and while they do different stuff, none of them are doing what I'm expecting.
To be clear, if I organize my clips into bins for an edit, I'm hoping to hit match on a cut sequence and the Smoke will take me to that clip in the media panel, and then I would be able to look through alternate takes of the same shot. It's more useful to me for finding similar sources than making a copy of the source which is already in the timeline.
Can't seem to find a EDL or XML import function - aren't that in the pre release ?

Right now I am using 2 computers, a mac pro and a macbook pro. I would like to use my MacPro's keyboard and mouse to control the macbook pro much like a mouse and keyboard on a second display. I've been using an application called teleport, but it doesn't allow me to use keyboard commands.
I've heard/used synergy, but it's to much work for the final product.
This is something that I have noticed on various systems (flame, flint, smoke). For some reason the Undo function doesnt work inside Sapphire Sparks.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI added an Axis FX to the clip on the timeline and entered the Editor. Everything looks fine. I see the clip loaded above the control parameters. The "Layer" button is turned on. Stabilizer/Track is set to Track. When i click on the Stabilizer button to enter the tracking editor, I see the tracking box on a black screen, the clip is not visible anymore.

But if i switch the surface to other surface/image then the viewer won't update properly. I have to refresh by click to turn off and on again the 'solo' button. View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to make a PIP in a timeline with Axis. PIP is a easy thing so I made it of course.
But the problem is When I use multiple PIPs. There's no Global axis like in Action, so I couldn't control PIPs at once. I thought make a Gap effect with axis or Container would be work, but It didn't work as I thought.
Do I have to make a mask for PIP? Is there any way to move, rotate, scale them together easily? & Axis could have only one image? In animation view, there's a Global axis and a image axis.
Kind of at my wits end with this software. Decided to give it a proper test on a job involving some wire removal and a bit of 3D comping. Every day brings hourly crashes, corrupted sequences, black frame renders, inability to archive projects, on and on. It's like every shot on this project is a minefield of troubleshooting and trying to find workarounds just to get a render complete. I'm spending easily an extra 20 hours a week just trying to overcome problems with the software.
Now I've got a sequence that I literally spent 4 hours on and just trying to open it brings smoke to a hard crash. Trying to make a cfx clip of the sequence takes half an hour to save so I've only been doing that once a day.

A quick question re bookmarks. My normal workflow involves working from one project folder on our server where all the rushes, edl's, artwork etc all reside. I just soft imported the rushes and added a bookmark to that network folder. However when I enter the conform module I have no bookmarks in that menu. Could we make the bookmarks global so that whichever module I am in in smoke I can see the same bookmarks, or at least make it a preference option?
