One of my co-worker has this problem with his cursor's crosshairs. When he moves his cursor the crosshairs are like blinking or sort of flashing. It's not that big of a problem but it's just getting anoying in a short while.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy cursor appears and disappears while in GIMP as I move the cursor over the canvas. I can make the cursor appear but only if there is no movement of the cursor. It makes no difference which tool I select, the size of the canvas, or the level of zoom.
Please note that this only occurs in Gimp, and none of my other applications. It started when I upgraded from openSUSE 12.1 to 12.2. I'm assuming that it has something to do with my input device configuration, but I could be totally wrong.
I have a total of 3 input devices - Core Pointer, Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse, and Virtual Core XTEST Pointer. Both the Optical Mouse and XTEST Pointer are DISABLED. Core Pointer is the only one enabled. Enabling Optical Mouse and XTEST Pointer give me other problems in Gimp and need to remain disabled.
For the Core Pointer, Mode is set to SCREEN, a message says that 'The axis X has no curve', and the following Axis Settings:

xtilt none
ytilt none
wheel none
In Gimp Preferences->Input Controllers, there are three active controllers - Mouse Buttons, Main Mouse Wheel, and Main Keyboard.

When it happened this time I had selected the Elliptical Marquee tool and created a circle on an object. I then chose the clone stamp tool and proceeded to clone inside the circle. I was just using the circle as a guide for the area I wanted to clone. When I did this I noticed that the clone tool cursor would blink on and off it will also keep on blinking as I move the cursor outside of the circle for a small distance and then if I keep on moving away from the circle it will eventually stop blinking.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor the past 2 months I've been using a Yiynova 10.1 tablet to design in Illustrator CS6. Later today I have an issue where the cursor would be on place but immediately move to a random area on screen. It is quick and I can keep my pen to point where I need to. However, everytime when I do close Illustrator the tablet seems to work perfectly. Photoshop and other programs seem to respond well with the pen and tablet, but Illustrator doesn't. I have ran a windows compatibility to all previous versions of windows and there are no results. I have reinstalled my Illustrator CS6 and the tablet doesn't want to play well still.

Since I'm working on a Cintiq I don't need visual reference of where my cursor is - it's where my pen is - and it actually annoys me to have this crosshair cursor in the way of what I'm doing. Ofcourse it's no problem to have a cursor for selecting tools or menus - it's only while drawing that it would be preferable to have a clean working area under the pentip.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently had to reinstall my OS (Win 7 64 bit) and after doing the same to my photoshop program, I now get a flashing cursor that changes to a waiting circle. Other post talked about DPI and Java, which I have checked and still have the same problem. I've had the program installed on the same computer without this problem, and the setup is the same with the usual update in drivers.
View 17 Replies View RelatedApparently the issue has been happening since as far back as CS2. The flashing text cursor is only visible in the upper left hand portion of the screen. If the text your are attempting to edit is on the far right or bottom of the screen, the cursor vanishes. Some people have suggested zooming in and out, but this only appears to solve the problem because the art board may get nudged into the "good" portion of the screen. I did a screen shot and found that the cursor is only visible in about a 930p x 600p area of the window (not including toolbars). Incindentally, the is the same size that the window defaults to when initially opened. On a HD monitor, this amounts to a very small space.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSince a few versions (I have Illustrator CC), my cursor in Illustrator input fields flashes extremely fast when i drag the cursor over such field. This could be a regular text input field or anything similar where you can type in something or adjust a value by clicking and dragging.
What happens is that the cursor changes to the Illustrator cursor and then back to the Windows arrow cursor in an extremely fast manner. It happens so fast, that it completely slows down the mouse interaction and the cursor movement lags behind my interaction.
I have Win 7 x64 with the newest display drivers. This problem occurs only in Illustrator and Flash.
I am running AutoCad LT 2014 and am experiencing an erratic cursor when using the move and copy commands. This only started to happen after a while of use and any resetting or restarting will not clear the problem. Instead of a smooth movement the cursor jumps.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhenever i move my cursor over a 3D solid, outlines of the solid stay dashed.I tried changing the visual effect settings but it doesn't work.
it doesn't only do this in every view (top,side,front) but also when i'm panning around and hover my mouse over any solid. Using the regen command resets the solids so that they don't have the dashed outlines anymore.
whenever i'm panning around and i have conceptual view on, i have to switch from conceptual -> wireframe -> conceptual if i want the solids to look normal again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I move my mouse over my image the brush cursor is not moving and it will not let me click on my image (with the mouse) the crosshair/cursor will follow it, however the brush will not, nor will any other tools, my wacom tablet however works fine.
I thought it must be something to do with GIMP accepting input but its not going as of yet.
For cropping part of an image, the cursor virtually snaps to positions according to what the programmer sees in the image. Maybe not always, but that is the way it seems to me in many cases. Even when it does not do so, I find it impossible to move the cursor in very tiny increments by using my mouse. If I were to greatly enlarge the image on the screen to get finer control, then only part of the image would fit on the screen. I want a technique for controlling the selection with as much fine precision as is available when resizing, for example. We can specify hundredths of a millimeter when resizing; very finely precise indeed.
Is there a technique that I can use to have very fine and precise control of a crop, preferably by specifying a movement left-right-up-down using decimal fractions of a unit of distance? The same question applies to using the selection tool.
I have used the marquee tool to select an area and moved it using the cursor keys. Now I want to drop it/commit it even when I hit enter I can't seem to get rid of the marquee flashing surround.

If I presses and hold the Alt key I see the cursor change from the current tool to the eyedropper tool. If I press and hold both the Ctrl+Alt keys a see a cursor icon change to an icon that has two up pointing Arrow heads one Black the other White. What tool is that cursor for? View 11 Replies View RelatedSince the end of Aug. 2012 I've been making families for a manufacturer. I left Friday evening with good families. This morning I am finding all the families I checked with a problem.
When I move the cursor across the various views it doubles the views. Rolling the mouse wheel one click either way to zoom in or out cleans the view but on the next time the cursor goes across the view it doubles it again. Now there are 4 views overlapping each other. The next time it is possibly 8, and so on. It is difficult to count them because they are overlapping but it looks like they are doubling each time.
The software is Revit Architecture 2011 and the computer is a Dell Precision T3500.Are the families corrupted or is it the computer? Is there a toggle I hit that I shouldn't have?
I have work to do on a bathroom group that is rotated at 18 degrees. How do I rotate my crosshairs to make this easer to work on?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was drafting away, and all of a sudden my crosshairs and pickbox disappeared. Once I move the mouse there's nothing in my drawing plane. I can type commands, and when I move the mouse up to the menu area I can pull down menus. I've opened up other drawings and the crosshairs and pick box are there.
What can I do to resolve this? Of course it happens during a deadline.

I opened a multi-tab CAD document, and my crosshairs disappear when I go into a viewport from paperspace. I can still select things, but I can't see what I'm selecting because the crosshairs are gone! The viewports in the other tabs are fine, I can see my crosshairs in those. I've looked for some setting that accidentally got changed, but can't figure it out. I'm running AutoCAD 2010.
